The solid white leader entered the gathering hollow excitedly. She had invited all of her kits to come, all of which became apprentices. Artistpaw prowled at her side proudly, her gaze settling on the hollow is absolute amazement. for the others, it was just another gathering. But for the new apprentices, it was the start of a beautiful life. She her Clan of wily and clever ShadowClan warriors and apprentices down the slope and entered the clearing with a confident stride. They were the first ones here, yet again. she leaped up onto the Great Rock, watching her kit's eyes sparkle with wonder and enchantment.
"I can't believe we're actually here!" Chirppaw said in a high tone to her quieter sister, Artistpaw.
"Yes," The pure brown apprentice said, Amber-Orange eyes shining. "This place is quite lovely." Artistpaw was always to more eloquent, sequenced kit. Her words were properly put and fancy. "Can you feel the bombardment of beauty this place gives? Quite sophisticated and charming." She started to lick a paw absentmindedly. Chirppaw wandered away, waiting for more Clans with more apprnetices to come.

Stormstar arrived near the time Articstar did. Her weary paws and aching limbs were proof of her age, and she barely raised her head to the other leader as she scrambled onto the rock. It was apparent that she was growing tired. RiverClan must have a new Deputy soon... I have only one life left to live and I am growing weaker... She thought, watching her Clanmates join the ShadowClanners.
Shallowpaw padded down the slope and cast a glance at the RiverClanners. He wanted to approach one, but he knew it would be somewhat risky. He saw a small ginger she-cat standing beside a much larger, grey-brown tabby tom. Both had blue eyes, but the she-cat's were so stricking that they drew Shallowpaw to them immediately. They also looked very... sad... He padded up to them and dipped his head slightly.
"Hello. I am Shallowpaw of ShadowClan." He meowed respectfully. The she-cat turned slightly and eyed him, a wary expression on her face. The tom was the first to bow his head and speak, flicking the she-cat to signal she must do the same.
"I am Wolfhowl and this is Weepingpaw of RiverClan." He meowed, "Is this your first gathering?"
"Yeah." Shallowpaw meowed, shuffling his paws.
"It is my first also." The she-cat meowed. Her voice was pure and beautiful, and her eyes searching.
"You look a lot like a cat I know. Do you have any relations outside ShadowClan?" She asked curiously. Shallowpaw nodded.
"Yes. An uncle. My father was born in ShadowClan but my mother was born in WindClan. They met... and now they both live in ShadowClan." He meowed.
"I see." Weepingpaw said gently.
Boulderstar padded up the slow leading to Fourtrees, signaling for his Clan to go before him. he turned and looked up at the starstrewn sky. It's so beautiful... He thought with a sigh. Then he raced ahead and leaped beautifully onto the Great Rock, sitting down with a nod to the two leaders.

Chirppaw met up with Shallowpaw, eyes warm at seeing her friend. She realized he was with two Riverclanners. "Hi! I'm Chirppaw, Arcticstar's daughter." she said proudly, rippling her small muscles underneath her pelt. Another RiverClan apprentice walked up to them. He was pure black and resembled the old SilenceClan leader, shadowstar. "hi," He said in a friendly tone. "I'm Shadowpaw of RiverClan."

Weepingpaw turned to look at the cat that approached. She was young - mabye a little younger than Weepingpaw herself - and was very bouncy looking. So... the leader's daughter. Mourningwraith told me that female leaders weren't allowed to mate. I suppose it must be a falsehood or only a tradition among the other Clans. She thought, only slightly interested.
"I am Weepingpaw. This is Wolfhowl." She meowed, dipping her head. She turned to see the tom called Shallowpaw nodding to her Clanmate, Shadowpaw. This all seems exciting enough. Weepingpaw thought. She was glad she'd reopened the wound in her shoulder before the Gathering, so it was now wrapped in cobwebs so her mark was hidden. One less thing to worry about. She thought solemnly.

Chirppaw glanced at Weepingpaw's shoulder, worry clouding over her. "What happened?" she didn't want to sound rude, but she was very curious.

Weepingpaw shrugged.
"I cut it when I was in the nursery a little while back. I reopened the wound while I was practicing my fighting moves with Wolfhowl." She meowed. That's half true... She thought, recalling how Wolfhowl had purposefully wounded her again so that she could go to the gathering. He hadn't liked it but she'd insisted, and he was a one-time rouge. Wolfhowl understood the harsh realities of survival greater than most other cats that lived in the Clans.

"Ah, I see." It seemed like this apprentice went through a rough time. Kind of like me. My parents hit a big bad bump, but they are fixed now, right? she wished Artistpaw would come and tell her everything was alright, but she was halfway across the clearing, talking to the WindClan deputy.
"Is it interesting, being second i command?" Artistpaw asked the seemingly annoyed WindClan Deputy. she had many questions to ask him, in case she ever was to become Artsitstar. He shrugged uncomfortably.
"It's gets hard, but I love what I do." Badgerstripe said, wondering why such an odd apprentice chose him for 20 questions. "you must be Arcticstar's and Coilsnake's daughter, no?"
"Yeah. Me along with Chirppaw, Polarpaw, Lillypaw, and Dogpaw. They are all here tongith. how'd you know?" she looked at him closely.
Badgerstripe backed up a little. "Some ThunderClanners were talking of you the other day. I heard them while I was on patrol."

Lilypaw stood with her wide eyes on the other cats. She saw Artistpaw bothering the WindClan deputy, and Chirppaw was talking to some RiverClanners. She turned and blinked as she wondered who to speak to. She saw a young WindClan tom who by his build could have been ThunderClan, too, and bounced over, smiling widely as she approached.
"Hey there. I'm Lilypaw!" She exclaimed, her eyes shining. He turned and smiled. He was very cute, with his strangely-marked fur that looked as if lightning bolts had run over it and long fur on his head that fell clumsily over one of his eyes.
"I'm Jetpaw! Nice to meet you!" The tom purred.

Firestar wished he wasn't always so late. As he padded from camp, he began to think about all the events he'd need to announce. All painful, terrifying events. His golden pelt shimmered and mixed with moonlight to create a ghostly pale figure. On the one hand, if he told about the Medicine Cats the others might think ThunderClan weak and attack. Or they may take pity and be overly kind. Neither was wanted nor respected. Shaking his head sadly, Firestar headed his patrol of cats alone and in silence. He padded into the clearing and silently joined the other leaders.
Otherstar proudly walked through the night air, wondering what news was to be shared. Maybe the ex-RiverClan toms, and maybe the new kits. Good news was what she held in her paws, and she gleefully bounded off to the second Gathering her Clan would attend. Because good news lightened her spirits, she hummed a tune as she went. When she arrived, final of them, she happily pulled herself up onto the boulder.
Unfortunately Coilsnake was not nearly as happy. He sat in silence next to his son, the only of his litter to actually care about him. Polarpaw had a strange sense of regal charm about him, and he was an instant love. He was brave, loyal, and true in everything he did. Of a leader's blood. Canyonfur sat in silence several tail-lengths away from him, with his son Rootpaw. The two were also good cats at heart, and Coilsnake respected them.
Tawnypaw ignored the constant nagging of her angry brother, who was appalled that she had chosen a mate before even getting her name. And a death tom? A stupid, deaf tom was what Bramblepaw thought of Charcoalpaw. But Tawnypaw loved him. She cast a sorrowful glance at Ashpaw, who was listening unhappily to his friend rant, and shrugged his shoulders. Tawnypaw ignored her brother and sought out Charcoalpaw earnestly.
Thistlepaw cast a wary glance around, somewhat nervous. She twitched a little, impressed by the throng of cats so far. And it wasn't all! She wandered a minute, examining everything she could. Eventually, she saw Jetpaw and hurried up to him. "I feel lost..."

Charcoalpaw found Tawnypaw shortly after arriving. "I don't think Bramblepaw's too happy..." He meowed unsurely. since meeting Tawnypaw, his voice had cleared out and it was more like a normal voice than anything.
Artistpaw left Badgerstripe after a while and found her dad and brother. "Hi, Dad. hi, Polarpaw." She meowed. She felt the need to accept her father once more. After all, he was just a cat. you could not blame him. Chirppaw soon followed, sharing her sisters feelings.
Pandapelt listened to all the loud voices and excited chatter. She sat at the egde of the clearing, daintily licking a paw. I wish I could meet someone from another Clan, She thought. no one came over to her, but for now she was fine.
Arcticstar saw all the leaders were here and yowled for silence. Stepping forward, she began to share news. "My kits have become apprentices! We have dseven new apprentices:chirppaw, Artistpaw, Lillypaw, Dogpaw, Polarpaw, shallowpaw, and Rootpaw. They are all here tonight. Silverpaw, our medicine cat apprentice, has died from a mysterious injury called 'Locked in'. Other than that, ShadowClan's prey has been running well and our warriors are strong and faring well." She stepped back and nodded for another leader to go.

Firestar slowly dragged himself forward and signed, looking out among the cats. "ThunderClan has lost both Medicine Cats to murder of Tangleroot's claw. However, we have a new medicine cat and are fairing well." He said quickly and hurriedly backed away. No more of it needed speaking.

Shocked yowls echoed in the clearing, and Stormstar bristled. She barely noticed that Boulderstar didn't seem surprised, but she leaped to her paws, her fur bristling.
"This is an outrage! What sort of coldhearted cat would slay a Medicine cat? We should hunt down this traitor and kill him!" She growled with more passion than a cat of her age should rightfully have.
"Peace, Stormstar. We will find him, but chances are he has gone to SilenceClan. We must not be rash." Boulderstar meowed calmly. Stormstar hissed but said nothing. She glared down at her paws, her tail twitching with fury.
"Why would a ThunderClan warrior kill his own medicine cats?" Shallowpaw asked no one in particular. Weepingpaw had been studying Firestar, but now she turned to the ShadowClan apprentice and blinked.
"Maybe he didn't." She mewed softly.
"But they must have evidence!" Shallowpaw persisted.
"Mmm... and then again perhaps he might have. But maybe he had a reason. A dark and dangerous reason..." Weepigpaw mewed thoughtfully. She stood up suddenly, and Shallowpaw widened her eyes as she looked directly at Firestar and called out;
"What sort of bite marks were found on the Medicine cats?" She asked boldly. The other cats went silent and stared at her. Stormstar did, too, her ears flicking with surprise.

Chasibglight watched her adopted daughter quietly from the side, next to Pandapelt. "That's my...adopted girl." she said, proud that Weepingpaw would speak up amid many warriors. Pandapelt smiled. "She sure is smart. What's her name?" Chasinglight almost said Okurrein, but the apprentices Riverclan name came out instead. "Weepingpaw."
Bluefeather blinked at the news brought by Firestar. Three medicine cats. Dead. she thought, thinking of her apprentice, Silverpaw. what is Starcaln trying to tell us?

Firestar shook his head sadly. "Tangleroot was the murderer." He said softly, not wanting to cause a stir.

Featherrain sat quietly in the back of the gathering cats looking at her paws. She kinda wanted to be alone after all that had happened.

Rubyshine sidled up to Littlecloud, eyes blazing. The she-cat was feeling what Stormstar was feeling. "This really is bad.. ShadowClan, ThunderClan...who's medicine cats are next?"
Bluefeather sought out Featherrain hurriedly, whom she still thought was Featherpaw. "Featherpaw, where is Crookfaith? I need to speak with him."

Featherrain turned her head toward Bluefeather, her eyes started to water. "Crookfaith has drowned in the Gorge a few suns ago...I'm the Medicine Cat now with the name, Featherrain." A couple of tears came down her checks. She missed Crookfaith so much. She is too young to be by herself, but she tires her best.

Bluefeather blinked, shocked. Four medicine cats! FOUR! she felt suddenly lost, and swallowed tears. "I'm so sorry," she said quietly, shaking her head. She stepped away from the young medicine cat and stood in front of the Great Rock, voice wavering. "Four medicine cats have died in the past moon. Do you think this is an omen from StarClan?"

Featherrain glanced at the cats at the gathering, then back at Bluefeather. "Maybe the Medicine Cats should go to Moonstone to talk to StarClan...maybe they will tell us whats wrong with us?" Featherrain stepped up beside Bluefeather. "Enough of us has died already, I don't want anyone else to get hurt...I-I won't be able to handle it next time." Deep down Featherrain had a feel that StarClan was starting to hate the Clans.

Echoflight quickly hurried into the clearing of cats. She glanced around and took her spot near the other warriors. She looked around obviously out of breath from running here.
