Bluefeather nodded, softly, eyes full of understanding.
Despite the recent news, Chasinglight purred as she viewed her Clanmate, Echosong, arrive late. She walekd up to the female warrior and sat down next to her. "Late, are we?" She said jokingly.

Shadepaw walked blindly into the gathering. He glaced around hoping he knew atleast one face but they all were strangers. It was his first gathering and his awkwardness was showing as he creeped toward a tree to sit.

[[Shadepaw can't be here right now, I'm thinking...since this was before his apprenticeship...I don't know.]]

Weepingpaw curled her lip slightly and her whiskers drew back, but she sat down. The ThunderClan leader was going to be stubborn. So be it. She would find out what she wanted to know. Selecting the most obvious looking ThunderClanner, Weepingpaw padded up to a beautiful tabby she-cat with haunting blue-green eyes. The she-cat turned and blinked softly, her ears flicking.
"Hello. I am Weepingpaw." The she-cat blinked once more.
"I am Moonpaw. You wish to ask of the medicine cat's murders?" She asked quietly, her curious gaze raking over Weepingpaw.
"Yes..." Weepingpaw meowed, a little embarrassed. Moonpaw sighed.
"Firestar may be angry with me, but... I sat vigil and helped Leafkit and Goldenheart prepare the bodies. Both cats had quick, clean slices." She mewed.
"Were the bite marks a little lopsided?" Weepingpaw asked casually. Moonpaw's ear flicked with surprise.
"Why yes, actually. I was very puzzled by that. I figured the cat's teeth must have been crooked... Funny, I never noticed that Tangleroot had mishapen teeth..." She mewed softly. Suddenly her eyes flickered and she frowned.
"Do I know you from somewhere? You smell... familiar..." Weepingpaw searched her memory for any recollection of this she-cat. She frowned slightly and shook her head.
"No, I do not believe we've met." She murmured.
Stormstar bristled slightly.
"Leaders and Medicine cats and Deputies! What next? Kits and elders and warriors! No cat can escape! We must rid the forest of danger once and for all!" She meowed. Her nerves had been shot by the horrible instances surrounding the Clans, and with only one life left... I'm on my last legs. I know that I shall not see the end to these shadows... I have foreseen as much... Stormstar thought sadly. But I want to do what I can while I'm still alive!

Echoflight looked at Chasinglight and nodded. "Yup, " She looked up at the moon with her long silverfur seemed to glow in the moon lihgt. She flicked her tale as she watched the stars glow with pride.

Featherrain looked away from Bluefeather, padding back where she was when the Clan started, She laid down.

Otherstar stepped forward to deliver her good news. "We have hope. Three newcomers, and a new batch or kits, apprentices, and warriors." She didn't mention the newest Deputy loss. The Clans needed hope. "Any cat is welcomed greatly." She added with a nod.

Boulderstar bowed to Stormstar. The RiverClan leader approached the front of the rock and sighed.
"The river is regaining its vast numbers of fish, so we are not in want of prey. Although we are impaitent for action to be taken, we ourselves are not suffering. We have gained a new apprentice, Weepingpaw. RiverClan is prosperous." She meowed, stepping back. There was a moment of silence and then Boulderstar stepped forward.
"We have many new apprentices this moon and a few warriors, as well. SilenceClan has kept out of our territory for the most part. Unfortunately I must announce the accidental death of our beloved Medicine cat, Crookfaith. Featherrain has taken his place in our Clan." The tom meowed, bowing his head.

"That would make four Medicine Cat losses, and three Deputy losses, and one leader. All in a little over a moon..." Otherstar muttered sadly. It was a harsh time in the forest for everyone, but especially Medicine Cats. It seemed StarClan had a vengeance against them. What did it all mean? Four, three, one... And then she shuddered. Maybe it would be two leaders. After Silverpaw, it went four, three, one, one. That meant four medicine cats, three deputies, one leader, and one medicine cat apprentice. What if another leader fell? Then it would be like a countdown... But to what? Maybe to SilenceClan's next, maybe final, attack?

Featherrain glanced at Boulderstar then Otherstar. Her world she knew was falling a part from under her paws and there was nothing she could do to stop it.

OOC: I never noticed that, Bclaw. That's ironic XD
BIC: Boulderstar stared down at the cats with calm but sad eyes. There was little any cat could do. He looked from the corner of his eye at the other leaders. Could any of them feel as helpless as he did? What were they going to do? He looked down and sighed.
"So are we just going to lay down and die? Or will we fight?" Stormstar demanded, startling Boulderstar. He blinked and looked at the old leader and dipped his head.
"WindClan wishes to fight. We don't like all this waiting." He growled. Stormstar nodded.
"RiverClan agrees. There's little to do now. SilenceClan will pick us off one by one if we do not unite to drive them out or kill them all." She meowed.

"My Clan has experienced repeated SilenceClan attacks...we know some of their battle moves. Perhaps ShadowClan can help everyone learn some of their basic tactics? Of course, ShadowClan wishes to fight, too." Arcticstar meowed thoughtfully, remembering all the times SilenceClan had invaded. Of course, she had only been an apprentice and young warrior in those times. As a leader herself, she had never experienced another attack, but some of her senior warriors could help.

"No!" Otherstar demanded. Shocked glares and looks of surprise penetrated her pelt. "This is our battle, not yours. The Clans must stay out of it. Understand?" Firestar stared at her in shock. Then he realized what she meant. TrueClan would be a waste of time and warriors if their ultimate mission was taken by the very cats who wouldn't join the Clan. He nodded silent agreement. It wasn't ThunderClan's battle.

Stormstar curled her lip slightly.
"Oh, and you've been doing a wonderful job keeping SilenceClan at bay! Are you so arrogant that you think you can beat them on your own? Fine. But if we are attacked again, RiverClan will fight." Stormstar growled. Boulderstar could feel his blood burning and he nodded.
"WindClan will fight, as well. We cannot just wait around for you to deal with this problem. Stormstar is right. SilenceClan is ever cat's problem, not just yours." He meowed, his eyes burning and his chin raised proudly as the leader of his Clan. Some of his warriors yowled their approval, as did a few RiverClanners. Some grumbled, though - unhappy with the decision probably. But that didn't matter. What mattered was keeping his Clan alive.

Featherrain blinked her eyes at Boulderstar, he wanted more death in her life. She wondered who would die next. Her father? mother? brothers? her friends? She had a shiver down her spin. This fight wasn't going to end well.

Stormstar nodded.
"Either way cats will die. More will die if we do nothing." She meowed passionately. It was probably true. SilenceClan could either be allowed to destroy TrueClan and then pick off the Clans one by one, or they could unite. Yes, lives would be lost, but the forest would finally be free.

"Fine then, attack. Kill yourselves. But I tell you, if you lose one more warrior out of stupidity by launching your own attacks, TrueClan will turn around and find another forest to save." Otherstar meowed darkly, narrowing her eyes. She yowled for her cats to gather and quickly led away the TrueClanners, unhappy. If her Clan was a waste, then what would happen? All she had worked for and wanted would be lost. She began to wonder if she actually wanted to destroy SilenceClan. Because if TrueClan did, what would happen? Would her Clan go back to their previous lives? She had none. Where would she go? She was always a Clanner at heart, but no Clan was her own. TrueClan was her own. If SIlenceClan was destroyed, then she would have nothing to hold onto. She wouldn't be Othernight. She wouldn't be Fallingfeather. She'd be a nobody.

Stormstar flicked her tail. Obviously our intent is lost to her. She thought, fuming. She turned to Boulderstar. He seemed youthful indeed, ready to fight for his Clan. She liked that, but she knew that haste could indeed lead to tragedy.
"I believe that if we just wait nothing good will come of that. SilenceClan is moving, I can feel it. They've killed, they've destroyed, and they won't stop anytime soon. TrueClan lies away from us and them. If they attack one of our Clans, it will be the duty of the other Clans to come to aid. Is that agreed, WindClan Leader?" She asked.
"Yes. We should at least not attack until nessecary." he sighed. He had nothing against Otherstar, so he would not deliberately go against her wishes. Unless WindClan was provoked, they would leave TrueClan and their petty quest alone. If they wanted to defeat SilenceClan single-pawed, then fine. He didn't care. As long as SilenceClan was gone, it didn't matter.
