Topazleaf smiled as she watched her kits play. Macadamiakit toppled over her sister Chiveskit. Topazleaf wondered why Twitchkit wasn't playing with his sisters. The poor little fellow didn't even have a friend yet.

Twitchkit sat in the corner of the den, grooming his tail absent-mindedly. He didn't care about his sisters playing, his mother watching, or his father out hunting. Well, he did. Just not right then. As he viciously groomed his mangeled tail, which became more mangled as he did so, he pondered the unusual, calling emptiness inside him. As if his tail held the answers he attacked it viciously with a groomer's tooth and tongue. He sighed an overwhelming, empty sigh.

Topazleaf padded over to her son and sat down next to him. "Why aren't you playing with your sisters?" She asked, a curious and very concerned expression flowed upon her face.

Before Twitchkit could answer, a loud racket was made at the den's mouth. Othernight, Littlecloud and Othernight's mate Chasernight all paraded in with a mouthful of kits. Setting them down, Othernight lay and let the five little newborn scraps suckle happily. "Chasernight and I got a little surprise today." The she-cat smiled with a wide grin. And they aren't accidental mistakes. The old Fallingstar cried out.

"They're so adorable!" Topazleaf purred with enthusiasm. Her kits were now about 2 or 3 moons at the most and still nursed on her, but were able to try freshkill. Not very much of it though.

[[Kits generally open their eyes at 2 1/2 months, so they'd be three or four moons. Probably four if they are eating freshkill, but it's Topaz's choice on how early to start them.]]
Othernight smiled, nodding. "They have a beautiful father. That's where they get their good looks." Fallingstar had never thought of herself as a beautiful she-cat. Pretty, maybe, but not beautiful. Othernight, however, knew she was beautiful. She just wasn't about to admit it and sound vain. "That Twitchkit of yours has a... far-off look in his eyes. I've seen it before... once..." Othernight tried to remember, but her old self was becoming even more a faint memory as of late. Still, she had seen that look before...

OOC: Okay, three or four then ;D
ic: Topazleaf gave an utterly, yet exasperated sigh. "I know, I've seemed to have noticed it too, but yet, I don't think he has any idea of the sort."

Othernight nodded slowly. "Fallingstar's memory is but a breath on the wind. I have not the faintest memory of it, but somewhere have I seen that same look of loneliness... But only for an instant. Maybe you should ask him?" Twitchkit gazed out of the den longingly, as if he were being pulled out to an unknown source, and yet he was shackled to the spot.

Topazleaf nodded understandingly and padded over to her son. "Twitchkit, is something.....troubling you." She hesitated before continuing her sentence.

Twitchkit nodded absently. "I feel like my heart is empty. And my paws pull me off, but I am shackled down here." He sighed, not looking at his mother.

[[If you follow him, you won't find him, 'kay?]]
"HOW SHOULD I KNOW!?!?!?!?!" Twitchkit blew up at his mother, a growl erupting from his throat. Then he - against code - stalked out of the den, vanishing into the vast TrueClan territory. Little did he know he was following that subtle breeze of feeling, fighting against the shackles that held him back.

"Twitchkit no!" Topazleaf wailed as she watched her son disappear. Macadamiakit raced after her brother in pursuit.

Lightningstrike saw Macadamiakit dart out of the Nursery. Dropping his two mice, he raced up to her and grabbed her by her scruff. Dragging her back to the Nursery, he glared at her. "No leaving the Nursery! You could get hurt!" He looked at Topazleaf and Chiveskit. "Wait, where's Twitchkit?"

[[Go L K! xD The black she-cat is not an actual character, just a cat to appear]]
Lightningstrike turned and bolted after his son.
-
Twitchkit scented something, saw eyes approaching. Suddenly, something had pounced on him. Rolling over, he kicked off a beautiful, lightly dappled she-cat. He blinked a few times. Suddenly, the empty feeling in his heart vanished. "What's your name?" He asked, smiling. "Speckledkit." "I'm Twitchkit." Twitchkit's whiskers began to twitch nervously, and Speckledkit purred in amusement. But just as the fun had started, Lightningstrike burst from the undergrowth. Another rustle revealed a jet-black she-cat with a vicious gaze. She pulled Speckledkit back underneath her. "Keep him off our land." "You hers, bile." Lightningstrike spat, picking up his kit. Both split ways. Twitchkit felt once again that horrible loneliness, and sighed.
-
"Here's the little brat who found his way into SilenceCan." Lightningstrike shoved his son into the den unhappily.

Chiveskit sat watching Tempeststorm's kits nurse. She had taken an interest in them, especially Dreamkit. The little kit was so cute, and Chiveskit felt she needed a friend. Tempeststorm smiled indulgently until Lightningstrike stormed in and disrupted her kits. Longkit hissed and withdrew, away from his mother. Destinykit turned and began to stumble towards the opposition. Her eyes were just opening, and a vibrant blue color was showing from beneath her lids. She mewled unhappily, not liking the disturbance. Chiveskit put her paw gently on the kit's back, and purred when Destinykit began batting at her tail. The two kits began playing, Chiveskit mainly attempting to avert Tempeststorm's kit's attention. Longkit soon crawled over, curious, and began playing with them. His little dark grey paws trapped Chiveskit's tail and he bit it. Chiveskit gave a little squeak, jerking her tail away. Destinykit hissed at her brother, who sulked back towards his mother.
OOC: LOL, he has such a funny personality. XD

Passion purred, walking into the den after wandering aimlessly around camp. she wondered when Dragonstar would make her little Moonkit and Sunkit apprentices- it had to be soon. Ah, the excitement on their eyes. She padded up to Destinykit, aware the nursery was getting a little crowded for comfort. Sitting down, she called Sunkit with the flick of her tail. "Do you want to do a small apprentice job for me, hmm?" She enticed, smiling warmly at her little warrior. Sunkit nodded eagerly. "You see the moss growing near that birch tree right next to the warriors den? I want you to do the elders a favor and clean out their bedding, if someone hasn't done it yet. Don't leave camp, I'll have a keen eyes on you!" Sunkit tromped away, a little upset he had to do a chore. But it wasn't as if Passion would let him battle SilenceClan cats. She shivered idly. That name was a horror.
Shutterfly angrily flicked her tail. "Will you cats who are just sitting around here leave? Your going to hog up all the air!" Shutterfly, like her brother Authentic, could be nasty and stubborn at times, though she was horribly different than her brother. It's just that when you were a mother raising four adventorous kits, you got cranky.

A lithe grey she-cat who had nestled herself in a lonely corner of the nursery let out a faint snort.
"Oh just let them be, Shutterfly." She muttered. Angel was growing irritable but she didn't let that show. Moonkit was sitting beside her, the kit's eyes wide as she related a tale about a fierce war between Clans in a much drier, sadder place. Angel had grown increasingly depressed telling her story, so the lighter subject of playing kits was welcome. But Moonkit wouldn't give up.
"What happened to Faithstep and Leapingwind?" She pressed. Angel closed her eyes and sighed.
"Faithstep dissapeared, and Leapingwind was killed in the battles." She sighed. Moonkit was silent for a few moments.
"That's a very sad ending."
"Not all endings are happy." Angel said. Moonkit looked at her for a moment, and then she smiled.
"I want to be like Faithstep one day!" She exclaimed, rising to her paws. She raced across the nursery and skidded to a stop beside her mother. She looked up with big, happy eyes.
"Mamma, can I be called Faithkit? Pleeeaaase?" She begged. Angel frowned slightly and turned her face aside, trying to block out the coming conversation.

[[Boy this den is crowded... Shutterfly, Sunkit, Moonkit, Angel, Passion, Topazleaf, Chiveskit, Twitchkit, Macadamiakit, Dreamkit, Destinykit, Longkit, Tempeststorm, and Lightningstrike... O.O]]
Lightningstrike felt overcrowded, so bowed his head. "I'll be off now." He murmured, turning and padding away swiftly. Twitchkit just buried himself in his mother's fur in shame.
Dreamkit opened her eyes last of her siblings. When she did open her eyes, however, they were a strange indigo color, dreamy and mysterious. She blinked a few times, her vision adjusting. As she did so, the vibrant colors of the world swarmed her. So many blues, greens, golds and the occasional red. She hissed, closing her eyes once again. She felt the warmth radiating off of every cat, and she peeped open her eyes. A hazy purple and blue background, the cats' fur all blue. Some tinges of green in patches. Where a cat was most bare and warm the green showed through. She hissed again, closing her eyes once more. She didn't like the way the world looked. Or felt. Or smelled for that matter. It was all too... warm. Making a mad dash out of the Nursery as quick as she could, she shrieked as she realized the whole world was like that. She collapsed near the fresh-kill pile in a sad bundle, wishing that it was a cold place in which she lived.
[[Can you guess her mysterious ability, or 'Sight' as the elders might call it?]]
