Snakepelt curled himself uip in his medicine cat den. he looked like ashriveled beast, slightly worn of muscle, but still a formidable medicine cat. But was he growing too old? He yawned and stretched, answering his question. NO It was out the question. Growing old was like growing new fur. You deserved it. He curled up again, his back aching from a long day's work.

Shadowstar padded into the new Medicine Cat's den.
"I just wanted to see how you were settling in," he meowed.

Chasinglight soon followed her mate. "He'll be fine." She snapped, irritation prickling at her fur. Ever since she got pregnant, she had been snappy and irritable. Was it because she failed her first kit? Pacingwaters was useless, she thought. She glared at her mate, and then stalked off to the nursery, which was stuffy and small and stupid.

"I just wanted to test your skills. Stupid apprentices." Fallingfeather mumbled as she limped into the den. She held out a paw, a small - no, not a thorn - but a stick jammed deep within her pads. She smiled sarcastically, sitting down. "Enjoy." She said, if not somewhat sarcastic as well. She just waited for his reply.

Shadowstar looked at his deputies paw. "How did you manage to pull that off?" he asked. Then remembering why she left camp he asked another question. "Any news on the missing apprentices?"

An ebony cat padded up to his leader. "I haven't seen them for a while now, but I will help look if I must.." He said in his dark voice he didn't care who his leader was talking too. He had just returned from killing a large animal, a deer. It's not my fault the little bastards wandered off. he thought. "Go check that stupid LightClan or whatever you call it, Trueclan, that's it." He growled and his eyes were turning a creamy white, signaling he would kill anything in his path to get the apprentices back. I should be the deputy, if anyone should be...Demon thought and looked at the deputy.

Snakepelt nodded, a gradual hiss slippping from his tongue as he saw demon's grimmace. He nodded, and then turned to the leader " I am fine thankyou., just preparing some herbs!". He approached Fallingfeather, hardly examining the thorn before straining her neck to get a good grip with her fangs. She pulled quickly, as not to have a painful extraction
" I'll get you a cobweb" He sighed, as he departed and returned with a bushel of a spider's home

((You called him 'she' a few times... o.O ... Oh, and if you want to know what happened to Fallingfeather and how she got a stick in her paw, just read 'Searching For Canyons'))
Fallingfeather did not flinch as the stick was extracted. "I told you those dumb apprentices need something better to do than run around camp shoving sticks up cat paws. They should respect me more, you know." She glanced at Demon, her head held high and her gaze meeting his sourly. She was mocking him, silently and it did not bleed through. But inside, deep inside, teasing him of his worthlessness and the fact that she was deputy. "I really do believe that it would be best to send them out with a few warriors to practice something useful." Fallingfeather examined the hole, before standing and padding away. Blood spotted the ground where she stepped - she did not want a cobweb. "Then we might not have lost the two nit-wits. The trail led straight toward TrueClan. I decided that it would be best to prevent further injury or loss of cats and wait until the perfect opportunity for an attack. We would have all been killed, you know." Fallingfeather hinted on having mentors for the apprentices yet again. Not even she knew why she hated apprentices so. All but for that one kit, Speckledkit. She was special, different. She had a golden opportunity in her. Fallingfeather pulled what looked like a sly grin as she padded out of the den. Yes, a perfect opportunity.

"What was that hiss for Snakepelt, your not jealous are you?" He growled and his purple eyes started turning white, Come on you want a piece of me, I'll kill you Snakepelt. He thought then pushed it out of head and his eyes turned back to purple. "Shadowstar I'm going out to get out some anger and frustration!" He growled.
