Murphy lay under the holly bush. His eyes locked on the wall of his garden. A birds urgent screeched shook him with a jolt. Then he heard a rustling on the other side of his garden and a figure landed on the ridge of his wall. With a quick leap he pounced on top of the figure and dragged it into his garden to fight.
OOC: He is a kitty-pet so it was not that great of a leap. :-)

Birdie held a blue jay tight in her jaws, its alarm call silenced by a quick bite to the neck. But within an instant, a cat had launched itself poorly at her. She tumbled awkwardly with the kittypet, before pulling herself away from his grasp and over to the center of the yard. "Hey! I was just catching a bird!" She muttered through the blue feathers.

Murphy was taken aback at the sight of Birdie. "Oh I'm sorry. I thought you were an intruder," he meowed playfully. Then like a small kitten he pounced around and leaped on top of a leaf.
"Wanna play?" he asked.

"Sure!" She pondered for a moment. The way he plays is different from how I play. She frowned doubtfully. "How do you play?" She asked as she thought about leaping trees, catching birds, wrestling cats to the ground for their cream saucers. And suddenly, another idea had conked her in the head. But certainly no cat would want to do that - or could, for that matter.

Murphy pondered on the question for a few moments. No answer came to his mind and he questioned whether he should have asked.
"Well how about you come up with a game," he meowed. Still without an answer to her question.

Birdie scrunched her face. "Okay..." Her voice trailed. "But you tell me if you want to do something different." She plucked a single feather from the bird she had caught, which lay at her paws. Tossing up into the air, it caught a draft and fluttered several tail-lengths above their heads. Birdie, smooth and quick as grease lightning, surged forward. She ricocheted off a tree, bounding atop the fence. Wasting not a second, she flew from there, tearing through the air and hooking the feather on her claws. "I get very bored at home." She meowed, shyly looking away.
((I thought it would be funny if Murphy is so impressed, she teaches him how to do it, and he can show off to all the kittypets in town, not to mention his twolegs... xD Just a thought.))

((OK confused))
Murphy watched in awe. He could not believe that kitty-pet had just done that. "How much free time did it take you to learn that?" he asked.

((xD))
"It took me about a day. Fun, though. The entertainment values are high on windy days." She purred, glancing away. Birdie felt a little embarrassed and shy around any eager cats. She wasn't one for showing off.

"Okay..." Birdie meowed, uncertain. "How fast are you?" She meowed, knowing that first you had to be quick. Agile, strong, speedy, and direct. Much to her excitement, she worried that this kittypet might not have the skill to do such.
