Tempeststorm couldn't help but feel awkward among the WindClan warriors. She could hear the whispers - accusations would be a better word for it - that were aimed towards her. Flamestreak seemed curious, and that just aggrivated Tempeststorm more. She shook her head.
"We should be leaving." She meowed softly, her eyes hard and dark. She shifted, trying to hide the bulge of her belly. Her kits were due any day now; it was probably unwise to be romping about other Clan's territory. Flamestreak had obviously noticed and she nodded slightly.
"Yes, that would probably be wise. Are you alright?" She asked, concerned. Tempeststorm sighed softly.
"Yes, I am fine, don't worry. I may be new to being pregnant but I've gotten used to it by now." She meowed with a tinge of humor in her voice.

"Changing Clans has to be hard." Streakwater agreed, sighing. She kneaded her bedding a little more, fluffing it up and making it very nice and soft. Smiling to herself, she curled up and began to think about the kits.
"I know I have a moon or so to go, but what about names?" She asked openly.

"How about Applekit, after Mountainfur's mother?" Hollyleaf meowed quietly.
Featherkit began to wiggle around, she pushed Taintedkit over so she could get some milk.

Taintedkit was sucking on his mother when he felt a hard shove. He was knocked out of the way by another small, unruly mass. Unhappily, Taintedkit fought back but to no avail. The other mass was stronger, and much more determined. The scent of milk, however, caused him to sniffle around even more. He crawled around in search of lunch, but ran into a soft pile of moss. He was utterly lost, and only subconsciously in this world. He was experiencing his life on fast-forward, catching every detail of what was to come. When he would open his eyes, however, something would click and the life would be gone. At it's end. So the half-dazed and unfocused kit fought back against the small mass and finally managed to shove it back, and regain his place once more.

Streakwater purred in amusement as she watched Taintedkit crawl around blindly until he managed to push away his sister. She smiled.
"Taintedfall's birth name was Stonekit. But he drank some tainted water, and was the only one in the litter to survive. So they renamed him. And Appletail was one of the few kits who did not actually drink the water." Streakwater remembered hearing Mountainfur tell her of such.

Hollyleaf nodded. "So are you going to name a kit, Stonekit?" She asked kindly. She then looked down at her kits, she gave them both each a few licks and purred. "Be gentle now..." She smiled then turned back to Streakwater.
Featherkit purred as she snuggled up next to her mother and older brother.

Taintedkit heard something but paid no mind. He felt the mass wiggle up next to him, and was half-tempted to just push her away and teach her a lesson. He thought better of it, though, and left the mass be.

"Probably. That'd be nice, a Stonekit and an Applekit. Or maybe after my own parents." She said with a smile, purring. Hollyleaf's kits were adorable. I hope mine are just as cute.

Taintedkit felt something wet on his ear, and he twitched it unhappily. It was that mass again. He shoved it over, sick and tired of being next to it. Then he continued to suckle.

"My parents?" Streakwater smiled. "Starstruck and Blueice, we think. Never sure if Blueice was my father though." Streakwater continued to smile.

A rustle at the entrance to the den announced the arrival of Mountainfur. He carried two rabbit in his jowls, and dropped them at the two queens' feet.
"Howdy do?"

Featherkit snuggled beside her mother away from Taintedkit. He was annoying and mean.
"They had beautiful names..." Hollyleaf meowed then turned to look at her mate who just walked in. "Thank you, Mountainfur." she purred looking at the rabbit. "Did you talk to Magicheart(Star) yet?" She asked the took a bite of her rabbit.

[Feather should open her eyes first.]
"Er... No. But the news should've reached him by now. A mysterious queen and two kits joining camp, returning with the ever-mysterious Mountainfur. Yeah, that and someone announced that I'm not only these guys' father." He stroked Featehrkit softly, and then cast an angry glance at Streakwater. She pulled back her ears and sighed.
"But I don't think we'll have much trouble. I mean, how can you refuse two healthy kits and their gorgeous mommy?" He asked, rubbing up against Hollyleaf. Almost invisibly he whispered into her ear,
"I don't like Streakwater as more than a friend. I didn't have feelings for her, like you, in the slightest. Don't believe her silly stories." He stopped 'nuzzling' her and looked at Featherkit.
"I think she's fidgety." He noted.

Hollyleaf smiled and nodded to Mountainfur. "Yeah, Taintedkit pushed her away. I don't think she liked it."
Featherkit yawned and blinked her blue eyes open, she looked at Hollyleaf then Mountainfur.

Streakwater, annoyed, turned and stalked quickly out of the den.

Mountainfur purred.
"She opened her eyes!" He exclaimed with a smile. He then looked down at Taintedkit. The kit did no more than sneeze.
"Guess he's sleepy." Mountainfur joked, Taintedfall letting out a wail. It was a high-pitched, piercing, screaming wail that jolted Mountainfur out of his fur.
"What's wrong?" He gasped, suddenly darting out of the den. He ran straight into the Medicine Den.

Hollyleaf pushed Featherkit away from Taintedkit, then she started nosing him. "My poor little kit."
Featherkit was pushed away from her brother which she didn't like it. She loved Taintedkit.
The white cat rushed into the nursery with Mountainfur over to Taintedkit. She looked down at the kit. "His nose feels warm, I hope it don't turn into greencough." Whitesong meowed.

Mountainfur pushed back into the crowded den. It was a good thing that Streakwater had left - the den was starting to get very overcrowded.

Taintedkit wailed again. He, like all kits before him, was seeing what would happen. He didn't like it. His death was the hardest thing he'd ever had to face. He let out another low wail, trying to make it stop. Trying to force his eyes open... Trying... He felt the black coming on and then... He saw a line of light. A little more. He opened his eyes a little farther. Then, finally, he saw the world through golden-brown optics.

Whitesong purred when she saw his eyes open. "Maybe he was just a little scared." She smiled then padded out of the nursery.
"T-Taintedkit." Featherkit purred to him.
"Great job, Taintedkit." She purred then heard Featherkit mew he first work. "Aww, Mountainfur. She spoke her first word." Hollyleaf meowed with pride.

"Adorable. Taintedkit, your turn. Say something." He smiled at the kit, watching expectantly. Taintedkit met his gaze but was just as silent. Suddenly, his little golden-brown eyes opened wide. He started to scream again, making quick progress to hide behind Featherkit, under his mother's tail. Even though he could still only crawl, he could crawl fast, and so did. He shivered in fear, only just connecting something he had seen to the real world. Mountainfur was shocked into silence.

Taintedkit began to sob softly, scared, as he continued to hide, flicking his ear as Featherkit licked it. Mountainfur felt the bile rising in his throat.
"Taintedkit, it's me; it's daddy." He meowed softly. The kit shivered, and then sniffed the air. Deciding he was safe by his mother, he wiggled out from under his mother's tail, but stayed close to her all the same.
