Passion blinked warmly at Moonkit. "No, dearest. your name is forever Moonkit, then Moonpaw, then your surprise name at your warrior ceremony. Come outside with me, hun. It's stuffy in here." She led her kit outside where the air was a lot fresher and clearer. She spied Sunkit doing the chore she had suggested for him, and mrrrowed in amusement as he marched happily back to the Elders den with a fresh wad of green, springy moss his his strong jaws.
Shutterfly lashed her tail. "Angel, do you not see the danger with so many cats in here? Trotter is so mischievious, she could get stepped on." The queen didn't like being irratable to more experienced cats-not the best way on being liked within this Clan.

Angel yawned and gave a slight nod.
"I guess." She closed her eyes and rested her muzzle on her forepaws. What was she doing in here? She wasn't due for another moon; she might as well enjoy her time out of the nursery. But Angel had always been protective of things that were important to her, and she didn't want to leave Emi and her brother's mate, Passion, alone.
Moonkit pouted slightly but obeyed. She sighed as she looked up into the sky.
"I hope I can be called Moonfaith one day, then!" She meowed with excited vigor. She saw her brother and leaped to her paws, her tail stuck straight in the air.
"Can I go hear the Elders tell a tale, mamma? Pleeeaaasse???" She begged.
OOC: Aw, she's so cute!
BIC: Chiveskit made a frustrated sound when she noticed Dreamkit was gone. Tempeststorm had fallen asleep, so she decided to fetch the kit. Longkit and Destinykit on her tail, the young she-kit exited the Nursery. She saw Dreamkit curled up in a little ball.
"Dreamkit, you should be in the nursery!" Chiveskit scolded. Longkit and Destinykit, who had opened their eyes before their sister, had no idea what she was doing. Longkit made an irritated sound and Destinykit shook her head, signaling dissaproval. Chiveskit was more worried than irritated, though.

OOC: Wow, gone for this long, sheesh.
Topazleaf bent her head. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she thought about Twitchkit running away. Macadamiakit padded over to her mother and sat down wordlessly.

Twitchkit gazed fondly out at the open, inviting grasses he had only recently visited. The pretty she-cat and that place... Suddenly, he remembered the hollow feeling had vanished when he had been there. It was that place, that small clearing and puddle of water that made him feel better. He knew he had to go visit there again, if only for an instant, so he could feel complete again.
-
Dreamkit only started to scream when the she-cat approached. She hated the radiating warmth of her pelt. It burned her with a fervent heat of mind. She hated it. Hated any cat's warm presence.

Chiveskit flinched away when Dreamkit began wailing. She crouched, her ears pinned back. She didn't know what to do. Why was Dreamkit so alarmed? What was wrong? Longkit's eyes turned from his sister to Chiveskit, probably wondering what she was going to do. Destinykit sat down and stared at Dreamkit.
"Not like sissy? What wrong? Mm? Not like sissy 'n' brudder?" Destinykit's words were fast and slurred, but clear and distinct, as well. Chiveskit started and the fur along her spine prickled. She turned and looked at Destinykit. The young kit's eyes sparkled with a startling intelligence. Chiveskit was speechless. She had never heard of a kit as young as Destinykit speaking before.
Destinykit sat watching her sister, wondering what was wrong. She remembered words, understood words, knew how they worked, but how to voice them? She sat there watching, waiting, trying. Finally the words came, but quick and clumsily. She stared at Dreamkit, sensing in her some confusion, some pain. She wondered what was wrong, but she couldn't imagine any reason for Dreamkit's strange behavior.

Dreamkit stopped wailing momentarily, the soft sounds of the words running together like a cool breath upon her. She felt... better. It was not as hot. She sniffed. "Naw." She meowed, though it was more a strange sound than a word. It wasn't actually meant to be a word, though it seemed to copy her thoughts exactly. 'Naw' like 'No', but she herself did not know, and she wasn't like them. She saw and felt things very differently. She saw in patterns of heat rather than light, as felt the same. But something about Destinykit was different, comforting, as if her sister was the chilling Northern wind to her heat-stricken ways.

Destinykit could sense a change in her sister. She inched forward a little and placed her head on her paws.
"Wanna go nurs'ry? Wanna go? Hmm? Watcha want?" She asked, her curious little eyes shining as she looked intently at her sister.

Dreamkit wanted to be alone. She shook her head, eyes shut tightly. Twitchkit peered out at the kits. He snuck back out, curiously looking at Dreamkit. "Whas wong?"

Destinykit wrinkled her nose and backed away.
"She no like us near. We leave 'er 'lone. She like dat." Destinykit meowed with a nod. Chiveskit sent her an exasperated glance but didn't comment. Longkit looked at his sister and blinked, but then he lost interest and padded back to the nursery, his tail twitching irritably.
"Brudder not like ta play. No." Destinykit sighed.
"Oh, he's just being a grouch." Chiveskit meowed, stroking Destinykit's head with her tail-tip soothingly. The kitten purred in reply.

"Yeah." Twitchkit agreed with a sigh, backing away from Dreamkit. "We can't leave her out here like dat."

Destinykit shook her head.
"No leave sis. Jus' not go near. Mmm?" She purred, cocking her head and staring with wide, curious eyes at Twitchkit. Then, with a sound of pleasure, Destinykit bounded to a place where a small pebble sat. She crouched there and stared into the sky.
"What are you doing?" Chiveskit asked curiously. Suddenly a beautiful butterfly flew from behind the nursery. Destinykit remained completely still. The butterfly landed on the kit's nose, and Destinykit smiled widely. Chiveskit was confused. How had Destinykit known the butterfly would come to her?

[[How can Chiveskit speak so fluently? She's just a kit. And Destinykit is starting to scare me...]]
Twitchkit purred in amusement. "Love dose butterflitters!" He said with a smile. He watched Dreamkit and sighed, feeling bad for the poor kit. Eventually she opened her eyes just a crack, and looked around. Everything was colorful, and confusing. It was all warm, too. And the white snows glared in the sun, burning her eyes. She squeaked, standing up rather shakily. Eyes closed tight from the bright white leafbare snows, she stumbled over to a shady patch behind the Nursery.

OOC: Oh I thought she was older XP Dittidu. And you should be scared of Destinykit. Very scared.
BIC: Destinykit's world was much different than her sister's. She saw things... somewhat normally. When she stared at a leaf, she would see it and then her mind would make up what it would become. She would stare at a simple pebble and then imagine a butterfly landing on her nose there. She would look at her sister, and suddenly her perception was gone. She saw only blankness and that scared, closed off face. Destinykit was confused. She usually saw so clearly, but Draemkit's aura blocked any hope of sight. So many cats were like that. Destinykit could have easily ended up like her sister - hating this distinction between nature and creatures. But the difficulty only made her curious. Destinykit wanted to see what she could not see with her fellow cats - what they would become.

Dreamkit swallowed hard. She had to face the world eventually. She blinked open her eyes again, slowly, and absorbed every detail. The vibrant red sun, cool green skies. The blue-green cats, parts of them greener or bluer. She saw the butterfly and it glowed green. The deep purple snow's glare burned, but she focussed on still. Purple and blue rocks, green prey and blue prey, and several pieces of purple prey. But mostly the world was purple, blue or green. Only two or three things, including the sun, were red or yellow. She sighed.

The butterfly fluttered off, leaving Destinykit staring after it. She could see its life, ranging from the moment to the time when it would die. It made her sad. She turned and saw Dreamkit staring at the world. That familiar blankness arose, and Destinykit was somehow glad of that. If she could see what her sister would become, what would happen to her, she was sure it would make her sad. Destinykit didn't want to be sad, She didn't want Dreamkit to be sad, either. She padded closer to her sister and then sat down, looking up in the sky and watching the clouds. They were much more complicated than leaves and butterflies to track, though. They were so wispy and free; they never stayed together long and when they broke up they became something else entirely. Somehow this lifecycle interested Destinykit. There was something... familiar about it. Strangely familiar...

Dreamkit blinked at the glaring yellow clouds. They too reflected the sun and its vibrant warmth. She didn't like warmth. It was too warm. Her world was too warm. Destinykit made her feel better though, and she cast her gaze at her sister. She too was a vibrant color, but not her eyes... Dreamkit smiled. They were not harsh or vibrant, not painfully colorful. They were soft, real, true in color. It comforted Dreamkit. Soothing.

Destinykit smiled as Dreamkit looked at her. Something told the young kit that her sister sought some form of comcort in her. Whatever it was, Destinykit wanted it to continue. She wanted to comfort her sister. Destinykit padded towards a small area where there was a dip in the earth. She turned and closed her eyes, and then began digging. She dug for a little while, unaware that Chiveskit and Longkit were staring at her with wide eyes. She finally reopened her eyes, and there was a shining black rock there, beneath the dirt. She unearthed it and picked it up in her jaws. She carried it over to Dreamkit and sat it down before her, stepping a few paces back and smiling.
"Gift. Like? Mm?" She asked, grinning widely.

Dreamkit smiled at the purple rock, dark and cold. It was cold. Probably the darkest thing around, and it made Dreamkit feel much better. She nodded though she did not understand a word her sister spoke. Then she looked up at her sister and smiled. "Giff." She said with a purr.
