ANXIETY/SHOCK
Anxiety is when a cat is excessively nervous or fearful for some reason. Shock is when, after witnessing a traumatic event, the cat is unresponsive or refuses to come out of a daze. Listed below are treatments to bring the cat out of its trance or to soothe the frayed nerves.
Best Treatments:
1) Kava Kava and Passionflower [might have]
2) Motherwort and Thyme Leaves [more likely to have]
3) Mugwort and Oatstraw [will not have] ]]

Mountainfur shook his head.
"Not even half. That's too much." He frowned, wondering if the Medicine Cat was right. Was he being over-protective? Probably. With a sigh, he decided to let the Medicine Cat work.

"Mountainfur, I'm not going to hurt your kit...I would never hurt him." Whitesong meowed giving Taintedkit half of some thyme.
Hollyleaf licked Taintedkit's head to comfort him.
Featherkit fell asleep by her father's paws.

Taintedkit tentatively licked the herb. Spitting it out, he coughed and shook his head. No one would make him eat that foul stuff. He dashed under his mother's tail again - this time, there were two cats he was hiding from.

Against her love's and mate's wishes, Streakwater had insisted upon returning with them to the Nursery. The kits were born early enough that they were still small, and slightly undeveloped. But that would come with time, right? Each could carry two kits - it was a wonder that they all offered to help. With a sigh, Streakwater padded into the den carrying Silverkit and Shadowkit. She set them down with their four other siblings, and then let them gently nurse.
"I have some news, Hollyleaf, Mountainfur." Streakwater said happily, excited, but tired all the same.

Prairiefoot carried Stripedkit in her jaws and set him down in the nursery. "Congrats Streakwater." She mewed hoarsely. She then turned out of the nursery and entered the warriors den, crying herself to sleep.

Badgerstripe came out with Badgerkit and Water kit, setting them down gently next to their mother, his love. They suckled happily and contentedly. He waited patiently, wondering how sweet Hooyleaf ad rough Mountainfur would take the news. She looked at his mate expentantly.

"Honey, You have to eat the herb, Whitesong gives you. It will make you better." Hollyleaf purred licking her son's head then turned to see Streakwater and Badgerstripe come in with 6 kits. "Oh Streakwater! Are you alright I though they weren't supposed to be born for another moon." She meowed in shock.
Whitesong was already looking the newborn kits over to make sure they were healthy.

"I know. They came early." She turned to Mountainfur, who studdied Badgerkit a moment.
"They're Badgerstripe's kits." she smiled the words, no longer fearing for Hollyleaf and the chance of her losing her mate. Mountainfur looked stunned to silence, and his son remained hidden.

"Oh, well. That's great, Streakwater. Congratulations." Hollyleaf meowed looking at all the kits. "And if you need help feeding them, don't hesitate to ask me." Hollyleaf flick Mountainfur with her tail lightly and smiled at him.
"They all look great, Streakwater and Badgerstripe." Whitesong meowed. "I'm going to give you some Borage Leaves for your milk and if you do need help with them. I suggest you take Hollyleaf's offer because 6 kits will take a lot out of you."
Featherkit woke up and rubbed her head around her father's paws purring.

Badgerstripe puffed out his chest proudly. "These kits will be great," he meowed in pride. "But yes, six kits will wear you out," He meowed, worried. He licked his mates head. "I'll go get you some prey." He purred, dashing out of the nursery.

Mountainfur smiled, free of the burden of two mates. Now he and Hollyleaf could be mates alone, and use all their love for each other. No more worrying about Streakwater. He licked Featherkit softly. Taintedkit saw how his sister was alright, and he came out from under his mother's tail. With a great leap, he kicked up and landed on Featherkit, pinning her down. Mountainfur laughed and purred.

Streakwater nodded to Hollyleaf.
"Could you care for Silverkit and Shadowkit, then? That'll mean we both have four kits among us." She smiled, glad to have her friend's help. Streakwater set the two newborn kits by Hollyleaf. Shadowkit, a tom with dark grey, almost black, fur was a little more cautious then his sister. Silverkit, a white she-kit with a black paw and silver tail, began to suckle right away. But eventually hunger got the best of Shadowkit and he began to nurse as well. The other four were already nursing on their mother.

Hollyleaf smiled down and licked the heads of Silverkit and Shadowkit. "Their very beautiful, Streakwater." She purred.
Featherkit gently kicked Taintedkit off of her, jumping on him pinning him down. "G-Got y-you." She purred.

Taintedkit was thrust from his sister, and sent sprawling onto the ground. Featherkit had him pinned, or so she thought. He rolled over, sending her flying into Streakwater, and scrambled over his mother. He then raced around the Nursery making quite a ruckus, leaping over anything in his way.

Streakwater smiled as Taintedkit ran a frenzy.
"Thank you, Hollyleaf. But if you need me to take one of them," she cast a glance at Taintedkit, "I won't mind, as it appears you already have your paws full." She smiled and purred.

(You do remember that Taintedkit is older then Featherkit right? shouldn't he be able to talk too? it goes him,Featherkit, then Bolderkit.)
"Mountainfur, will you please help me with your son..." Hollyleaf meowed looking at him then Taintedkit. "No, its OK, Streakwater. I'm fine." She meowed looking down at Silverkit who looked like Bolderkit, she sighed.
Featherkit glance at Taintedkit, she didn't want to hurt him. Its not her nature.

Taintedkit was suddenly scooped up in the air by his father, and set down resting at his mother's side. The kit went back to suckling, resting his tired legs from a good run. Streakwater only nodded.
[[Did you know a cat can nurse up to nine kits at a time? I mean, it'll run her dry and the kits won't eat as much, but still...]]

Hollyleaf smiled down at Taintedkit, Featherkit, Silverkit and Shadowkit. Then looked over at the other kits at Streakwater's belly. "We sure have are paws full." She purred. "Thank you, Mountainfur, for calming him."

Mountainfur nodded, and Streakwater smiled. Suddenly, Taintedkit bolted out of the den. Streakwater was letting herself rest by refusing to let the kits suckle, and so she darted after him.
"I'll get him!" She called, looking around frantically outside the den. There she saw his little, mesmerized form, vanish through the entrance to the camp. She sighed, darting after him.
The kit was lost for some time, until Streakwater scented him. He was heading up to the Gorge. Fear of losing him propelled her even faster, though it was hard to find where he was exactly. Suddenly, she saw him admiring, much too closely, the Gorge.
"Taintedkit!" She leaped at him - and missed. But Taintedkit did not fall. Startled, he lurched sideways. Suddenly, recognizing the queen, he stopped and watched her go skidding off the edge of the Gorge. Suddenly, he felt the first words of his on the tip of his tongue. He heard Streakwater speak them as she fell, and knew he must repeat them at all costs. He made double-time to get back to the Nursery.
"HELP!!!"

Taintedkit saw his mother and repeated Streakwater's words.
"Help! Help! Help!" He flicked his tail at Streakwater's kits.
"Help!" Mountainfur was outside in seconds.
"What is it? I think someone needs help!" Mountainfur looked around in alarm. "Where's Streakwater?"
"Help!" Taintedkit repeated eagerly.
