Arcticstar followed, worry clouding her heart. Is this more bad news? She wondered, sitting down next to him. "Coilsnake...what exacty happened?" she asked, fur ruffled.

"We met at a Gathering as apprentices. We fell in love then. We started to see each other secretly when we became warriors. Kinkfur was in love with her brother Hauntedshadow, so she followed us. Then we found out, both toms, that the other she-cat was expecting. Kinkfur came with me to tell Hauntedshadow of Icefire didn't. She gave birth the same night as Kinkfur, but Kinkfur under some toadstools. Icefire at camp. One kit, Toadkit, was sent with Hauntedshadow to ThunderClan so he could have a piece of his mate with her. I haven't seen him since we met, just the toms, only a few days after. I only recently saw Icefire, and now she's... Gone... And Kinkfur left to find her mate." Coilsnake said with a sigh. "The kits are Snakekit, Adderkit, Greykit, Whitekit, and Frostkit." He added with a sigh. Things were getting very complicated now. Too confusing.

"When you banished me, I didn't. And now I'm unsure about how you feel, so I'm logically unsure about my own feelings." He said, looking away and not wanting to meet her gaze. Maybe he'd find love again with her, but the way she had treated him made him wonder if she did care. How could a cat who loved another cat banish in cold blood without talking first? It made Coilsnake wonder.

"I only banished you cause I freaked out. I thought out whole relationship had been a lie. But you only wanted to protect your kits. I understand. I love you more than anything, Coilsnake!" she said in despair, eyes watering.

"And I..." He couldn't say what he wanted to, or it would only get him banished once more. "I don't think we're right for each other. Thank you for taking the kits." He said, bowing his head. He stood, turning and padding away deeper into his territory. He needed a long walk.

Arcticstar, once more, felt betrayed. He dumped the kits on her and then left her. How shallow! she knew he didn't love her. Everything of the days events piled onto her, and she felt very lost.
She felt as if she couldn't trust anyone. not even her family.

Coilsnake thought about Icefire. About Kinkfur. About Hauntedshadow. About Arcticstar. About everyone. All of his kits. Everyone. He looked up at the sky, realizing he had just broken up with the only cat who had still cared a little bit about him. Even if it was a little bit.
"Arcticstar, I love you. And I am a fool." He cried to the sky, knowing she would never hear him.

Arcticstar had creeped after him, and she heard his confession. "Really?" She said, slowly crawling out from the bracken. She sighed. "I'm the fool, Coilsnake."

"Yeah." Coilsnake said, smiling at her as he turned to face her. "And I'm the fool here. I didn't see what I had right in front of me." He purred softly, sighing. Maybe there was hope after all.

Arcticstar shook her head. "My life-our life-is a messed up, ripped up, played with version of a love sotry. But somehow it's all worth it." Her eyes hone in the darkening skies light.

"But at what price?" Coilsnake asked sadly.
"I'm sorry, I just loved her. Not like you, more like a sister. And she's gone." He said in disbelief. It was like a true love story.
And deep in the forest, a tom watched the pretty she-cat sadly. But he knew who could help...

Arcticstar was silent for a moment. "I'm sorry, Coilsnake, about Icefire. I'm sure she was very special to you." Arcticstar didn't know what else to say, really. She sat down patiently, head tilted to the sky.

"You're special, too. More so, you know." Coilsnake said with a purr and a smile. He nuzzled her gently. He really did love her, more than anything.

He blinked as she lay there, nearly dead. Obviously in a state of disrepair as she faded away. But he knew help, and she came in the form of a very close friend with herbs in her jaws and a worried glimmer in her eyes. She set down her leaves and set to work, hoping the silvery she-cat would be okay.
