The sunlight warmed the smooth rocks, making them either hard or pleasureable to walk on, depending on the slanting leaves of the trees that surrounded the Snakerocks. Sorretail wandered absentmindedly along the higher ones, always keeping a lookout for the ever-present adder. She recalled only a few bites in her lifetime, most of which had been when she was a kit and could hardly remember what had happened. Usually it wasn't a pretty ending, so most ThunderClanners either stayed clear of Snakerocks or were very careful, as Sorretail was now. The day was nice, and the prey running well. But the warrior was distracted by heavy thoughts which seemed to channel themselves in and around her, making her think so deeply she wondered if perhaps she might blow something and just keel over without even meeting a snake. The thought unnerved her, but she managed to lay on one of the rocks, out of reach of most snakes, and just sat there, thinking.

Brackenfur was on a delightful trip around the forest for a nice walk. He rarely got out always catch for something or other and finally a moment free to find himself. He passed Snakerocks with a careful watch on the rocks. Something caught his eye which froze him to the ground. A paw hung over a rock.
He jumped onto the rock and walk toward the body to see the cat was Sorreltail. "Hello" he greeted her. "Why are you up here?" he asked giving a careful eye to each rock.

OOC: *glares at Bclaw* I don't really care. It was a typo.
BIC: Sorreltail had scented Brackenfur, but a part of her sort of wished he'd just ignore her and pass on by. She yawned widely and flicked her tail at his prying.
"I'm just taking a breather, ok?" She mewed, blinking at him and then stretching out on the rock.
"After all, it's a nice day." She purred.

He nodded as the day as the cerulean sky was cloudless. Clueless of what the she-cat wanted Brackenfur sat next on the rock. His eyes didn't take off Sorreltail, he watch carefully incase any snakes came.
"Aren't you afraid for adders?" he ask

Sorreltail smiled crookedly.
"Well sure, but there aren't any at the moment, are there? Besides, I figure if you go through life thinking about what could happen you'll never enjoy a minute of it." She meowed decisively, nodding and flicking her tail as if to emphasize her point.

"But a life could end shortly not living what he or she should" he meowed. His eyes glowed golden at the sun reflectied off them. His stomache gave a loud growl as he hadn't eatten today. "I should be hunting" he laughed quietly.

Yeah, I guess so. Still. I'd rather die with some potential than be old and useless to my Clan. I feel bad for the elders, cooped up all day. That's no way to live." She meowed, sighing.

Brackenfur smiled also staring off at a shadow on a rock.
"I always thought the same way with queens and kits. The first couple of moons you just locked up in the nusery waiting for the day for vistors and then one day your allowed to leave", he meowed, "only plus side is to see the kits grow to be strong warriors"

Sorreltail nodded thoughtfully.
"Yes. I suppose so. But it's nicer to be a Queen. I think. At least you're doing your Clan some service in raising the kits." She mewed.

Brackenfur looked back to Sorreltail
"I would stay by my future mate as much as I can to make sure she didn't grow bored. To tell her that she is lovely and a great mother." He meowed. He daydreamed of a unknown cat, she laid with kits, his kits. The she-cat turn to show the face of sorreltail but he knew that it couldn't be right. He blinked out his closed eyes to see Sorreltail in the same position as in his daydream.

Sorreltail wondered at his strange expression but just smiled and purred softly.
"You'd make a great father, and an even greater mate then. I'll envy that she-cat when the time comes." She mewed, smiling.

He couldn't help give a big eye to the comment.
"I guess you can envy her but with your looks you could get any single cat in Thunderclan" he meowed, then he mumbled under his breather, "your perfect mate"

"Aw, thanks, that's sweet. You're a real nice guy, Brackenfur." She purred, feeling quite flattered by his compliment.

[[whoa i was sleepy when i wrote that last thing. haha i meant smile not eye XD]
Lowering his head to hide from her stare he could tell he had some feelings for her. "And you are a very nice girl" he purred roughly.
All of a sudden he felt a kind of numbing fear fill his body, something was near. He gave a quick look around to find a small adder find it way by his tail. He gave a quick smash of the adder head with his large paw which the skull easily cracked by the weight.
"I hate snakes" he said whole heartedly.

Sorreltail started at the presence of the adder. She stood, flicking her tail, and yawned.
"Yeah, same. We'd better go. After all, Sunningrocks has just as nice stones and less snakes." She purred playfully, smiling at him.

He nodded, getting up in a wide streatch. He pushed the dead snake over the side of a rock with his tail.
"I heard snakes are something Shadowclan eat, also frogs", he meowed roughly stepping closer to Sorreltail

She sniffed in distaste.
"Yeah. Remind me never to go to ShadowClan for any length of time. Imaging, eating a snake." She meowed, curling her nose at the horrible thought.

He laughed sniffly then started to head off the rock.
"Well if you go to Shadowclan I will have to come", he meowed, "I would catch you something better then maggot filled rats and snakes"
