The silver speckled she-cat watched the horizon for the three four-moon-old fools that were giving her Clan an advantage. They were telling her al the happenings and SilenceClan was ready to pounce. Where were they now? Speckledtail shook her head dismissively, they weren't usually so late. What was keeping them?

Fawnkit pushed her way grudgingly thought the fields until she scented out Speckledtail. Following the trail, she blinked sleepily at the older she-cat. "Sorry. We were, erm, feeding." It had been hard to get away from mother, but she eventually had to tend to some top secret SilenceClan business with their father. Indigokit stumbled behind her. He had almost drifted off to sleep at camp when Fawnkit had urged him awake.

Ripplekit smiled at the she-cat. His mother was still safe, so obviously she had been doing her job.
"Well, not much new has gone on." He admitted sadly. If he couldn't report would Otherstar be killed? That would be the worst. He could hardly bear the thought of losing his mother to some savage cats because of his fault. But if he had nothing to report, what could he do?

Fawnkit piped up. "Mother and Father went to talk about top secret SilenceClan news." Blinking, she suddenly wondered if her siblings should've gone and eavesdropped. It seemed so wrong, but her mother would be safe, and that's all she cared about.

"Really? Is that all?" Speckledtail asked with a sly grin. "That will work for now." She said, and Ripplekit sighed with relief. It meant his mother would be safe, at least for now. He hoped more would happen soon so that he could report a very detailed report. He smiled as the she-cat stood and stretched.
"I've got an appointment to keep now. Thank you, kits." She said with a soft smile as she turned and padded away to meet with another eager-to-help apprentice.

Fawnkit looked closely at Speckledtail. Indigokit seemed to think what she was thinking. Adventure took hold of them both, "Let's follow." He whispered, grinning.

Ripplekit shook his head and sighed.
"If she catches us she might kill Otherstar, remember? We've gotta stay on her good side."
"What do you kits think you're doing?" A deep voice echoed across the land. Suddenly, the sleek Pebblefur slipped up to the kits and glared at them. "Well?"

Fawnkit sharnk to half her size. "Um..." she began in a small voice. But it wasn't like she could explain. Indigokit sat in a stony silence behind her, staring at a scar he had received while pulling himself through a bramble briar on their last visit to Speckledtail. He hadn't even complained about it, but now, it stung with a vengeance.

Pebblefur growled unhappily.
"You'd better explain what you were doing with that SilenceClanner just now." He said, turning to the quiet Indigokit. Ripplekit stood defiantly before Pebblefur.
"We're only saving Otherstar's life." He said with a sly grin. But realizing the unhappiness of it all, his grin quickly faded.

Fawnkit felt something explode within her. How are we helping mom...wait...SilenceClanner? Her eyes widened. They had been telling secrets to a SilenceClanner? She shivered, afraid.

"You are all fools, you know that?" Pebblefur said darkly. "Come back with me." He pushed the kits along unhappily, not looking forward to talking to Otherstar. These kits probably weren't either, though.

Indigokit spun around. "You don't have to tell our mom. Please." His eyes begged. Who could resist kit eyes? Maybe this warrior could, but a lot couldn't.

Pebblefur shook his head.
"Hah. Now come on, kits." He said, pushing them along with his tail. He'd not let anything happen to them until their mother got ahold of them, and for that time he began to worry on their safety.
