Destinykit was glad that her present pleased Dreamkit. The young she-cat smiled at her sister, not understanding quite what her sister's noise meant, but she knew how Dreamkit felt, and that was enough. Destinykit purred back and lashed her tail twice. Longkit was watching them closely, his eyes fixed on Dreamkit. He wondered how Destinykit made her feel good and he didn't. But then again, Longkit didn't really give a mousetail anyway. He turned away and clumsily made his way to the nursery. He didn't want Dreamkit to be sad, but he couldn't help her, so why bother? Longkit growled a little to himself. He felt so worthless, and yet what could he do? With a sigh, the kit stopped moving. He turned and stared at Dreamkit and Destinykit. His sisters seemed to get along better than he did. He wished he could have someone. He wished he wasn't alone.

[[That's probably why... xD I mean, he doesn't care, so why should he be able to help? And don't worry, Devil is all yours, Longy!]]
Dreamkit purred a rough little purr, turning to following her brother. She walked into the Nursery and walked over to her mother, stone in her mouth. She placed it at her paws, curling around it and falling asleep. Sleep was an escape from the heat and the light and the color. It made everything better. It made it all cool. Sleep was good.

OOC: He's tried before but it hasn't worked so well for him. *sigh* Poor Longkit.
BIC: Tempeststorm watched Dreamkit with a slight smile. She wondered where the kit had gotten that strange black stone. Destinykit, Longkit, and Chiveskit returned to the den. Chiveskit went to her mother, and Destinykit to hers. Longkit sat down and stared at his sister as she sat down beside Tempeststorm. He opened his mouth, and then sighed and turned away. Destinykit turned and stared at him. A frown creased her brow and she flicked her ear. She didn't move for a few moments, and then she cocked her head and stared at Longkit with a sad expression on her face.
"L-Lo... Long... kit..." Destinykit mewed unsurely. The tomkit had turned his back on her, though, and was ignoring her. Destinykit's wide, confused eyes suddenly took on an expression of understanding. She sighed.
"Brudder." She murmured to herself and then she curled up and fell asleep.

Dreamkit padded up to her mother, blinking her clear indigo eyes up at her. They swirled, faintly but still, bright purple, blue, orange, gold and red, moving around like a cyclone. She hicupped a little and then pounced at Chiveskit playfully.

Chiveskit, startled at Dreamkit's playfullness, wasn't sure what to do. She wanted to play - yes - but she wasn't sure how to go about it. She decided to use her tail, so as not to alarm the kit. Chiveskit tweaked her short brown tail playfully back and forth, trying to lure Dreamkit after it - it had been Chiveskit's favorite game when she was younger... and in fact was now.

Dreamkit chased Chiveskit's tail happily, bouncing around with glee.
-Ceremony, Now Some Cats Are Apprentices-
Dreamkit waited for Chiveskit to come back and play, but the she-kit never came. What Dreamkit did not know was that her 'friend' was now an apprentice, and would not be coming back unless it was just for a visit.

Destinykit sat beside Longkit, playing with a small pinecone her brother had found. She batted it to him and he batted it back, seemingly uninterested. But by his quick reflexes it was obvious he was paying close attention. Destinykit looked at Dreamkit and made a soft but high-pitched noise. The kits were two months old now, and Destinykit could speak better than any other kit in the nursery - older or otherwise.
"You want to come play, Dreamkit? It very fun." She meowed, her strange and silvery voice ringing in the den. Longkit dabbed at the pinecone and tried to smile at his little sister.
"Vury fun." He meowed clumsily, his voice morphing the words until it was hard to understand them. One who observed the two would think that Destinykit was almost five moons, and Longkit only one. They seemed very different, and yet relaxed and having fun together at the same time.

[[Kits don't open their eyes until about ten weeks, but whatever...]]
Dreamkit would've seemed much younger than her brother by the way she acted. She did not mean to ignore her siblings, but the meanings of the words were almost impossible for her to understand. To the pretty she-kit, they were only funny sounds in a streamline, nothing more. She had broken them down to just that. Her mind did not race, but it did race for her amount of aged complexity and experience. She tried to get her head around what her sister had said. She kept repeating it over and over, but still all she heard were sounds in a pattern. Nothing special. Longkit was of absolutely no interest to her, his words were just as confusing. But Destinykit was intriguing to Dreamkit, and she had to understand. However, her sister could have said something entirely pointless or sounds in a row, not words, and Dreamkit would've made no clearer sense to them. The kit shook her head, the words repeating like stones rolling down a hill. Tumbling and jumbling together in a heaped mess at the bottom of her adolescent mind. Just sounds. Why were they just sounds?

OOC: ... My cat's had several litters and if that happened I would have a heart attack!! They usually open their eyes at two to three weeks.
BIC: Destinykit noticed that her sister seemed to not understand her. So the young she-cat smiled and crouched, batting the pinecone towards her but not too hardly.
"Play!" She purred, lashing her tail. Longkit sat and watched with a somewhat interested expression.

[[Weird! My research shows otherwise! ... -confused- Oh well, right?]]
Dreamkit looked at the pinecone without much interest. Sniffing it suspiciously, she let it rest where it had landed near her and looked up at her sister. Once again she did not understand. Destinykit was wasting her breath, and Dreamkit knew that much. She looked at her brother with a strange, unreadable expression and then back at the pinecone. Then to her mother, where she let her gaze rest.

Tempeststorm smiled at her kit. She reached out with her paw and gently tapped the pinecone toward Longkit, but not out of Dreamkit's reach. She nodded to her siblings. Somehow words did not seem to get across to her kit, and that was fine. She would teach her with gestures, if need be. She saw Destinykit motioning to Dreamkit with batting-gestures, showing her that she should pass it back to them. Longkit seemed a little interested; at least enough to be helping Destinykit.

Dreamkit blinked, cocking her head to one side in puzzlement. They were all acting like monkeys, batting their paws around playfully. Dreamkit smiled and then sneezed delicately. Curling up, the she-kit fell fast asleep.

Destinykit watched her sister and then sighed. She padded over to the pinecone and batted it back to Longkit, who caught it easily in his paws. He began to bat it back and forth, and then struck it with his nose back to his sister. She smiled and batted it back.
