Emberfur smiled gently.
"Perhaps. They could just be stories meant to sooth little kits to sleep. But I think that there is truth in every tale. I have faith that the tales of old hold true still, even in small ways. They teach us things, and in that there is understanding and in understanding breeds peace." She meowed, obviously remembering something as she spoke. She smiled a little to herself and curled deeper into her nest. She watched Jetpaw walk out of the nursery with a bundle of bedding in his jaws.

Lychee nodded and smiled, wondering if she should follow Jetpaw out of the den. She did and chased after him.
"I think your elders are a little off their rocker. Or at least don't ask themselves questions like that." She shuddered. Especially that Lizardfire. He creeps me out big time. She thought a little crudely, sighing.

Jetpaw didn't speak until he had disposed of the bedding. Then he turned and smiled.
"Yeah, aren't they great? I just love them! But Emberfur was always like that. She was a rebel from the beginning. I'm not sure about Lizardfire though." He meowed thoughtfully. Emberfur had been like a mother to him, even though he was nursed by one of the less-loving queens.

Lychee nodded and sighed.
"Almost sunhigh. Almost ceremony time?" She asked a little overly-enthusiastic. She was just getting excited. Maybe then she might feel less against the elders and more respect them.

Jetpaw looked up and sighed.
"You're right. I'd better hurry up or Emberfur will have my pelt fur her bedding!" He exclaimed with a laugh, darting towards one of the trees that had some moss growing at the bottom. He raked up a bunch and rolled it into a ball, grabbing it in his jaws. He flicked his tail for Lychee to follow and stumbled forward clumsily in his haste.

Lychee followed again with a smile, wondering why the apprentices did all the work anyway. Why not let the apprentices train and have the warriors with nothing better to do, do it? The Clans didn't seem to think those things through, but she didn't mind. It would all become much clearer after she had been named. She noticed Rambutan suddenly beside her and sighed.
"Why are you so happy?" She asked.

Jetpaw pelted into the Elder's den, not noticing when Lychee stopped to talk to her sister. Emberfur had left the den along with Lizardfire, adjusting herself for the ceremony or visiting her grandkits in the nursery or something. Jetpaw arranged the new bedding and then leaped out of the den just in time to see Boulderstar bounce up onto the Tallroot.
"Let all cats join before the Tallroot for a Clan meeting!" Boulderstar called. Jetpaw darted over to Lychee and then smiled.
"Let's go!" He said happily.
OOC: Who do ya'all want for mentors? Ashentail would be funny XD Remind me, is Ashen a girl or a guy? *is too short-memoriedness to remember*

Rambutan smiled as she sat down next to her sister, who was situated next to Jetpaw. How funny. Then she noticed six kits come out of the Nursery. Probably going to become apprentices too, no?

OOC: Eh yeah... She's a Queen. I think Adderstrike is open. Perty sure anyway XP Does Boulder-kins have an apprentice? I dun think so.
BIC: Boulderstar looked down at his Clan and smiled widely. He was so proud of each and every one of the kits - even the poor kits of Streakwater, who had lost a mother when she'd lost her memory. It seemed so sad. He remembered how distant his mother had always been because of who his father was. I can understand these kits... He thought sadly.
"Today we have many new apprentices to be named. Waterkit, Boulderkit, Stonekit, Shadowkit, Stripekit, and Shadowkit, along with our new members Lychee and Rambutan, please step forward." He commanded.
OOC: Remind me what Lychee and Rambutan's names were...?

BIC: "From this day forward, until you have recieved your Warrior names, you will be known as..." He took a deep breath, readying himself for the list of new apprentices, "Waterpaw, Boulderpaw, Stonepaw, Stripepaw, Shadowpaw, and our new apprentices, Lychee and Rambutan, will be known as Thistlepaw and Smokepaw. May StarClan guide you well on the path they have set for you. And now, for your mentors..." He meowed, his whiskers bristling a little with the amount of apprentices that needed one.
"Waterpaw, you will be mentored by Adderstrike, sharing him between yourself and Jetpaw until he becomes a warrior, which will be soon enough." Boulderstar meowed, smirking a little at the large, half-tailed apprentice's broad grin. He turned to Adderstrike and nodded, "I know you are a paitent and wise teacher. May you pass on your knowledge to Waterpaw, as you have done with Jetpaw so far." He meowed, watching the apprentice as he wriggled happily in place.
"Stonepaw, you will be mentored by Badgerstripe." Boulderstar meowed with a nod. He turned to Stripepaw.
"And you, Stripepaw, will be mentored by Sparkstone. Shadowpaw, your mentor will be Hawkflight. Thistlepaw, you will be mentored by Streakwater, and Smokepaw, you will be mentored by myself." Boulderstar meowed, dipping his head. He sighed, hoping that no one would tread on his tail about his decisions. There were too many apprentices to be getting whiny.
