Preparing for a Hunt

Pinecloud woke with a start. She had just been dreaming of being chased by a monster. Glad that is over she thought to herself. Then her stomach let out a growl of hunger so she left the the warmth of her den to get some fresh-kill.

In the clearing, cats were just beginning to wake up. The hustle and bustle of the clan soothed Pinecloud. While trying not to let the clans ways distract her she made her way to the fresh-kill pile just to find it was almost empty.

Well with the clan needing to be feed she walked over to the apprentices den and peered through the opening.

"Would anyone like to go hunting?" she asked wishing she had an apprentice of her own.

"I'll go" A startlingly beautiful voice sounded behind Pinecloud, and an equally beautiful she-cat followed behind it as Stardust stepped forward. She glanced upon the she-cat with a shy kindness, holding her with her bright turquoise eyes.

Pinecloud jumped from fright. She had not been expecting to hear an answer from behind her.

"Okay, where should we go?" she asked Stardust.
