Topazleaf gave one final push and out came three beautiful kits. She meowed for her mate Lightningstrike to show. She already had names in mind, Chiveskit, a furry brown she-cat with yellow eyes, Twitchkit, a gray tom with amber eyes, and Macadamia kit, a grey she-cat with brown patches and green eyes.

Lightningstrike smiled fondly at his mate and new kits.
"So the twitchy little one is Twitchkit, eh?" He asked jokingly. The little Twitchkit, a small muddy beige tom, was twitching. His whiskers wiggled franticly, and it caused Lightningstrike to laugh.
"I love them. And I love you."

Chiveskit wriggled closer to her mother, sniffing out a nipple and suckling contentedly. She let out a happy purr as she kneeded her mother's belly. Her little brown tail flicked happily every few moments, and then lay still.

Twitchkit nursed next to his sister, Chiveskit, and purred contentedly. He knew all was right with the world.

Chiveskit felt a warmth beside her and moved closer to it. Her brother's scent and the secure feeling of his pelt brushing hers made the little she-kit purr with delight. Her little tail seemed to flick again. It appeared to be a sign of happiness and contentment for Chiveskit.

Twitchkit nuzzled his sister, still purring, tail twitching happily. He was at peace, happy, watching the lie with eager paws. He began to suckle on his mother, hunger overwhelming him.
