Ashfire's pelt tingled as she padded closer and closer to the scent of this new Clan. It was a strange, wild scent; a mix of Clan and rouge. The smell of river mingled here and there with the scent of the moors and the wind, and there were also tinges of the forest and the marshlands. TrueClan's scent could only be described as a mix-match of other scents. Perhaps it would gain its own once everything settled down. Still, Ashfire was relieved that her own smell wouldn't interfere with their plans. She had no desire to be caught by a TrueClan Warrior, despite what they said about living for truth and justice. Saviorpaw padded along beside her, and she rested the tip of her tail on his shoulder, guiding him so that he wouldn't have to concentrate on where he put his own paws. Ashfire flared her nostrils and parted his jaws, taking in the scents around her. She wrinkled her nose and stopped, crouching in the long, swaying grass that surrounded the TrueClan camp.
"Can you scent them?" She asked the cats around her, though the question was mainly directed at Saviorpaw. Being blind, the tortoiseshell apprentice was bound to have a better sense of smell. Besides, he knew Mistpaw and Canyonpaw better than the rest of them, as well as the territory. Saviorpaw's ears shuffled forward on his skull and his lower jaw slacked as he tasted the air. His eyes narrowed in concentration, and his whiskers twitched as the wind stirred them. Ashfire began to get nervous just waiting, watching... She could barely see into the camp at all, and the thought of a TrueClan patrol showing up made her jumpy. The last thing she wanted was to be caught by these cats. She had no idea what Code they lived by. After all, their leader had been a SilenceClanner. What would he know of the warrior code?

Mountainfur's ears perked up as he caught the one and only scent her could recognize. Though his sense of smell was not very strong, her could tell his sister's scent anywhere. And it smelled close. "Ebonytail!" The next thing Mountainfur knew, something had surged from the undergrowth, and it was aimed right for Saviorpaw.

Saviorpaw had been intently listening but suddenly a sound behind him alerted him of another cat's presence. The cat had been downwind, so he hadn't caught its scent. He whirled around just as the cat came upon him, and he was swept off his paws by the cat. He lost his footing and with a horrified yowl he felt his body fly into darkness. Suddenly he landed on his back with a thud and a grotesque crack. Saviorpaw groaned. My shoulder!
Ashfire looked down, horrified, at her brother.
"Saviorpaw!" She cried, leaping down the rocks to get to her brother's side, not even thinking of the consequences of her action.

It was all Mountainfur could do to watch in horror as his sister attacked his newfound friend.
-
Ebonytail gasped in shock as she felt the crack of Saviorpaw's shoulder. "Saviorpaw! Oh, I'm so sorry! I had no idea it was-" She cast a glance up to see Ashfire pelt toward her. "Wait! It's-It's me! Ebonytail! I'm so sorry, guys." She quickly got up from Saviorpaw, examining his shoulder tensely. "I think I know just the cat to look at this. She's an expert, and from RiverClan too! She wants to join, but cannot leave her Clan quite yet. So she is instead visiting daily to adjust to life here. Her Clan thinks she's out collecting an herb stock! Come meet her - her name is Foxtail." EBonytail flicked her tail in the camp's direction, then reconsidered. "Should I just go get her, then?"

Hollyleaf padded beside Mountainfur. "Ebonytail, why did you attack him for?" She asked trying to hide her belly the best she could.

Saviorpaw winced as he tried to get to his paws. Luckily he had fallen into a smaller alcove of the camp where none of the TrueClan warriors had seen him. He didn't want to have to explain all of this to Dragonstar. The Warrior Code said that Warriors must respect and obey their leaders, but... well, this was an emergency! Saviorpaw managed to get to his paws. He kept his weight off his shoulder and considered Ebonytail's words.
"Don't worry about it, Ebonytail. I think it would be best if Foxtail took a look at it." No need to involve Littlecloud... yet. He could sense Ashfire's anger and worry, but he ignored it.

"Isn't that what I just said?" Ebonytail sighed with confusion. Then, frowning, she turned to Hollyleaf. "I didn't know who it was. It could be that she-cat again. Smells of carrion and keeps showing up here. Lost two cats' lives just this past moon from her escapades. We suspect SilenceClan. I mean, I haven't been here more than a sunrise but..." Ebonytail's soft voice trailed away as she remembered with a tinge of excitement when she had been told she could stay. And now she felt like a part of them all. As a matter of fact, she had already been accepted and was staying. "Mountainfur, we need to talk. I think I'm going to stay in TrueClan, so just so everyone knows, I won't go with you. You chose your Clan, Mountainfur, I want to choose mine."Mountainfur tilted his head in confusion. Ebonytail was certainly... Lighthearted. Or maybe she was just getting more Air-headed. Ebonytail ignored his stare of interest and confusion.
Turning, she hurried away from the group. But then reconsidering, she raced back and whispered, "Cats right over there, I'll go get Foxtail for you." She turned and once again hurried off to find the cat.

Ashfire watched Ebonytail with a calm expression. Something about her friend definately had changed. When she mentioned staying in TrueClan, Ashfire felt as if claws had raked through her heart. First her brother, now Ebonytail... She struggled not to wail out loud like a kit. All she wanted was her friends to be with her in ThunderClan, but it didn't appear as if StarClan were going to let it go that way. Their destinies were tearing them apart, it would seem. Ashfire's shoulders slumped dejectedly.
"Don't worry, Ashfire," Saviorpaw's voice was calm and reassuring, "I'll look after her. And you still have Nightpaw..." She could sense a little uncertainty in his voice, though, and she understood the question on his mind. What would Nightpaw choose, now that he remembered?

"Ashfire..w-would you want to come with me to Windclan? I feel like I'm leaving you." Hollyleaf meowed sadly looking down at her paws.

"Yeah, Ashfire!" Mountainfur added, stroking his mate gently with his tail-tip. "We'd love to have you. We could use a strong, fierce, loyal warrior in our Clan... besides me and Hollyleaf, that is." He added with a wink. Suddenly, Ebonytail reappeared with Foxtail.
"Let's have a look-see." She said, sniffing the injured tom's shoulder egntly.
[What should be wrong?]

OOC: He just dislocated it. Nothing serious.
BIC: Ashfire watched as Saviorpaw sat himself down and let the medicine cat examine his wound. She thought about what Hollyleaf and Mountainfur had said. Yes, WindClan probably could use loyal warriors. But she wouldn't be that if she left her Clan. Ashfire knew that there was tension in the forest, but nothing short of losing her life would tear Ashfire from ThunderClan. She loved it in the forest, and she wouldn't trade her Clan for any other. She knew Hollyleaf would be sad, but it was Ashfire's decision... She sighed softly. She did feel better knowing that her Clan awaited her when she returned. She hoped Bluestar wouldn't be too upset. Especially when she returned with only Nightpaw.
Suddenly a cat appeared at the brink of the drop-off Saviorpaw had been pushed down. His amber eyes studied them for a moment, and then he dissapeared in a whirl of black.
"It's Ok, the way's not too steep if you're careful." His strong, soothing voice spoke gently.
"I'm still a little swore." A weak, timid voice mewed in response. Suddenly Nightpaw appeared with Mistpaw leaning against his shoulder. Her whiskers drooped and she had scratches all over her. She was limping, and looked asleep on her paws.
"What in StarClan's name happened!?" Ashfire exclaimed, horrified. Saviorpaw's head whipped around at the scent of blood.
"I found her with Wildeyes up by the Pool." Nightpaw meowed, helping Mistpaw pad over to them. The she-cat collasped and let out a shaky breath. She closed her eyes. Suddenly a white cat bounded gracefully down into the clearing. She stared at the other cats and dipped her head respectfully. She looked so different with her bright eyes that, even though still strange, held no insanity in them.
"Greetings, friends. I hope I did well to care for your injured friend." She said in a soft voice, her eyes shifting back to Mistpaw with a worried expression.
"No, you were very right to. Thank you." Ashfire could tell by Nigthpaw's voice that he had said this more than once.
"Well that's good." Wildeyes purred. Mistpaw grunted. Ashfire wondered how she had gotten into this state?

[[Time for Holly's kits? Because Mountainfur'll wanna get going once they find out Canyonpaw has run off.]]
Mountainfur smiled. Only two cats to go, and then he could head home. Home with a new mate, a soon-to-be litter, and a new state of mind. He had saved the day, and his friends' lives, and that made him feel good.
-
Ebonytail, however, was not so happy. She would miss her brother, and her friends, as they would probably all want to go home. But she and Foxtail had found their rightful places, and she was mostly contempt.
-
Foxtail sighed, shaking her head. "Just dislocated. Bit of a pain getting it back in, though." Foxtail turned, pelted off, and then returned once more with a stick. "Bite hard." She told Saviorpaw, passing him the stick. Then, after he had taken it, she spoke. "I'll count down from three, okay?" Placing her paws in a unique position, she readied to count. "Three, two." Snap. Before ever even reaching one, she had popped Saviorpaw's shoulder back into place. "Now, be careful on it. After dislocating it once, it will come out easier. Take today easy, not a lot of long-distance travel or tough terrain. You'll be okay after that, but it might hurt a little for a while. Let me know if you need anything to dull the pain." She smiled, turning three circles and then sitting down - an odd habit she had recently picked up from another TrueClan warrior whom had recently passed away in an attack from the speckled she-cat that kept appearing.

Saviorpaw clamped his teeth down on the branch. He could feel the pain, though, when she jerked his shoulder back into place. He winced, but managed not to whimper like a kit. He sighed and closed his eyes.
"Thank you, Foxtail. I will keep that in mind." He meowed. He turned to listen to Mistpaw's unsteady breathing.
"Are you Ok?" He asked.
"C-Canyonaw... where is he?" Saviorpaw was surprised by the depth of pain he could sense in her voice, her staggered breathing, and her stiffened muscles. He blinked. What had happened to make her like this? He could tell she was injured. He didn't need to see to know that.

Hollyleaf gasped as she felt a hard kick. "Mountainfur, its time!" She hissed in pain. She laid down on her side breathing very hard.

Foxtail jumped up in shock as the silver she-cat cried out that it was time. For what? But she didn't have to think twice. Her belly rippled and the pain was clearly one of kitting. "They will kill me if they catch me, but I have to help you, dear. I will be right back. Don't have them without me!" She smiled, hurrying off. She quickly dashed back with several bundles of herbs in her mouth. "If you get faint at the sight of blood or gore, you may want to leave the clearing. Dearest, try and follow me into the nursery. You can't kit in here." She shouldered Hollyleaf, helping her to the nursery. "Now, take these herbs. Skullcap seeds for strength. Raspberry leaves for an easier birth, and Crushed Iris Petals for breathing control. I'll give you Poppy Seeds afterward. Now breath easy, and push when you feel ready. No one could help you more. Oh, but don't lay on your side if you can help it. It's a lot safer and easier, from what I've heard." Foxtail pushed the cats back, giving the she-cat room. She watched with steady eyes, quickly following every contraction. She was not about to lose a queen to kitting, and she was not about to lose a kit either. Everything seemed okay. Foxtail glanced over to what she could guess was the father. He had a proud, excited gleam in his eye, and was not about to miss any of it. Such a lucky tom, and Foxtail might soon be a lucky she-cat. When she did officially leave RiverClan, she could be apart from StarClan and have kits of her own. If she could find the right tomcat for her. Sighing, Foxtail watched closely as the she-cat gave birth, a hint of green envy seeping into her steady eyes.

Hollyleaf nodded eating the herbs, still breathing hard. She made her first very hard push and a brown tom with grey through his fur came out. She sighed taking a small break. "A tom..Taintedkit," She meowed then more pain came and she pushed again. A pale gray she-cat came out next. "A she-cat, Featherkit." Just when she though that was the last one, she pushed again and a very small silver tom with patches of white, but something was not right with him. "Mountainfur, I think he's dead..." She meowed with fear of losing her small kit. "My poor..Boulderkit." She meowed.
(He's not really dead, its something me and Bramble came up with)

Saviorpaw's ears flattened against his skull. Of course she'd have to have her kits right now. He followed them to the nursery, ignoring the startled hisses from some of the cats in the clearing. He sat a little ways from them, listening. He had witnessed this sort of thing before, as a kit in the nursery, and he knew how to tell if it was going well or not. When the third kit came he sat there silently, listening for its breathing. He blinked. He had sensed this sort of feeling before. What was it? He closed his eyes. Some kit... in ThunderClan...

Mountainfur sighed. The first kit, named how he had wanted it. Typical and selfish. He thought in disgust. Then a second, a she-cat, named after Hollyleaf's pick. Maybe it wasn't so bad. And then the third kit. This one was different somehow. He could tell. The first kit was a small bundle of brown-and-grey, like Mountainfur's mother. The second was a beautiful pale grey, like the two parents, only lighter. But the third resembled himself so much... The grey fur, marbled white. It seemed to be tinged with the darker grey as well. Identical to his father. Would he have the same vibrant green eyes? But the fact that he did not breath was gruesome and horrible. Foxtail passed Hollyleaf some seeds while Mountainfur pondered this. He heard the she-cat speak softly. "Eat these. Would anyone like to-" "I'll take him." Mountainfur already knew the question. He grasped his tomkit, the stillborn, tightly yet softly between his jowls. Foxtail gave one last sniff, cautious and wary of a life's presence. None could be found, Mountainfur realized, so he hurried to take the kit out back.
Foxtail said something, but Mountainfur did not hear. He snuck out a back way, avoiding the many confused stares that would have awaited him. He set down the kit, starting to dig. He dug hard, but almost instantly he smelled a horrible scent. Dog. The stupid thing had followed him right from it's previous battle. He was alone this time. Mountainfur hadn't realized how far out he had gone, so dropping his kit he turned and fled. Of course, the dog chased so far as the dead cat, and then gave it a curious sniff. It didn't expect Sycamorepaw.
Sycamorepaw flung himself at the dog, though Mountainfur had already reached camp. He had reached camp before Sycamorepaw had seen the dog and kit, so neither knew of the other's presence. Sycamorepaw scratched at the dog fiercely, not sure if the kit was dead or alive. The dog yelped in pain as it's eyes were met by a fury of claw and teeth. It turned and ran, for a second time, from a cat attack. This time it would not return. Sycamorepaw waited until the dog had vanished before examining the kit. He gave it a little nudge, and with a cough the kit began to breath. He smiled, grasping the kit and hurrying back to his camp. Of course, he avoided the occupied and over-crowded nursery and hurried to the elder's den. He could ask Hollyleaf to watch the kit, but for now she needed peace and rest.
-
"Now it's okay. Mountainfur will take and bury... Boulderkit. The other two check healthy with me. Get some rest, for in a short while I'll accompany you back to your original Clan. TrueClan won't be pleased with you being here. So I will help you home, where your kits can be safe in a real Clan. Tell me when you're ready." Mountainfur returned, panting, just as soon as Foxtail had left.

Hollyleaf nodded to Foxtail silently eating the herbs, she was given. Losing a kit had really hurt her. She sighed then looked up to see Mountainfur padded into the clearing panting. "What happen? Where did you bury, Boulderkit?" She asked with a worried mother voice.

Saviorpaw listened to the exchanges with a solemn face. He left soon after Mountainfur and, seeing Sycamorepaw darting into the Elders den after a while, limped to see what was going on.
"Sycamorepaw?" Saviorpaw asked curiously, sticking his head around the entrance.
"What's going on?"
