A foggy setting descended over TrueClan's territory. It was days like these that Halo felt most secure, most at home. He was a strange one, not really accepted, though he was born in TrueClan. He was too dark for the others, or so he thought. Actually, Halo was extremely light. He was considered a hero by some, for he has saved many. He didn't have powers, no, but it felt like he did.
He trotted down to the Glitter Pond, the fog steadily moved over it. The reflection showed gray skies and a misty atmosphere. It took his breath away. Beautiful, He thought, crouching down to gaze at it's exterior. He sighed as he closed his eyes, flciking his tail a few times, lonely.

The two cats padded along side by side, their pelts - blazing black and white against a soft, cool golden mottled by a blanket of dark ginger - brushing ever so slightly. Their amber eyes looked alike, but not very. The she-cat's were a fierce, blazing yellow-amber, ones that would frighten young kits should she ever meet any. The tom, however, had soft, pale green-amber eyes that had a friendly shine to them. He wore a smile on his handsome white-muzzled face, and his white paws stepped with an energetic pace. The she-cat was very different. She sulked along, her ears not pointing any direction really, but just standing rigid on her head. Her steep nose bridge ran to a slanted grey-pink nose, which was angled slightly forward. Her black ears were elegantly pointed, with ruffs of fur on the tips, and her black-canvas body was lean and strong. The two looked strange together, and yet somehow right. They were obviously related by the similar build of their bodies and the steep incline of their foreheads, but they also were so incompatible together, it could not be assumed they had shared either a mother or father. The tom was the first to spot the cat wandering towards a small pond. He pricked his fur-pointed, lynx-like ears forward and his white whiskers raised slightly in a surprised expression.
"Would you look at then, Gen? I would never have guessed cats go galivanting around back here. Doesn't seem right that they should be wandering so close to Clan territory, eh?" He said, smiling a little. The she-cat eyed the newcomer with little interest, only suspicion.
"Hn. He's none of our concern. Plus he's probably one of those Clanners himself. Pay him no heed or we may get ourselves into trouble." She meowed.
"Whatever you say, Genisis." The tom, Exodus, sighed.

Halo pointed his ears, wheeling his dial around. "Whoever is out there,, show yourself!" He said angrily, claws sliding out into the muddy shores geography. His eyes blazed with an unusual fierceness, close to a wolfs angry eyes. His fur fluffed out, Halo looked twice his size. The already large and muscular male would be intimidating even to a medium sized dog. After no noise continued, he relaxed a little and decided to explore.
Heading into the forest, the thick fog almost made him choke. "Anyone there?" He called out warily.

Genisis sighed crossly when the tom called out. Now look what you've gotten us into, Exodus. She thought. Flicking her thinly-furred black tail, she turned and beckoned to her companion with a paw. He bowed his head and followed, his thickly plumed tail dragged a little.
"Must you always do that when I reprimand you? Honestly, you can be such a kit, Exodus." Genisis scolded. Exodus looked up at her, his eyes sad.
"I didn't mean to get us into troub-" They stopped when the tom's voice came nearer, his scent coming even through the thick morning fog. She looked at her cousin and then back into the mists.
"We're just passing through. No threat." She called back, motioning for Exodus to follow her.

Halo leaped through the undergrowth to see two cats, a black one and white one, in his forest. He sighed crossly. "Okay, then." But suddenly, he had a way to get rid of his lonelyness. "What are your names? I'm Halo."

Genisis sighed somewhat crossly. The last thing she wanted now was a confrentation. She was somewhat peeved when the cat introducted himself. What is this, social hour? She thought, cringing away from him a little. But her cousin, no surprise, smiled and bounced forward energetically.
"I'm Exodus, and this is my cousin Genisis! Nice to meet you, Halo!" He purred. Genisis eyed him but said nothing. If looks could kill, cousin, you'd have died a long time ago. She thought grouchily.

Halo watched Gen closely, eyes hollow. "A pleasure, I'm sure. Where do you two come from?" He leaped up onto a rock, rippling his muscles subtly. Truth was, Halo was a pretty big cat. Maybe not intimidating to these two, but intimidating to some. He actually noticed how pretty this Gen was. She seemed like him-quiet, ornery...stubborn. Yes, he'd like to see more of her.

OOC: Hmm an interesting pair for sure. Let's say yes for now and see how it plays out.
BIC: Genisis looked up at the tom and blinked. Boring. Big tom thinking he ruled the world. Oh well. Genisis had other prey to catch. She flicked her tail to Exodus, motioning for him to do the socializing while she sniffed the air, trying to get her bearings in the thick mist. They'd need to be heading the right way if they'd reach the river on time.
"We come from a land east of here, by the Big Waters. What about you? Are you part of that wierd group of cats that we've seen around here?" He asked curiously.

Halo purred gently. "I suppose so. TrueClan, we're called. I'd say we aren't weird. We have a purpose." He said, looking at Gen quickly. "Heading somewhere? i may be able to lead you there." He leaped off the rock next to Gen, taking in her scent. His eyes softened casually, as they always did when he was around females. Halo then pondered the words 'Big Waters'. He must mean the Ocean. A huge wave of memory washed through him suddenly. He was standing over the rocks, watching a marvelous looking she-cat jump into the sea, a splash meeting her jump. 'Tide!' He had called. She never came back up.
The memory sent him off his paws and confused. Who was this Tide? Or was he warning her of the tide? He sat down, gasping.

Genisis blinked at the tom as he smelled her. She was repulsed by his prying, but she didn't care to tell him so. She looked at Exodus and shook her head. He seemed uncertain, which was odd - unless they were trying to keep something between them secret.
"We're actually not really going anywhere... you see... we're... looking for a place where we can meet one of our kind. But we just don't know where she is. Or where the place is. It's all rather confusing to me. My cousin Genisis knows so much more of our quest." Exodus sighed. Genisis looked at him coolly and then turned to the tom.
"I do not think you can help us, but thank you very much for the offer..." She mewed, examining his startled expression. It reminded her of a cat she used to know...

Halo dipped his head and looked away, embarrassed. "Very well then. But I'd like to see more of you two." He grinned sheepishly and Gen, and then continued. "Someone like you..." Maybe they knew this 'Tide', for they had come from the same place as her. But how did he know that? How did he know her?

Genisis, of course, was completely unaffected by the tom's words. However, her cousin Exodus scuffled his paws and smiled.
"Aw, shucks, thanks! We don't get many cats sayin' that to us do we, Genisis?" He asked, turning to his companion. Genisis narrowed her eyes.
"I fear the meaning has left this conversation. Perhaps we should be going on." It wasn't a question, but her words did not persuade Exodus.
"Aw c'mon Genisis, we've been traveling for days. Can't we just stay and talk a little while, please?" He begged. Genisis opened her mouth, half tempted to pull out the old "I saved your life" card once more, but she just closed her mouth and grunted. She knew she fondled over her cousin a lot - at least to her it seemed that way - and she couldn't deny him a simple pleasure such as company. But this tom was beginning to unnerve her.

Halo purred softly, feeling Gen's mood was a little cloak to hide her true self. Or was it? Halo was not a fortune teller, but he was fairly smart. "you may camp in TrueClan if you please. It wouldn't be a good idea to stay out in our forests." His eyes darted into the immense darkness the trees held. "you never know when silenceClan is roaming about." He walked next to Gen, eyes on her almost the whole time.

OOC: Yay, plot time! Duh, duh, duh, duh... duh duh... duh duh can't touch this! lol.
BIC: Genisis curled her lip and stepped away from the tom.
"Who's SilenceClan? Are those... you know...?" Exodus asked, looking at Genisis with eyes as huge as moons. Genisis eyed him but just nodded slightly. His jaw opened and he gaped at her.
"Wooow... M-maybe we should stay in TrueClan, Genisis, I mean... the day's almost over and..." He meowed, sounding nervous only because he didn't like being matched up against his cousin. Genisis sighed crossly.
"Fine. At least it'll give me some time to think properly while your mouth is occupied by other cats." She muttered. Exodus looked hurt and she sighed.
"Sorry, ya lump, I didn't mean it." She meowed, ruffling his head fur with her paw playfully. He smiled at her and then turned to Halo, pricking his ears.
"Let's go!" He exclaimed happily.

Halo purred. "There are a lot of friendly cats in TrueClan. You might get along with Authentic, Gen. He's like you. I guess. But no one ever sees him, he is always in the nursery with his mate and kits." He thought about the siamese cat always glued to Angel. And he thought about Authentic's sister, Shutterfly. "Or maybe you could socialize with Shutterfly, Authentic's sister." He looked at Gen closely, and then turned his attention to Exodus. "So, Exodus. From where you come from...Well, you too Gen...did you know a cat named Tide?" He asked slowly, aiming narrow eyes to the ground. He'd have to explain Tide to them so they could get a good image of her. "She is..." He thought about the Tide in his vision. "A mottled tabby female. With blue, blue eyes, and lighter brown swirls. Very pretty. slender build."

Genisis curled her nose a bit.
"No thanks, I'll keep to myself. Other cats are a bore. Just get in your head." She meowed, ignoring Exodus's look. He was a bit preoccupied with thinking.
"Hmm... blue eyes... rings..." At the same moment both Genisis and Exodus stiffened. The turned to the tom and the expressions on their faces were almost so alike they could have easily been mistaken for littermates.
"What was her name?" Genisis demanded. Exodus pricked his ears forward. Could it be? He wondered.

Halo blinked at the two. "Her name was Tide....I think." He had another vision: Tide was sitting there, weeping, over three dead kits. They had been slaughtered quickly and cleanly. She sobbed relentlessly. "It's okay," He heard himself say softly. "There will be more kits in the future...." He snapped back to real life, and gasped. Tide as my mate, and out kits died!

"Oh." Both cats said at the same time.
"My sister looked like that. Her name was Malachy, though. She... well, she dissapeared when we were kits. Never saw her again. We expected she just wandered away to die." Exodus said sadly. Genisis narrowed her eyes and looked up into the treetops.
"Yes. But if we've proved anything it's that when a cat wants to survive, they can find a way." She murmured. Exodus beamed at Halo.
"Genisis here saved me when we were kits! She figured out how to catch prey all by herself and made sure we were both fed!" He exclaimed. Gensis rolled her eyes.
"They were bugs, mousebrain, hardly what I'd call prey." She said.
