The tabby tom padded through the brush, his blue eyes strained on the earth. He had raked over the whole territory searching for herbs he could use, and had collected a good amount. He wondered where Rubypaw had run off to. She was usually so good at staying in sight. Littlecloud heaved a sigh. Sometimes having an apprentice was a vexing thing. Perhaps he would give her her name and be done with it. After all, she was a good medicine cat, and had learned a lot even before she came to him. He hoped StarClan were in a listening mood this half-moon. But then again, would Dragonstar allow Littlecloud to go to the medicine cat meeting? Even if the tom believed in StarClan, it didn't mean he would think it safe for Littlecloud to join the Clan's medicine cats. He sighed. Every part of him itched to go with them. Besides, if he couldn't go, Rubypaw would never be a full medicine cat. He looked up into the sky and blinked. If you want her to be a medicine cat now, StarClan, just let Dragonstar agree. He prayed silently. His eyes darted to where he saw a clump of horsetail.
"That'll come in handy." He murmured to himself, crouching to bite off the stems.
OOC: BTW guys I'm changing Littlecloud's appearance to fit his ACTUAL appearance... yeah. So please don't get confused.

Rubypaw had disappeared around a bushel of marigold. It could be useful. Biting off a few stems, she suddenly felt the anxiety coming from a nearby pelt. Ditching the marigold, she skirted around the bend to find her mentor, Littlecloud. He looked like he was thinking. She sighed, he did this often, especially when he thought she wasn't looking. "Littlecloud," she spoke softly, as to not scare him. She was just as old as he was, No younger or old. Well, maybe a moon younger. "What's wrong?"

Littlecloud was so lost in thought, even the soft voice startled him a little. He swiveled his head around and his eyes widened. He relaxed though as soon as he saw who it was.
"Hmm? Oh, nothing's really wrong. I was just thinking..." He sighed and shook his head, "You're almost as old as me but I've had my name for nearly two moons. It would be appropriate to take you to the Moonstone at the half moon, but I don't know if Dragonstar will let me go. The other Medicine cats might be hostile, or might not be. I don't know." He sighed.

Rubypaw let a sly smile cross her. She had been known as mischevious in RiverClan, why not let that trait go?"Let's go now. We don't have to tell Dragonstar." She smiled as him. He was hamdsome... Oh! She pushed away weird feelinds. She was a Medicine Cat!

Littlecloud blinked. He supposed it couldn't hurt... the shimmer in the she-cat's eye made his heart skip a beat. He wanted to go with her, he wanted to meet the challenge that shone there in Rubypaw's gaze. He straightened up, trying to get a grip on himself. He shook his head and sighed. It was no use.
"I suppose it couldn't... do any harm..." He meowed unsurely.

"It won't." She gazed into his eyes, knowing he wanted to go. "Let's leave, then!" She chanted, beginning the ling trek to Moonstone. Her paws tingled with excitement...

Littlecloud blinked and shrugged, padding after her. It would not take quite so long to get there as it would have from ShadowClan territory. They'd probably be there in time to stand beneath the almost-half-moon. He padded after Rubypaw, thinking as he went that her fur shimmered quite nicely in the sunlight. He shook his head and tried to clear it of such thoughts. Rubypaw was of course an attractive young cat, but he had better things to think about. What name he was going to give her, for instance. He felt the burden of his choice and wondered if she would like anything he chose.
OOC: Do you have a preference at the moment?

(OOC: Anything is good, although I like Rubyshine ) Rubypaw darted through the brackens and roots that grew through her territory, aware of Littlecloud's eyes on her. Flinching, she felt the odd feeling again... what was that feeling? Did it have a name? It felt extraordinary to her. Pausing, she suddenly realized she had no idea which way to go. Flattening her ears in embarrassment, she nodded for Littlecloud to lead. Her gaze bore into his...

Littlecloud lost himself for a moment in her eyes, but then nodded and padded past her. It was a welcome change not to have to look at her constantly, though his mind kept drifting back to her bright gaze and mischevious expression. He sniffed to himself and wondered if he had bees in his brain. "It won't take us too long, we'll be there by sunset." He meowed. OOC: Ok. That's good, slightly predictable, but good.

Rubypaw nodded, quickly padding in his pawsteps. He smelled very good. What are yousaying? We're both medicine cats!. she shook her head slightly. He would never feel the way about her, anyway. Never ever ever.

Littlecloud leaped over a brook and turned to make sure Rubypaw made it across, too. He smiled at her warmly and turned his sights to Highstones.
OOC: Sorry it's so short, I'm realy not in the mood. *sigh*

Rubypaw wiggled her haunches to leap across the brook. Taking a breath, she leaped. she screeched as she realized she wouldn't making it across. Splashing in, she felt herself going under... she must have lost her RiverClan swimming abilities! She trashed and kicked, struggling...

Littlecloud's head swiveled around as he heard a splash. He saw Rubypaw splashing in the brook and his ears flattened against his skull.
"Rubypaw!" He screeched. Normally he wouldn't want to go near water but he rushed into the stream and caught hold of Rubypaw's scruff as quickly as he could. He tugged at her and flailed, trying to get back to the bank. When he finally felt dry ground beneath his paws again, Littlecloud relaxed his grip and laid Rubypaw gently on the bank.
"Are you Ok?" He asked breathlessly.

She gasped, coughing up water. Her pelt was sodden and cold. "Fine," she gasped, trying to catch breath. She looked up at Littlecloud, her eyes bright despite her brush with death. "You save me," She said in awe.

Even though it hadn't been such an amazing act, the awe in Rubypaw's eyes warmed Littlecloud a little, even though the water had been quite cold and had made his pelt sodden and dark. He almost looked like a earthen tabby now. He smiled slightly at Rubypaw and filcked his wet, heavy tail.
"You're my Clanmate, Rubypaw, and my partner. Think I'd do anything else? Once you're ready we can head out again. We should make it there before the moon rises, or we may not get our chance tonight." He meowed. And unless they wanted to meet the other Medicine cats tomorrow, it would be best to do it right away.

Rubypaw, panting heavily, licked off her pelt from all the water. Her usual red-brown fur was not tabby brown, and it made her lok like a different cat. she felt very awkward around Littlecloud now. she sighed and got up. "Let's go," She meowed miserably, trailing behind Littlecloud.
