Arcticstar smiled. Her heart felt like it had grown wings and flew onto a cloud. A weird comparison but it was true. Leaning forward to nuzzle Coilsnake, she sighed and leaned onto him. "Should we...tell the clan?" She asked, gazing into his eyes.

[[2 months later]
Arcticstar was in the nursery, her breath coming out heavily. She was giving birth. Abillion thoughts went through her mind. What will they look like? She really wanted one to look like herself. She gave birth to the first cat, a white one. He had golden untertones, like his dad. The next one looked completely like Coilsnake, Golden fur. The next kit was a mix, a white and gold kit, that was very small. A flash of worry shot through her for the female, but the next kit was fighting it's way out. this kit was the biggest. She was a pure, lovely brown kitten.. she felt her pain slow a little, until the next kit came. Then it was all over. This kit was another female, small and gray/white/gold. She was beautiful.

Coilsnake heard the news, and felt his heart throbbing. His kits, the first he had ever gotten to see. Icefire's were probably doing great, too, but that was beside the point. Arcticstar was the now, and these kits needed him. He hurried into the den, finding five healthy kits in his wake.
"They are beautiful." He purred to Arcticstar, casting a glance at his sister. Kinkfur looked horrified, angry beyond belief, but said nothing.

Arctistar purred. "I have names. This Whitee one, with golden undertones, is Polarkit." she felt a pang of sadness. She had named the male after her own brother, Polarpaw, who had died moons ago. "This golden female, the one that looks like you, is Chirpkit. The Pure brown one is Artistkit. The white and gold one is dogkit, he's very small. And the last one is Lillykit." She sighed. Five kits. That was a lot. She sudden had a striking thought. Coilsnake had seemed odd when he walked in and saw his sister. Was there a secret? she had a another thought. "I'm stepping down to deputy, while I have the kits. I'll be known as Arcticwind, my warrior name. Icetalon will be known as Icestar, for the time. When the kits are apprenticed, I'll resume my position as ShadowClan leader.

"Okay. You could always keep your leader name though." Coilsnake said, suddenly feeling a pang of empty loneliness. Icefire had always been there for him, and what had he done? Abandon her! But he wasn't about to say anything to Arcticstar. No, never. Never again...

Arcticwind blinked. She had a feeling Coilsnake didn't love her anymore. she wanted so badly to reach out to him, but she was as silent as a rock. she looked down. "Coilsnake."She said lowly. "Are you okay?I'm feeling like your distant. Why? Are you mad at me?"

"Just thinking." Coilsnake purred warmly, nuzzling his mate. Icefire was gone, and he ahd to let her go. Shaking her and her kits from his head, he cast a wary glance at his sister and then at his kits.
"This Chirpkit is very cute. And Polarkit is the most handsome of them all." He purred affectionately, sitting down next to Arcticstar.

Arcticwind accepted his nuzzle affectionately. She nodded. "I named Polarkit after my brother." she sighed and looked down. "I've never seen a cat the color of Artistkit!" She had loved the color of the kit immediately. It was a cool contrast from Arcticwind's white pelt to Artistkit's brown one.

"Well, there was a ShadowClan apprentice I saw once who looked like that." Coilsnake said with a purr. "But not exactly." Kinkfur hissed unhappily, and Coilsnake rolled his eyes.
"So they are... Polarkit, Chirpkit, Dogkit, Artistickit, and Lilykit?" He asked curiously, wanting to make sure he had his kit's names all right.

"Yes." Arcticwind purred, feeling sleepy and exhausted. She shot Kinkfur a look out of the corner of her eye. What was the she-cats problem?

Arcticwind was suddenly ravenously hungery. she ndded quickly and yawned, her rows of teeth sharp and pure white. she looked at Kinkfur. "kinkfur?Do you...hate me or something?" Right now, Arcticwind didn't feel like the leader of shadowclan. she felt like a Queen, or a regular warrior. Strange...

"No. I hate what you've done to Coilsnake." Kinkfur hissed darkly, looking upon her own two kits. Should be three. Why did the world work like that? Was Hauntedshadow alright? How was Icefire doing?
Coilsnake quickly returned with a scrawny mouse clamped in his jaws. It was more fur and bones than anything. He sighed as he placed it at Arcticstar's paws.
"All the pile had left. Or to begin with." Coilsnake said.

Arcticwind nodded, disturbed at what Kinkfur said. what did she mean? There was so,ething between Coilsnake and his siter, a secret that she couldn't unravel. She wished she could talk more to kinkfur, but with Coilsnake hovering, she felt she couldn't say anything.

"I'll go hunt and see if I can find more." Coilsnake said with a sigh, heaving himself up and walking out of the Nursery to try and find his mate more food. Kinkfur ignored him and watched her two kits happily.

Articwind got up, getting close to Kinkfur. "Tell me what's going on." she said in a hard voice, gaining some of her authority. she heard Chirpkit yowl for milk, but she ingored the orange kit and went on. "I can see a secret between you two."
