Articwind felt like reminding this she-cat who she was. "Well. I guess I'll hurt your brother if he keeps secrets." She could feel the two of tehm were very close. Hurting Coilsnake would hurt Kinkfur. Of course, she probably wouldn't hurt her mate. But she needed to know what was going on.

"If you beat me to it." Kinkfur said just as icily. She hissed again, eyeing Arcticwind for a minute. "You don't scare me. You don't even have the name of a leader. You're just plain old Arcticwind now." Kinkfur stood, stretching. She picked up Destinykit in her jowls and pushed Towerkit to his feet. Blinking sleepily, he followed his mother to the opposite side of the Nursery and away from Arcticwind.

Arcticiwnd laughed at this, her facade switching from laughter to somberness in an instant. "I wonder what you'll say when my kits and your kits are apprenticed, and I'm leader once mroe and your a warrior. Will I bust you with rudeness?Disrespect? Hun, I'm still Deputy. Would you of talked to Icetalon that way??"

"No. But I'd talk to anyone who'd done a wrong as you." Kinkfur said menacingly, hissing at the 'deputy'. "Listen, you'll never know what wrong you've done. But you do what you can to me, I don't care. It will never make up for the wrong you did us." Kinkfur smiled slyly, realizing what she could add to make the conversation more interesting. "You don't even know who fathered these kits." She said darkly, looking at the sweet kittens who were Hauntedshadow's kits.

"I have a feeling you went against the warrior code to get those very kits. I'll find out." Arcticwind tossed her head away from he bitter queen, wondering what she had dodne wrong. kinkfur was being very coy about it.

"Coilsnake knows." Kinkfur said with a sly smile. She knew that in order for her brother to know, he would have to confess his love as well. He was no tom to be doing that, and it would lead Arcticwind to a dead end that was not back-trackable. It was the perfect, perfect plan.

Arcticwind smiled. "If Coilsnake tells me, and it's against the warrior code... I won't be afraid to tell Icestar. Or, for that matter, I'll take my role as leader again and exile you. How would you like that?"

"You could never exile all the cats who have done a wrong to this Clan." Kinkfur said. She knew that if Coilsnake did say anything, he'd expose his love for Icefire. Then he would also have to be exiled. Because either Arcticwind would be unfair and exile one but not the other, or she'd exile both. And if she only banished Kinkfur, Coilsnake had no heart to remain in ShadowClan in sad guilt.

"We couldn't be friends." Kinkfur said softly, sadly. She wished Coilsnake had not fallen for another cat. How could he do that to his mate, his real mate? Icefire loved him, and eh had thrown it all away.

Coilsnake strutted in, shaking his frostbitten fur sadly.
"It's like I've gone blind and all I see is white." He said with a sigh, unhappy that he could not bring his mate anything. He looked at his kits happily, forgetting once again about Icefire. One look from Kinkfur, however, sent him in a saddened frenzy over her again.

"The snow is really bad... And we can't... hunt?" Coilsnake didn't know what she meant. He thought she was crazy not to know what hunting was about. What the weather was about. He sat down, confused, hoping Arcticstar wasn't mad at him for anything.

Coilsnake said, disbelieving his sister would say such things. She must've been mad at him, but he couldn't do much about love. She'd have to accept his love.

Arctciwind purred. "Okay. I'm sorry. I was just confused. and you are the best thing that happened to me, too. you and these kits." she sighed. She knew there was something she hadn't been told, but she was fine for now. As long as she had Coilsnake..she was complete.

"She gets on my nerves too." He whispered low so that only Arcticstar could hear. Admiring his kits, he smiled vividly. They were his, and he was there to see them.

Little Chirpkit sniffed in deeply, but she couldn't hear or see. Where am I? She thought, stumbling over another body. That other body was her very own sister, Aetistkit, who wailed as paws tripped over her. Chirpkit wobbled over to her dad, burying her nose into him.
