Delicate would be the first word to come to mind when you take in Ebonymask's appearance. A slim build and royal features are the cause of many sadistic remarks to her position as a warrior. You would never expect such a graceful feline to be situated among the ranks of hardy clan cats.
Soft, silky textured fur covers her whole body, hiding well-worn muscles underneath. Her pelt is of a creamy beige color, sharply contrasted by ebony markings running up her legs, along her tail and splattered across her face and ears. Surprisingly, not a scar marks her body.
A sharp, angular face holds soft, caring eyes. Deep navy outlining the pupils fade gently outward to create a dazzling bright sapphire color. There is nothing more mesmerizing than finding yourself lost within those deep, blue, liquid pools.
She walks with absurd grace; as you would probably expect. Tail waving and head held high, it shows all the charisma of a well-bred cat. Unknown to many who take in her appearance, Ebonymask is always tense. She is the type of feline who expects anything and everything just around the corner. She is not one to be easily caught by surprise.
The soft, musical tenor of Ebonymask's voice is very easy on the ears. It holds all the caring nature of a nursing queen - but be warned. It can be as sharp as a knife when needed and can cut through tension like a whip.
However, the easily most stunning feature of Ebonymask's appearance is the diamante collar that wraps snugly and comfortably around her neck. Although she wishes for it to be gone (for it does nothing to help her reputation) she is proud of it's sparkle. Many a cat have tried to rip it off her throat, but in vain, for not many claws can cut through metal. It's dazzling gold color dances with the creamy color of her fur, setting off Ebonymask's exotic beauty.
Personality;;
Laid back wouldn't even be the right word to describe Ebonymask. She is a true dreamer, always looking to the stars, even in daylight. She is inattentive beyond caring of everyday occurrences, though she can be serious when need be - which is not often. She wanders wherever her paws take her, even sometimes wandering into clan territory.
She does not hold much attachment to anyone, though she can be a true friend if she wished. She is loyal and caring, though cowardly. A fear of commitment prevents her from making many friends - she fears that if she gets too close, she'll get caught up in issues she never wanted to be a part of.
However, she is caring beyond measure. Those scarce cats that she does befriend are in good paws. Unknown to many, for many avoid her at most, she is a bit of a flirt. She knows she is beautiful, and she uses it to her advantage. Although only when she is confident it will work. She is actually very shy at first meet, and, having a huge fear of rejection, does show herself up a lot. Especially in front of toms. Her mind is a complicated and tangled web of emotions and traits - even she doesn't know herself inside out.
She is a bit of a trouble maker; her inattentiveness being the cause. Who she really gets attached to are the down to earth cats - those who are stubborn or committed enough to really get to know her and stay by her in times of need. She usually keeps her adventuring near the neighborhoods. She usually does have special connections to kittypets, for she has experience on what it feels like to be cooped up in a twoleg nest. She never liked it that much.
What she hates is finding her own food. She never had much skill in hunting or foraging. She was brought up (in the first 10 moons of her life, anyway) as a pampered house pet. Her pride refuses to allow her to search for someone who'll teach her those very things, though once in a while she may try. Sometimes, due to her name change, she become forgetful, often referring to herself as Sapphire or Myth instead of Ebonymask. She's quick to correct, however.
History;;
Born in a luxurious home to two pedigree, and very vain, Siamese, Ebonymask used to have the life of a royal. Being an 'aristocat', she was very well cared for once she was bought for a hefty price. And she loved it. Being the replacement of a child for two adults, she was doted on. She got the best of everything.
One night, when all was dark and you could hear the crickets sing, Ebonymask, then dubbed Sapphire for her eyes, found her way out through a window. She was reported missing for two days and one night, a ransom even being awarded for anybody who found her. She doesn't remember much, though. The only memories she can whip up of that fateful night are blurred and indecipherable. When she returned, her view on the outside world was completely changed. She wanted more. She wanted to escape. Most of all, she wanted freedom to do whatever she wished and roam wherever she wanted. She plotted her escape.
One evening, while purring contentedly in the lap of Marie, her mistress, one particular word from the television caught her interest. Myth. It was like honey on her tongue whenever she whispered it to herself, and it gave her the drive to break out of the house yet again. Sneaking through the very same window, finally being re-opened by her owners after an age, she found her freedom. Her new name was like a feather in her ear, but once she got used to it, she never looked back.
The five moons spent wandering are not memories Ebonymask likes to look back on. Barely able to manage on her own, for lack of her hunting skills, Ebonymask had close calls with StarClan many times. Her ribs jutted out from her pelt, which was unhealthy and dull. Whatever muscle left on her bones deteriorated rapidly for lack of nutrients. She just came too close.
Stumbling upon a Badger's den (which was in-use, may I add) she didn't take in the rank scent the permeated throughout the whole area. Figuring it was a good place to sleep, the she-cat fell into a deep dream. That is, until the badger found her. Skipping the gory details, the black and white beast mauled her and left her for death. She was found by a ThunderClan patrol, and dragged into camp, where she was treated.She soon recovered under the careful guidance of the medicine cat. Although it was a hard task to prove herself worthy enough to become a ThunderClanner, she was allowed in, and became known as Ebonymask for her markings.
She was treated and trained just like an apprentice, although she was by now fifteen moons. By the time she was seventeen moons, gone through 2 moons of non-stop and vigourating training, she was made a warrior. She hasn't looked back.
