Weepingkit was immediately after Chasinglight. She remembered her father telling her things he knew of RiverClan and the others. She followed Chasinglight to a den that smelled of younger cats. Ghostpaw's scent. The Apprentice's den. Weepingkit thought, stopping beside Chasinglight.

"You'll be here soon enough. Ghostpaw, along with Lichenpaw and the other kits 6 moons and older sleep here." Weepingkit probably knew that. But oh well. She moved on, to the warrior den. "You'll make a great warrior someday, I'm sure of it. when you become an apprentice, I'll go back here."

Weepingkit said nothing. She stared up at the den and blinked. If that is my destiny. And though I am not sure I am sorry to think that it is not. She stared into the tangles of the den's wall and then sighed. She turned to Chasinglight, giving her a slight nod.

She went on to the elders den. "you'll have to change the moss in here when your an apprentice. don't bother silentdawn too much. she gets kind of grouchy." She didn't know much about the cats here in her home so far, but she had heard of Silentdawn, the only elder, and knew she was a grouch. she moved to the leaders den. "You've been in here, as have I. Stormstar sleeps in here." she moved to the last stop. "The Medicine den is an important place. Flameheart trains her apprentice, Runningpaw, very hard to know the ways of healing herbs and StarClan." She sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws. "Interesting, huh?"

Weepingkit hesitated at the Medicine cat's den. Her father had mentioned them, and how they had... She turned and bounced after Chasinglight, forgetting herself for a moment. She imagined she was a carefree kit again. But then, she had never really been carefree... Weepingkit looked at Chasinglight and then frowned. Ghostpaw didn't want to visit her because she was being cared for by this Queen. She sighed. Why did everyone have to be so dense?

Chasinglight sensed Weepingkit's miss. "Go visit Ghostpaw. I'll be back in the nursery."

Weepingkit frowned. She watched Chasinglight and then turned to look at the Apprentice's den. She padded over to it and stared into the darkness. Was her friend even here?
"Ghostpaw?" She asked tentatively.

Runningpaw bounded into camp with a mouthful of cobweb which he was proud to have found nearly frozen. He saw Weepingkit out of the Nursery and frowned slightly. Kits didn't need to go traipsing around camp now, did they? He made a quick stop in his den and then headed back to Weepingkit. He never noticed Chasinglight, or how Weepingkit left her. He was only focussed on the kit. "Weepingkit? Sweety, what are you doing?" He asked, padding up to her.
[[Haha, surprise him please.]]

Weepingkit turned slightly to look at the tom, her pale blue, sad looking eyes surveying him. Runningpaw. That was his name.
"I am waiting for Ghostpaw to come out. Do you know if she is in the camp, Runningpaw? If not I can wait." She meowed, her voice almost as mature as the tom's and her eyes holding in them a strange intelligence.

Runningpaw blinked. "A-gah-bah-ahh-uhh..." He muttered stupidly, dumbfounded. How had Weepingkit changed overnight? He shuddered at thinking her any less mature than he. She was probably already apprentice age! "She just went hunting... You want to talk with Stormstar about an apprentice ceremony? Guarantee you're proper age by way of speaking..." Runningpaw still could not get over the cat's sudden change, and was suddenly unsure about her. What was going on?

Weepingkit stared at him for a few moments.
"I don't know anything about apprentice ages but I can assure you I'm older than I look. I inherited my small size from my mother." She curled her lip as she spoke. She turned and looked at the entrance to camp. She took a step towards it and then paused. I don't want to go out there... not alone, anyway. She thought, staring hard at the entrance.

Runningpaw followed Weepingkit's gaze. "Well, if you want me to go with you..." He said, shrugging his shoulders. Maybe she didn't care. If she didn't need him he wouldn't go. He turned to see Smokeypaw smiling at her from a distance, and raised a quizzical eyebrow at his friend jokingly. The tom quickly looked away, and Runningpaw looked back at Weepingkit.

Weepingkit closed her eyes for a moment. She thought of that face filled with hatred, the cats that fought so hard to protect her only to fall beneath those claws...
"No," she meowed gently. "I can wait." She knew she would never leave the camp except without anyone else with her. Weepingkit would not put her friends in danger.

[[Too bad when she gets a mentor she has to... xD ]]
Runningpaw nodded. "Okay." He said, turning and walking away dumbfounded.
Ghostpaw smiled as she raced happily through the snow, suddenly bursting into camp at lightning speed. She bolted past everyone and screeched to a halt, landing in a pile of fur. She stood up, laughing with pleasure.

Weepingkit turned slightly and stared at Ghostpaw a moment. She had fallen in a heap of fur and dust and the kit wondered why she had acted so. But then Weepingkit somewhat knew what it was to have fun. Apparently Ghostpaw was enjoying herself. The small she-cat hesitated. Would Ghostpaw be angry if she interutped now? She turned to eye the nursery. Could... could it be better for me to not speak with her, after all? Weepingkit thought, watching Ghostpaw with those always so sad looking eyes.

Ghostpaw got up, shaking her fur. She turned to see Weepingkit, alone and out of the Nursery. She walked over to the kit and smiled. "Hey." She said with a purr.

Weepingkit looked up at Ghostpaw blankly. She remembered Runningpaw's reaction to her sudden change. She stared down at her paws. I was much younger when I forgot everything. All my memories were so... Weepingkit looked back up and Ghostpaw and smiled slightly, but that did nothing to take the sorrow from her face.
"Hello. Did your hunt go well?" She inquired, trying to reduce the intelligent sound of her normal voice.

Ghostpaw smiled, purring. "I knew you were smarter than you looked." She said, sitting down and smiling. "It went great. Didn't catch anything, but learned some new techniques." She said with a purr. Ghostpaw loved thinking about how well she was doing, and it was great to think that she was doing so well. Even if she didn't like her mentor as well as she would've liked.

Weepingkit smiled.
"That's great. I am glad you are progressing well." She mewed, feeling somewhat awkward. The Weepingkit within her loved Ghostpaw like a sister, but the other half - the unnamed spirit that was the real cat that stood before Ghostpaw - was unsure of who she could trust. Anyone could turn against her at any time.

Ghostpaw smiled, not at all sensing her friend's unease. "I can't wait until you can train with me." She said happily, flicking her tail and smiling. Ghostpaw wondered how old Weepingkit really was. She hoped they were the same age, because otherwise it made Ghostpaw feel small.
