Lionfrost sat not too far away, watching a bit jealously as Silentjaw talked to the cat he'd had his eye on for a long time. Silverrose was amazing, beautiful and talented and kind and all. He was a bit overprotective of her, even if he hadn't yet tried to talk to her. But he couldn't help boiling with a twinge of jealousy at another's ease in speaking with the beautiful she-cat. Firepaw sighed and shook his head. Crazy mentor. Great. His father was just trying to torment him further. "Let's go and get it over with then." He said, walking sulkily like usual toward the Training Hollow.

Silverrose frowned slightly, noticing Silentjaw hadn't really answered her question but instead seemed to be asking a question of his own. She glanced at Firepaw who seemed to be confused by the... unorthodox way in which Silentjaw had decided to train him. Silverrose smiled warmly at the apprentice before trying to interpret Silentjaw's signs. He seemed to be asking her how she was.
'I'm alright, a bit tired. Hunting here and there as always.' Silverrose replied, her tail moving in arbitrary directions. In the corner of her eye she saw Lionstorm was leaving to start training with his own apprentice and smiled at them in encouragement, despite the fact they didn't really know each other. 'So, erm... How are you?' Silverrose asked Silentjaw, turning her attention to him and hoping he would require words to express himself.

Silentjaw frowned a bit upon the question and glanced at Firepaw, who was walking away. He thought that that may have answered it. I have him. Silentjaw swung his head from Silverrose to the training hollow. Want to come? He then started to follow Firepaw to train. He'd try his best.

Silverrose groaned inside. None of her questions tempted Silentjaw to utter a single word. She wondered how many other cats had tried to make him speak and realized she probably wasn't the first. Her eyes wandered here and there, pursuing invisible ideas that might help her make the tom talk, but she could think of none. Then she noticed his head was tilting somewhere and noticed he seemed to be inviting her to train with Firepaw. Silverrose smiled and nodded eagerly. 'Yeah sure!' she said and stood up. 'Let's head on!' occ; are you guys planning to start a new training thread with silent and fire? and could silver tag along?
