Firestar bounded up onto the Highrock and smiled out at his Clan. They were all bustling about eagerly. There were apprentices needing names and kits needing to be apprenticed. Firestar had only realized the previous night that he had still forgotten to give Sandstorm's kits a proper ceremony. It was also about time for his own litter to be apprenticed. He sighed and began to wonder how many cats he had forgotten now. So as he leaped up onto the Highrock he tried to recall everyone needing something done.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!" He called out in a silvery voice. Then he watched the Clan assemble themselves, and he looked out eagerly as he watched old apprentices and kits eagerly follow and wait for their new names. Today would be a good day indeed, and he could feel it in his bones.
[[We have Squirrelkit and Firekit needing mentors along with Tigerkit, Sparrowkit, Silverkit, Rainkit, and am I missing anyone? Then we have Bramblepaw, Tawnypaw, Charcoalpaw, Ashpaw, and Fernpaw to be made warriors. Anyone else? Oh, and who has available mentoring spots?]]

OOC: Uuh Moonpaw needs to be made a warrior... and besides Ashy I never remember any other ThunderClanners I have -.^ Rainwhisker and Sorreltail... and I think that's it *shrugs*
BIC: Ashfire padded out of the nursery, followed closely by Tigerkit. The excited little tom looked about with huge eyes, his chest puffed out and his usually untidy fur groomed to the point of absurdity. His mother beamed as she watched her kits file out of the nursery. She was so proud of them all. Tigerkit leaped forward, his tail bristling as he pounced on one of the warrior's paw accidently, his timing messed up a little. But Rainwhisker didn't mind. He just smiled down at the excited kit.
"Ready to become an apprentice, are we?" he purred.
"Oh yes!" Tigerkit exclaimed happily. He usually was somewhat quiet and subdued, but now was the time to get the jitters out, and he had many of those to dispose of at the moment.

[Pandapelt is available to be a mentor. Charcoalpaw's warrior name is Charcoalfur.]
Charcoalpaw stepped out of the apprentices den and searched for Tawnypaw. The only way he knew about the ceremony was by the kits frahtic paws as they beat the ground in a hurry. She sighed. He hated his deafness! But He'd have to live with it the rest of his life. He blinked and breathed in deeply for his apprentice-mate. They'd be warriors now! Maybe they could have kits...

Silverrose reluctantly opened her half-closed eyes to see what had been the commotion. From her serene spot in the Warriors' Den, she noticed all her clanmates were gathering around the clearing, while Firestar stood in a large boulder as it was costumed during clan meetings. Silverrose groaned as silently as she could and gingerly stood up. She had been hunting all night and wanted nothing else but a good nap. She headed toward the rest of the ThunderClanners, her senses languidly waking up. She supposed the mentors of some apprentices were being assigned and that some were becoming warriors. Silverrose wondered if she was going to be chosen to mentor anyone.
[[Do any apprentices still need mentors?]]

((Shadowblaze can mentor))
A muscular black tom padded out of the warriors den. Amber eyes looked up to Firestar. He took his place at the base of highrock. Shadowblaze knew there were many ceremonies to do today.

[[We need no more mentors since I have some cats as well. And since I may not get on soon again I'll hurry this part along. If you want Moonpaw's name to be changed, Des, you never stated one so I made it up...]]
"May I have all cats old enough to be made Warriors approach, please?" Firestar called. He watched as Goldenflower's children and Brindleface's children, along with Moonpaw and Charcoalpaw, stepped forward. He smiled at the about-to-be warriors and nodded. "I, Firestar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" He watched the apprentices nod and agree and he felt his heart lighten with the joy of seeing cats taking on their Clan. "Then I present you as warriors. Cats, you will now be known as Moonsong, Brambleclaw, Tawnypelt, Ashfur, Ferncloud, and Charcoalstorm. Your Clan honors all your courage and strength in these dark times." He touched each one with his pink nose and finished the ceremony with a smile. "Next, may I have all the kits?" He said and his eyes twinkled with excitement.

OOC: Don't worry I changed it :3 Moonflower was close to what I originally wanted but it doesn't fit her much anymore -.- *sighs*
BIC: Moonsong looked up at Firestar with little emotion in her eyes. She should be feeling fulfilled, right? But her memories took her back to the day she was born... She almost died, choking on something - she couldn't remember what. But someone had saved her... and in her eyes at that moment her true history had revealed itself. She'd never understood it, not really. She had grown with that faint reminder, that little voice telling her to wait, to listen... and when Warrior showed up, the voice was strong enough to be mistaken for her own mind. When he died... it drove her mad with its anger and its sadness. She could control it most of the time but... it weighed heavily on her heart. Moonsong looked down at her paws and thought bitterly how good her name was. But my song's not a happy one at all. It's one I'd rather live without. She thought, hearing the voice again and only just managing to ignore it.

Charcoalstorm beemed when he got his name. It was a fitting name, for sure. He padded up to Tawnypelt and licked her ear. "You have an excellent name, too." He said quietly. Truth was, his voice had lost a lot of it's...deaf tone, after he fell in love with Tawnypelt. She was the Yin to his Yang. He shot a quick glance at Brambleclaw. Tawnypelt's brother hated him with a grudge, and it scared Charcoalstorm. What if one day...well, he couldn't hear brambleclaw sneak up on him, out in the forest, and...He shook his head to clear those thoughts and smiled warmly at Tawnypelt, despite his troubled mood.

[[If that happened Tawny'd kick his butt straight to Timbucktwo... xD Brambie's scared of his sister and with good reason.]]
Tawnypelt sighed with relief. Good. She had needed her name so that no judging eyes would befall her. She needed to talk to Charcoalstorm alone now, so she smiled and looked at him, making sure to meet his eyes with her own soft ones. "I need to tell you something... Privately..."

Charcoalstorm nodded, reading her lips, and pointed with his tail to the camp entrance. "Talk to me right outside of camp." He said, leading her to the thick opening. Once they were out, he spun around and looked at her with kind eyes. "What is it?" He asked in his soft, sweet voice.

(Silentjaw can mentor, I assume, though I don't know, he'd be like a military general as far as training goes.)
BIC: Silentjaw watched from within the staring Clan. He remembered what it felt like to become a warrior. It was one of the last times he ever felt truly happy, and fulfilled. It was one of the last times he smiled. It was one of the last times... Up next for their moment of happiness were the small kits, ready to be apprentices to mentors who would teach them the ways of the warrior. Silentjaw wondered who would be the aspiring young kits' mentors. Worthy cats, or simply any cat, depending on if the Clan was low on warriors? Silentjaw loved these meetings, because he was never really a part of them. He just watched the stories and small sub-plots unfold. He would watch the apprentices talk in the background after being named warriors, the audience look on and whisper, gossip and praise, and the fumblings of the cats about to go on top of the high rock, nervous and excited. He was never really a part of it. He was a shadow. A silent shadow.

Firestar smiled as the kits approached him and he nodded to each one in turn. "Squirrelkit and Firekit, you have waited a moon longer than normal. They will get their apprentice names now, along with my other kits Tigerkit, Sparrowkit, Silverkit, and Rainkit. You are all worthy to become apprentices, and your long-awaited names and mentors will be assigned as follows. But first, my daughter Leafpaw needs recognition as the new Medicine Cat Apprentice. Now, Squirrelpaw - your mentor will be Rainwhisker. Firepaw, your mentor will be..." Firestar paused and thought about his son's ruthless nature. He needed to be broken. "Silentjaw will be your mentor. Tigerkit, your mentor will be Shadowblaze. Sparrowkit, your mentor will be Pandapelt. Silverkit, you'll be mentored by Hauntedshadow. And Rainkit, your mentor will be Sorreltail. Also, we welcome our new apprentice Longan - who will now be known as Longpaw, and I will be his mentor. Clan dismissed." He said with a soft smile, leaping down to join the Clan. He hurried over to his mate and kits who were now apprentices.

Tigerpaw was bristling uncontrolably with pride. He looked up at his father with huge eyes, feeling his heart beat wildly against his chest. He smiled and purred softly as his mother brushed her muzzle against his.
"Congradulations." She murmured happily. Tigerpaw smiled up at her and watched Sorreltail bounce happily up to her new apprentice, Rainpaw, and Rainwhisker pad calmly up to Squirrelpaw. He nodded his head and touched her nose with his, turning slightly to look at Firestar. He wondered a little at how different his two mates were - he wasn't sure how either of the relationships really happened. But the important thing was that Squirrelpaw and her half-brothers and sisters were all strong and smart. They would make good ThunderClanners, no matter the relationship of their parents. Still, Rainwhisker did feel a little bad about it.

Silentjaw looked onward as Firestar hopped down from the rock. He was stunned. Him, a mentor? He walked towards Firepaw, hoping that the small cat could understand his... language. This could turn out two ways.
Good.
Or bad. Silentjaw hoped it was the former.

Firepaw continued to glare and bore a hole into his father even as he was given a name. He wished anyone, anyone but Firestar could be giving the ceremony. That liar, that two-faced dog, that stupid bile. His father had left his mother and ended up with another stupid she-cat who could care less about him. Obviously. Sandstorm had always loved Firestar and Firepaw felt horrified to think that his father no longer loved him. He turned to his new mentor and sighed. "Hello, Silentjaw." He said and his voice was dark and cold.

Silentjaw stared at the small cat. Hello. This was achieved simply through a nod of the head, a note of recognition. This apprentices voice told Silentjaw that the training would be a rough process, but he still believed it could work. Silentjaw wasn't totally sure how to train, and after Moonpaw's... incident, he wasn't very sure if he wanted to, but then again, Firestar's word was Firestar's word, so Silentjaw had no choice. Guerilla tactics sounded like a good choice to begin, so Silentjaw immediately struck out a large paw at Firepaw to see the apprentice's reaction skills.

Firepaw jumped back, both surprised and startled by his mentor's odd lack of both introduction and formalities. Firepaw turned and hissed at Silentjaw, cursing at the tom under his breath for such a rude start.

Silentjaw nodded at the apprentice. Good. It wasn't perfect, as the attack could have easily been turned against Silentjaw if Firepaw were simply to add a swipe or his teeth. Then again, Silentjaw was much bigger than Firepaw, so maybe Firepaw was smart in just avoiding the attack. Adding a hiss for intimidation was also a nice sign of a warrior. This might be easy.
Silentjaw looked at Firepaw, then flipped his head toward the trainging hollow, and started walking that way. His way of saying, let's train.

Silverrose was amused by the way in which Silentjaw took command of Firepaw and how hastily he had wanted to start training. She noticed the tom was speechlessly leading the apprentice out of the camp into the forest to begin their training as fast as they had been assigned. Silverrose was vaguely acquainted with Silentjaw, but perhaps acquainted wasn't the proper term. She hadn't actually talked to him but they had exchanged idle glances to acknowledge each other's presence as members of ThunderClan. She had heard from others Silentjaw never actually spoke, the reason being unknown. But then, if he had been assigned an apprentice, he was ought to speak to the apprentice to guide him and teach him and whatnot. Curiosity sparked in the young she-cat at the thought of hearing this mysterious warrior's voice. Silverrose revised her pelt before approaching them.
'Hi Silentjaw, and Firepaw' she saluted, respectfully dipping her head at each. 'Congratulations on being a mentor' she said to Silentjaw. She would've asked them if they were excited about it but it was a 'yes or no' question, which could've been answered by a nod or a shake of the head. She decided to ask something else. 'Where are you going to start training?' Perhaps that question would require vocal aid.

Silentjaw looked at Silverrose. She had asked him where he would start training, which he answered easily with a nod of the head to the training hollow. Perhpas she could join along. It might be easier with a voice to guide young Firepaw. While he was with her, Silentjaw decided to make... smalltalk. A nod of the head. Hello. How are you?
