OOC: Alrighty then I have no idea what to do now...
Ashfire sat beside Spottedleaf, her paw held up and over so that her pad was visible.
"I think I may have scratched it." Ashfire could tell Spottedleaf was skeptical - at least for Spottedleaf, anyway.
"It would appear you got cut on rocks or some sharp objects. Have you been taking care while hunting?" Spottedleaf asked, licking Ashfire's swelling pad gently. Ashfire sighed.
"I've had a lot on my mind lately. I don't pay much attention to anything these days." She murmured miserably. Spottedleaf blinked and looked up at her, her tongue still hanging out of her mouth. She finally straightened and composed herself, her shoudlers square and her face calm.
"I see. Some wise cats will say that talking out certain things is the best cure. Do you want to tell me what's wrong?" She asked. Ashfire paused. She really did want to confide in someone... But she would never speak of that day again. It would hurt too much.
"I'm afraid someone close to me hurt someone else I know well and hold dear to my heart. And I-I think I may have loved him... but I don't know." Ashfire shook her head. Spottedleaf stared into the she-cat's miserable face and wondered what tom could have hurt her so.
"Hey," she said gently, touching Ashfire's shoulder with her tail, "You're a strong cat. No tom should get you down this way. I know you. You're stronger that this." Spottedleaf meowed fervently. Ashfire hissed, and that surprised the medicine cat.
"What do you know? You're just a Medicine cat. You don't understand." Ashfire snatched her paw away and padded towards the fresh kill pile, taking a piece of prey and storming over to the Warriors den. Spottedleaf stared after her, sad and silent.
