Destinypaw caught a few glances of conversations he'd shared with his mother, but she pushed them away. The past was too tangled, too confusing. She couldn't process it, and it wasn't really her business anyway.
"I'm sorry to hear that, Gogoolpaw. I'm sure she loves you, but... sometimes mothers just can't look after their kits anymore after their apprenticed. It makes more sense than what usually happens with affections sprending on to Warrior-hood." She mewed softly. She smiled a little. He is very smart, though, that is for sure. She wasn't sure if that was a bad thing or not, but she liked it.

Googolpaw shrugged. "I guess you're probably right." He thought, his voice tainted with jealousy. She still loved Devil's-tail, but she was her first and only surviving daughter in her first litter of kits. Suddenly, Googolpaw wondered who Devil's-tail's father was. Otherstar never mentioned him much. Why?

Destinypaw nodded. She looked at Gogoolpaw intently and then smiled.
"Well, now that the rain's stopped, I suppose it might be time to get back to camp." She mewed, standing. She looked over the plains of TrueClan and stiffened as the grey sky turned red and the bodies of many slain cats lay about as more were locked in an epic battle. She watched as TrueClan fought against their rivals, SilenceClan, her jaw slack at the graphic scene. Finally it dissapeared before her eyes and she shook her head, trying to calm her racing heartbeat.

Googolpaw watched as Destinypaw seemed to panic and then to relax. "What, did you see something?" He asked worriedly. Did she see a vision? He thought to himself.

Destinypaw's eyes never left the fields. She remembered seeing... she shuddered.
"Call it a premonition." She muttered, turning away. "Of this Clan's doom." She added so quietly he may not have heard her, but it didn't matter. She was too shaken to care.

Googolpaw froze. "So you do see things..." He whispered, mostly to himself. But the eerie thought of TrueClan being destroyed amde him shudder, a sickening thought he could hardly control.

"Things can change..." She murmured, staring into the field once more. Her eyes clouded. "I truly hope they do."[/b] She sighed before turning away.

Googolpaw nodded as Destinypaw turned away, and he figured she'd prefer to keep her talents a secret. After all, if it turned her into an outcast or labeled her as a freak she would never forgive him or his big mouth. "I promise it'll be the first secret I can keep." He reassured mostly himself before falling into a stoney silence.

Destinypaw smiled a little.
"Well thanks... I'll trust you with that." She murmured. Turning, she fixed him with her deep blue eyes and nodded. He was a good friend, and she was glad through the next uncertain, foggy moons that he would be by her side.
