A black figure padded across the moorland, hoping to catch a meal. 'As new deputy, I must take my responsibilities seriously. I have to feed the clan first, whether I like it or not.' the black she-cat thought to herself. She kept on, making sure to keep her jaws parted to drink in the scents. 'Hmm...lets see. Rabbit not too far off, a couple of mice nearby, and a jay sitting on a stump. Easy hunting today.' she decided silently.
Nightsong stalked in the direction she smelled the rabbit. When she saw the fluffy white tail wiggling, she instinctively got into a hunter's crouch. She stalked onward, her belly grazing the dew covered grass. When she got a fox length away, she raised her haunches and swayed from side to side, ready to spring. As soon as she knew she'd catch the rabbit off guard, she pounced. She raked the rabbit's side with her claws, but didn't quite catch it. Her black paws raced across the moor, chasing the rabbit. Eventully, she got close enough to where she could pounce and land on top of it. When she did so, she bit down on the neck and finished off the prey. She gripped it in her jaws and drug it over to a tree stump. Nightsong layed the rabbit beside the tree stump, spreading leaves over it to cover it up. When it was decently covered, she trotted toward the scent of the mice. [/size]
