The grey tom sat with his tail curled over his paws, looking out over the expanse of TrueClan's brush territory. He flexed his claws, flicking his ears and closing his eyes as he concentrated. One... two... He whirled around and darted out of the camp.
"Longpaw, what are you doing you crazy young un'!?" One of the warriors, a white she-cat, demanded. Longpaw didn't reply. He kept running, trying to ease the harsh breathing that escaped through his mouth. I've got to run faster... longer... I've got to get in shape. he thought determinedly. He wanted to tone himself so that he could out run and out fight any cat in the forest. Even a SilenceClanner. He was half way across the territory by the time he tripped. He was sent sprawling into a cloud of dust, choking and his legs bent into every odd angle.
"Foxdung..." He managed to grunt.

Caught in that cloud of dust had been Foreverpaw. she coughed from the dust and leaped back, tripping over Longpaw and finally collapsing on her side. Once the dust settled, she glanced over at the lump of fur that had temporarily blinded her, then made her trip. "Watch it," she muttered, eyes darkening. She dug her claws into the geography, audits watering but not obliging to blink. she stared at Longpaw for a while, studying his shape and features. A nice grey color, but not as luscious as hers. She licked the dirt of her pelt, shaking her dial angrily. "what's the big hurry?" She said haughtily.

Longpaw grunted as someone tripped over him. Geez, can't they watch where they're going? He thought. He sat up and shook himself off, glaring at the she-cat. He didn't recognize her, but then again he didn't know a lot of cats within his Clan.
"None of your business, prissypaws." He retorted, lashing his tail as he brushed dust from his shoulder with the opposite paw.

Foreverpaw glared at him, baring her teeth. "Watch it, mousebrain." She muttered, scraping the ground with her claws. "your the one tripping over nothing, blinding me with your clumsy dust."

Longpaw snorted.
"Yeah, right. Well at least I'm doing something useful. What're you doing, watching clouds?" He sneered. She was making him angry, and he didn't like that very much. Longpaw wished he could just leave her here but his mother had taught him it was rude to storm off. He sighed and wished his mom didn't teach him so much. At least if Destinypaw was here she could take care of the stupid cat. He thought mutinously.

Foreverpaw shut her mouth quickly. She had been watching clouds. "I was figuring out stuff." She said tersely, flicking her tail. At least that part wasn't a lie-she was thinking about her father, Stonepelt. He had disposed of her after he found out she would not rise to kill Talonstar, his brother. she wondered if he was happy, now that his brother was not alive anymore. She looked down sadly.

Longpaw opened his mouth for a scathing reply, then he saw her expression. His mouth closed again and he stared blankly at her. I wonder why she's so upset. He thought, flicking his tail as he tried to figure it out. He couldn't imagine, though.
"Um... you Ok?" He meowed awkwardly.
OOC: I just remembered he's Dragonstar's son... 0.0

[[Lol.]]
Foreverpaw looked up, swayed by his mood swings. First angry. Now somehow sympathetic. This was weird. "Um. Yeah. I was just thinking about my past. I've never told anyone about it, except for your dad..."

Longpaw said nothing. After his father's death, he didn't like to hear or speak about him. He had loved his father, had admired him, and had wanted to be him more than anything else in the world. When he had died, so had a part of Longpaw. Without his sister he probably would have given up. But she always had pushed him. He would never give up with her at his side.
"Oh. Ok. Sorry about disturbing you." He muttered, flattening his ears against his skull. He didn't like apologizing, but he felt sorry for bothering her. He stood and gave his pelts a few licks. I guess I should go... He thought.

"Don't leave," Foreverpaw suddenly said, feeling his need to get away from her. "no one likes me here. They don't know my story. Do you want to know my story?" She asked. It was good to tell people things, and Foreverpaw had a lot of things that had been left unsaid.

Longpaw arched the whiskers above his eye and stared at her. It was true he'd never really seen her around before. Or at least he had but he didn't remember ever formally meeting her. He could sense she needed to tell someone though so he sat down and flicked his ear.
"Yeah, sure." he murmured.

"Okay. This will be long, but I'll make as short as possible." she leaned in closer to him, her raspberry like scent dancing around.
"I was born a rouge, my mother named Tawny, my father Stonepelt. He was Talonstar-the previous Shadowclan leaders, brother. My mom died while giving birth. I had many brothers and sisters, but three of them died before I really got to know them. A rouge killed them. Only me and Heather, my ambitious sister, was left. Stonepelt always told me I was his favorite, to the fact I remindied him of my mom so much. He believed I would rise to kill Talonstar. But that was more of a Heather thing to do. I wanted to join this Clan ever since I heard of it, from passing Loners. I dreamed of TrueClan. My father did not like it. When I told him I'd be leaving, he disposed of me, like an eaten piece of prey, and focused on Heather. I ran across the hills that led to here, but then I stopped. I crawled into a Yew Bush to listen to them. Their convo went like this:
Heather glanced at her father, eyes blazing. "She's a coward, like the others. My own siblings didn't even make a mark on the rouge that killed them. Can you say, pathetic?" Stonepelt's eyes were glazed over as he watched Forever disappear. "I loved Forever so much! My own daughter!" He cried, shamefully hanging his head. Heather batted him with a paw. "snap out of it! she's useless!" Heather studied his eyes for a second-most of her fathers emotions showed their, first. Rage was pooling Stonepelts eyes. Heather stammered. "F-Father?" She asked. "She was always better than you, Heather. Forever and a Day." He slashed Heathers throat quickly. The she-cat fell to the ground, eyes open, blood streaming easily from the slash.
Foreverpaw closed her eyes. "I ran away then, and didn't stop till I reached camp."

Longpaw listened intently to Foreverpaw's story, his face revealing none of his thoughts. As she finished, he was glad that he had such honorable parents - even if Dragonstar was dead. The grey tom fidgeted a little at Foreverpaw's nearness, his eyes focused on her face.
"That must have been hard for you. But why would your father want to kill his own brother?" Longpaw wondered more to himself that asking her.

"You must realize, my father was a sick cat. He was not well. He saw his brother as the favored of his litter from the start, and thats why he ran away from ShadowClan. I do not know why he was so...messed up." she sighed.

OOC: I have no idea what he's up to sooo...
BIC: Longpaw looked at Foreverpaw for a few moments, just thinking, and then he shrugged.
"As far as I know who sired you doesn't influence who you are. Just because your father was a bit whacko doesn't mean you can't be a loyal and kind warrior." he meowed firmly.

Foreverpaw laughed a little at the word Whacko. Just then, a Butterfly calmly floated by. "Ooh!" She said in wonder, chasing it and laughing all the while. she would sometimes leap to catch it, but always missed. not paying attention to where it flew, she suddenly became face to face with Longpaw. The pretty insect fluttered away. She backed up cautiously. "I, Er...Sorry!" she said hastily, leaping through the woods. She stopped a few seconds later, looking bqack. she could still see Longpaw through the trees.

Longpaw watched Foreverpaw calmly, wondering why she liked the butterfly so much. She leaped about so wildly it was somewhat strange. Suddenly her face was only inches in front of his and he stiffened. He was staring straight into her eyes and he couldn't look away. She turned and ran away but he just stood there staring after her. Finally he darted after her and stopped beside her, smiling slightly.
"Hey, don't worry about it." he meowed.

"The butterfly led me to you. Magic." she said, grey eyes shining. "I'm warning you, Longpaw. I'm different from the others. Now that you've met me, you'll never be the same. Friends or not, You'll carry me. Forever." She blinked, fur dappled in the sparse sunlight shining through the trees.

Longpaw blinked and looked at her curiously. What was she talking about? He stared into her eyes for a moment and then smiled.
"Sure, I'll carry you. After all, the extra wieght will help me get a bit stronger, right?" He asked, grinning crookedly at her.

She laughed loudly, eyes glittering. "Perhaps. I'm not that heavy. I'm light-footed." she demonstrated, running around a few trees. She suddenly had an idea. "Bet you can't catch me!" She teased, bolting off into the forest.
