Where am I? I'm not home. This is not ThunderClan. What is that loud roar? And-Whoa! I'm being carried! Help! Who is that speaking? Laev on sel viisil! That means something. These people speak differently. And there is a brown she-cat carrying. Me....Laev on sel viisil!? The ship is this way? what in StarClans name is a ship? Often Keypaw had this dream. It usually never ended, and she was always left wondering what a ship was. Laev on sel viisil! How did she understand this language? she woke up to her usual view in the apprentices den, early dawn light streaming through the various cracks of the bush that harbored them all. She viewed her know-it-all sister, Jadepaw, twitch in her sleep, and the deaf apprentice, Charcoalpaw, sleeping next to his 'mate', Tawnypaw. Nothing was new, but why did she feel like something was wrong? Missing, even? shaking her head to clear away the troubling thoughts and that loud, water-like roar, she yawned and stretched and waltzed out of the den.
Scanning camp, she realized only few were up. Greyfire's kits mewled from the nursery. Everything was ordinary. Approaching the fresh-kill pile, she stole a mouse for her own and settled near the sunniest patch in camp so far. She heard a rustle behind her and snapped her head around, curious.

Silentjaw was up very early, unable to sleep after the incident. He saw the small she-cat apprentice Keypaw picking up fresh kiill, and he went to do the same. She turned around swiftly as he cracked a twig accidentally. Immediatly, he believed that she was afraid of him killing her, after what he had done. He shook his head, walking closer. It was an accident, he thought to himself. He remembered Tangleroot's words. "Sympathy is a waste of time," he had said. No. No it is not thought Silentjaw. He picked up a vole, the same one that he had caught while hunting with Moonpaw. His powerful, mute jawbone crunched into its thin body. Good meat, very moist for Leaf-bare. He looked over at Keypaw, his eyes twinkling. Hello.

For some reason, Keypaw could understand this mute cat! Scared, she flicked her tail in greeting. "Hi," she murmured, really wondering if he had actually greeted her. shaking her head, she felt miserably special.

Silentjaw cocked his head. Apparently, Keypaw was astounded at the way he interacted with other cats. Frankly, it made him laugh inside. He looked around, doing a quick sweep of the area and nodded to her. Why are you up? Silentjaw couldn't understand what would posess a cat to be awake at this hour.

Keypaw shook her head amazed. "Noh ... ma ei saanud magada." She gasped, closing her mouth quickly. What had she just said? A flashback came back to her-The brown she-cat that had carried her was speaking slowly, in the language she had just spoken. She was talking about prey....teaching them prey names. Hiir. Mouse. Küülik. Rabbit. she blinked, because she kenw these words. What was going on? Switching back to the real, moving world, she looked at Silentjaw shyly. "I could not sleep. Ma ei saa magada."

Silentjaw stepped back a little bit. What? What did you say? he asked by opening his mouth in a circle and opening his eyes wide. Was that a language? Or just mumblings? Whichever, it was quite possibly the oddest thing he had ever seen and heard, and this was right after a bleeding half-dead cat tried to kill him, because she was seeing someone else. But he had gotten an answer regardless. However, at the moment he couldn't say much back, besides his first question.

"I said...I could not sleep." she felt like a huge freak to this cat, and she buried her head in her paws. "I'm sorry!" she cried softly, wishing she wasn't different.

Silentjaw watched as the she-cat buried her head in her paws, obviously very upset. Unaware of what to do, Silentjaw picked up a piece of fresh kill and pushed it over to her. Silentjaw never really cared for cats on much levels, and he wasn't going to start now. This cat was odd, but nothing too different from the rest. This Clan had mute cats, deaf cats, crazy cats, alienated cats, and maybe even evil cats. He didn't even know what cats in other clans were like. He waited for her to lift her head again, so that he could "talk" to her.

she lifted her head at the scent of more fresher prey, and glanced at Silentjaw, confused. "Lost my cool there," she said in an ignorant voice, looking away. "It happens."

Silentjaw nodded. Of course. He stood for a second longer, then, seeing as there wasn't much more to do, started to walk off. Sleep sounded pretty good about now. Away from these crazy apprentices. Listen to yourself, he thought. You sound like an elder. He shook his head and smirked. No, your just...distinguished. Don't worry. Stop worrying.

Keypaw blinked as he left, and felt like calling out, but instead she put ehr head on her paws, listening to the sound of a waking ThunderClan.

Silentjaw stopped, one foot in the air still. Someone else was waking up. He started walking again, but very slowly. He wanted it to seem like he didn't care what was going on, but he still wanted to find out. So slowly walking, he pricked up his ears. There wasn't a scent yet. Who was it? One step, two step, three step, all so slow. Who was it?

He cast a wary glance at her, a smile not visible on his dark face. He was a golden and silver tom, striped and in some places spotted. He looked very fierce and defiant, but he was not too much her elder. He was strong and handsome, but did not look the least bit well-fed or recently groomed. But she didn't notice, nor care, because she did not see him. She lay weeping miserably, probably somewhere between ThunderClan and ShadowClan territory. Her love had broken her heart for the last time. She had fallen for the tom, his quirks and pains. The fact that he was blind. But he did not return the favor. Did he think she was pathetic? Ugly? A disgrace to the Clan? It was not her major flaw, for he was the same. And he had not been hypocritical. Right? But he had not cared, and here she was. Oblivious to her silent watcher, who could have spoken. It would have made no difference. Because he and she were not the same. She turned as she heard a crackling twig, and froze. Petrified with fear, she scented the air. There was someone watching her.
Nightsky stepped gingerly into the cam, swiveling her head from side to side. She might just start a new life here. As far from her home as she could go, and with a friendly new leader, he would easily be accepted. She had nothing to lose in asking for help, offering her own life to a Clan she had once hated as a rival. But she was a changed cat now, and she was prepared to join ThunderClan if it meant a place to relax. Maybe settle down and start over. But would they want her? She blinked her blue eyes at an apparent cat and his apprentice enjoying a meal. She nodded in greeting, waiting for them to notice her. She would know when they did.

Jadepaw had alos been out, and now she smelled something. Sniffing deeply, her audits turned black. Rouge? Loner? she sometimes mixed those two up. Creeping up behind the intruder, her hea;thy muscles rippled underneath her pelt, showing her strength. The know-it-all apprentice had recently been crying at Snakerocks because no one liked her. Imagine what they would say when she caught an intruder! Preparing her haunches, she leaped, aiming for the older cats back. She was small enough to wrap her claws around the intruders chest and do some questioning.

Nightsky heard the cat stalking her, and side-stepped as the apparent she-cat flew past her. "I mean no harm. I only wish to see your leader." She said with a warm smile, feeling a little agitated that the apprentice would try to attack her. Even if she was limited, she could fight pretty well, and would if she needed. She looked up in the direction of the other apprentice with still a smile.

Jadepaw rolled her eyes. she had sprang into a bed of ferns instead of a inruders back. Lips tore back into a snarl, her jade eyes gleamed. "How do we know your not a SilenceClan invader?" she spat, claws unsheathed.

Nightsky shrugged. "I came from TrueClan. I smell of TrueClan." She said with an honest sigh. This apprentice might be hard to live with. She didn't want to think about TrueClan now, though, and decided that it'd be for the best to ponder her new Clan instead of the old one. "But your leader?" She asked softly.

Silentjaw turned around at the quarrell. He walked up to the "TrueClanner". His nose pressed up to hers, and he blew out hot air. You may not see our leader.

Cooling down a little at the mentioned name of TrueClan, Jadepaw sheathed her claws but kept a steady glare on the she-cat. she blinked at Silentjaw, a growl in her voice.
"It's fine, Silentjaw," She said, wondering how she had heard the mute warrior. But that was besides the point.
"Firestar is in camp. I'll take you to him. But, I have two questions." she sniffed haughtily.
She inclined closer to Nightsky. "What is your name? and why did you leave TrueClan?"

The tom's fiery, defiant look of cold silence didn't affect Nightsky in the least. She hissed venomously, and the tom's mood suddenly became relaxed. He said something strange, and she felt her heart flutter. He sounded too much like Saviorsoul in a foreign way of course. But still...
Nightsky pulled herself back from the tom, shocked. "Of course I may not see him. But I can listen and talk to him." She said, rolling her blue eyes sarcastically. She turned to the apprentice. "I am Nightsky... And I'd rather not talk about it..." She felt a burning pain in her heart for him. Why had he abandoned her? Why did everyone abandon her? Her brothers, he loves, her Clan. Herself...
