She sat high in a Pine Tree, thinking. Thinking about everything. The fact that he was dead, a SilenceClan killer taking his life. Only to prove a point. And now she faced a painful choice. A strange tree-cutting monster passed her and she sighed. It was a dangerous place to be at this time, but she didn't mind.
She'd taken enough Red Pepper to last several cats, and enough of the other herbs that she no longer felt anything anymore. She climbed a little higher, reaching an abandoned owl's nest. It had been used by squirrels recently, but she had hunted them away. Now she lay there, happy to have such a beautiful nest built. She lay down, gazing sadly out at the forest beyond. He should've been there with her, but he wasn't. SilenceClanners.
She didn't remember much after that. She must've passed out from the herbs she had taken, so many. Some for depression, others for pain. She found herself in a dream, and he was there before her. He stood, his golden fur dark and mysteriously shadowed. He seemed dark and startling, but she didn't mind. She'd seen him several times before like this. He only sat and watched her. It was all very strange, too strange.
She sighed as she finally found herself waking up. The ground beneath her started to shake. Or wood. She was still in a tree, right? Or had she fallen? She heard a scream of fear and pain, was it her? She couldn't tell. She looked up dully, to see a strange machine pulling a tree away. The tree she had been in. Another scream rang in her ears, and tried to ignore it. Her head spun from herb overdose and she could scarcely breath anymore.
Then she caught a glance. A kit lay motionless a few tail-lengths before her. She pulled herself along the ground as far as she could, pulling the kit close. A golden tomkit like his father. She decided to name him Thornkit. She licked his dead body with much sadness. Suddenly, she saw another cat. This one was a golden-red, like a mix of both parents. Dawnkit. She pulled herself along over toe Dawnkit, her daughter, but it was too late. A twoleg monster went roaring by, crushing the little kit. Her kits were dead.
Another wail, was it her own? She figured it was. Tomkit crushed by the fall from the tree as it had tipped and knocked them all out, she-kit crushed by a twoleg monster. She stood shakily, still drowsy from a drug overdose. She hissed low and painfully, her head splitting with massive ache, as a twoleg approached. It shouted something strange, turning to find the she-cat. But she was gone...
Foxleaf walked along the paths of Treecut Place with a bundle of Mint in her mouth. The leaves numbing effect were to be tested for numbing wounds. Maybe she could prove a useful Medicine Cat after all. After all... She shook the thought sadly from her head to hear a squeal. Looking up from her moping daydreams she saw a little grey kit before her. The kit mewled pitifully, and a roaring tree-eating monster was approaching fast. Forgetting all and dropping the mint, Foxleaf swept the kit up in her jaws. The thing was tiny and newborn, and Foxleaf suddenly felt a burst of pride at not only the rescue, but the kit too.
Foxleaf found her paws racing home before a twoleg could spot her. Her paws knew the familiar route, but she had to duck and weave to avoid oncoming tree-eating monsters and their twoleg riders. It was a busy day to be cutting trees for the monsters to eat, and she wondered why it was so. Soon she found her way home, however, and burst into camp. The kit, though small, was bigger than fourteen-moon-old Foxleaf. The Medicine Cat had been born naturally small, however, and it was no surprise at her size compared to the kit. Placing the kit on the ground, she realized she was standing at her den entrance. "Spottedleaf!"

The tortoiseshell she-cat slowly came from her den. She had been sent another dream, and a shadow of pain and loss covered her heart and shrouded her spirit but when she saw her apprentice and the kit she was instantly ready to serve.
"What happened to the poor thing? Please, set it here." Spottedleaf arranged a nest that would have to do for the moment. She'd have an apprentice fetch some moss later. She looked up at Foxleaf and nodded, motioning for her to begin explaining as she turned to fetch some herbs.

Foxleaf quickly set the silver kit down on the makeshift bed. "I was collecting mint for another experiment..." Foxleaf knew Spottedleaf probably disapproved of such medicinal experiments, but such was her nature. She loved experimenting. "Anyway, I saw this kit. And a twoleg tree-eating monster was coming. I dropped the mint and grabbed her, ran back here. The forest is filled with twolegs... She's a healthy kit though. All legs are broken as well as most of her ribs. Don't know how..." Foxleaf sighed, wanting to forget it. The poor kit needed help, and that was what mattered most.

Spottedleaf nodded, focusing on her task. Broken bones... that'll take some broom I think. She sorted the herbs and began to chew them to make a poultice. She looked up at Foxleaf for a moment and then spat out the chewed stalks and began rubbing in a few other choice herbs.
"Twolegs in the forest... I see... and where were you, again?" She asked, her eyes turning back to her work.

"Treecut Place. That's where I discovered the Mint patch, but I won't be going back to fetch any soon. With twolegs and all." She said with a sigh, shaking her head. She hoped the kit would be okay. "I think we need a bone set. Since there are no cutes leading to the broken bones she doesn't need a poultice. She's broken bones without piercing skin, nice. Maybe some bark and cobweb? Something to hold the legs in place while they heal? And something to bind together the ribs... Maybe a vine?" Foxleaf offered the suggestion with a shrug. Dreamer. She figured eventually her suggestions might be of worth. Maybe now.

Spottedleaf closed her eyes.
"Broom is a special and rare herb that when absorbed into the bones helps them make a substance that aids the healing process. And we can use cobwebs well enough to bind the legs, unless they are broken near the shoulder. The ribs probably can be held by them, as well, but if not you may try out your idea." Spottedleaf meowed. She was not as irked by Foxleaf's suggestions as others might be. She was glad she would be leaving ThunderClan in such capable paws. She looked up at her apprentice and frowned slightly. Was she really ready? The day was coming.
It would soon be here.

[[Uh-oh... The plot mesh is NOT a good thing... PM me please.]]
Foxleaf nodded, discouraged. She knew her ideas were stupid to begin with. She looked down at the kit and sighed inwardly. "We should name her... Suggestions?" Foxleaf already knew what to name the kit, but wasn't about to say anything. Her mentor could be of assistance, and it also made her look less suspicious. If only it things had been different...

Spottedleaf shook her head.
"I have no idea. Why don't you come up with something?" She asked, a little distracted. When the sun sets... She looked up into the sky. When the sun sets...

Foxleaf nodded. "How about Rockkit?" And that was the name that would be. She felt a little motherly joy over the kit. Her kit. Hers and Thornclaw's kit. The only survivor, and the best there was. She'd be a great cat one day.

Spottedleaf nodded.
"Ok, Rockkit it is." She turned and looked at the happiness on Foxleaf's face. That's strange... She thought, but then shrugged the thought aside. She felt a motherly concern for all of her Clanmates, so why wouldn't Foxleaf for a defenseless kit? It only made sense. Spottedleaf looked at Foxleaf and sighed inwardly. You will make a good Medicine cat... I can feel gratified in that. She thought.
"Listen... I've got to clear my head. Watch the kit and make sure she doesn't move. Give her this when she can swallow it and bind up the injuries." Spottedleaf meowed, gently pushing the leaf with its poultice towards her apprentice. Spottedleaf stood, looking out at the fern tunnel.

Foxleaf nodded. "Alright. Hurry back." She meowed with a smile. But she felt hopeless inside, as if something was wrong. After all, her mentor seemed distant now. With a sigh, Foxleaf nodded and turned back to Rockkit.

OOC: It.. is... time... -.-
BIC: Spottedleaf padded out of the camp, not worrying when she felt a dark presence behind her. She'd known this would be her fate. Still, she was sad. She wanted to cry out, to beg StarClan to spare her. But she knew she was destined for this, and so she resigned to her fate. A twig snapped behind her and she stopped beside the tree where she and Firestar had visisted together in secret so many times... She looked up into the branches of that tall, beautiful tree and smiled sadly.
"So you're the traitor? I really should have known. What have you told them?" She asked, turning to look intently at the tabby tom that stood a few paces away. His eyes were dark and his mouth set in a frown.
"Only what they wanted to know." He meowed solemnly.
"And she told you to kill me, didn't she...?" Spottedleaf asked faintly.
"Yeah. I'm sorry, Spottedleaf." He meowed, staring down at his paws. "But this is for the best." Spottedleaf looked at the tree again and raised her claws. She dug them into the bark and tore at it.
"You're just as your name implies. Buried in your beliefs that are twisted and bent from your sufferings." She murmured. The tom growled softly.
"I want to save ThunderClan!" He cried. Spottedleaf turned on him, fury rising in her chest.
"You are destroying ThunderClan! Betraying it!" She exlaimed. The tom lunged forward and struck her on the side of the face. Spottedleaf gasped as she was knocked aside. She felt his claws digging into her flank but she didn't struggle. She wouldn't make it out of this alive. StarClan had told her that it was her fate. And so she would accept that.
"Why don't you resist?" The tom demanded. Spottedleaf looked up at him and her eyes burned, though with resolve, not anger or hatred.
"Because I loved you once, Tangleroot... and I couldn't harm you then, or now." His eyes widened and he staggered backwards. Two cats slunk out of the undergrowth, the she-cat snickering evilly.
"Aw, isn't that sweet. The forbiden love expressed as the she-cat takes her last breaths." Chaos snickered. Renegade smiled with disgusting pleasure as he stalked forward. Tangleroot turned on him and growled.
"No! I don't want to kill her, and I won't let you, either!" He exclaimed. Chaos laughed.
"You've betrayed your Clan, Tangleroot. Why would one more betrayal matter? If your Clan knew they wouldn't spare you. And if she lives she will tell. Get out of the way." Chaos growled. Renegade launched himself forward but Tangleroot rose to meet him. The SilenceClan and ThunderClan warrior met and their screeches rent the air as they fought. Spottedleaf saw Chaos coming towards her, but her leg had gotten caught in the root of the tree beside her. It's so ironic that a tangled root should kill me after all. She thought with a sad smile as Chaos leaped at her and slashed her claws across her throat. The last thing that Spottedleaf heard was...
"Spottedleaf! NO!"

[[Suddenly, I feel horribly for Firestar. So Spottedleaf left him for Tangle, eh?]]
Foxleaf had followed her mentor quietly, knowing that something was wrong. Spottedleaf wouldn't just leave an injured kit for a 'breath of air'. But when she watched several cats kill her mentor, she was awestruck. She quietly walked out of the brush, standing to look at the other cats. Tangleroot, too. And she knew. Her eyes blazed like a blue-white fire, and her voice sounded of that of a kit and a warrior, as if two spoke in unison. "You did not only betray your Clan and your love, but you have also set your Clan for destruction." She bowed her head, collapsing to the ground in a gasp for air. She had blacked out again. But she remembered everything. Every life and more. Her promise to Reedwhisker, which she had not broken. She smiled up at the she-cat before her. "Set for destruction." She said with a smile, lunging at Chaos. It was her time as well. Her time to fly.

OOC: Pfffh no. She used to love him a long time ago. Before and a little after she was apprenticed as an MC.
BIC: Tangleroot stiffened and turned to see Foxleaf. I only wanted to save my Clanmates... I am a fool... and a coward. I knew I couldn't kill Spottedleaf but I was determined to try to save ThunderClan... how could I have betrayed her?
"You should pay more attention!" Renegade's voice echoed in Tangleroot's ears just as his claws scored down the side of the tom's face. He screeched in agony and lunged away from the tom, running blindly into the forest. Traitor... The very trees seemed to whisper the word to him... Traitor...
Chaos laughed piteously as she launched at the she-cat and slashed with her claws.
"With Renegade's paws freed now, do you think you can win? hardly!" She scoffed.

[[It'd be funny if Fox began to haunt Chaos in her dreams... xD]]
"No, I never did. But killing me will forever haunt you..." Foxleaf said. "I am Fox, Foxsun, Foxheart, Foxfur, Foxtail, Foxleaf. I will come again in time..." She said with a smile, not even bothering to pull out her claws of bare her fangs. Kill me, I dare you. She thought happily. She would follow her mentor tonight.

OOC: Hahaha let's make Chaos more crazy than she already is (and that's saying something... o.o)
BIC: Chaos's laughter sounded more like a shriek.
"You're a foolish little brat! I'll tear your throat out!" She meowed, slashing at the cat's throat just as Renegade threw himself onto the she-cat's flank to pin her down and make her an easier kill.

Foxleaf smiled as her throat was torn apart. "Nightmares..." She hissed darkly, smiling, as she was killed. Eyes glazed over a frosty green, she mumbled something even through death. "I did it, Thornclaw, I did it. I killed her, just like you wanted..." She said in a dreamlike state. Her body was still and lifeless apart from her lips, which were partially open. She was dead to any cat, yet her final breath escaped her as words... She watched in the dream as she shadow of her former mate in the woods, walk away sadly. "I killed my mentor for you..." And with that, she was gone.
