Rubyshine nodded, her eyes staring into those beautiful blue eyes. "Thyme knows. He senses it. That apprentice is smart/. He won't tell, though." She fiddled her paws. What now? "Sooo..." She began awkwardly.

"I don't know, things just seem a little...different now. Which they are." She nuzzled him.
"Sorry. I'm just being weird." She purred and stared at the glimmering water, it's beauty refelcting her and LittleCloud's images.

Littlecloud stiffened but said nothing. He loved being this close to Rubyshine, but he was uncomfortable with admitting it. He tentatively leaned forward and licked her muzzle gently.
"It doesn't have to be wierd. We love each other. There's nothing truly wrong with that. Sometimes laws are meant to be broken. If this is fate, who are we to challenge it?" He asked, smiling at her. Perhaps that was wishful thinking... but still.

"Exactly. It could be Starclan's wish." She sighed and leaned against him. she felt great right now, like she had grown wings and she was in this beautiful place with a handsome cat, which she was! Everything was right, yes wrong...
"It was so hard collecting herbs with you, sleeping in the same den with you, all that stuff, and not being able to tell you my true feelings." She felt a bit of pain clogged her wrong happiness.

"Things will still be awkward. We can't act like...mates...in the Clan. We'll have to go, say here." It was as if they were in two different Clans! Why oh why could Medicine Cats not have mates? It was so cruel!

Rubyshine nodded assuringly. "Forever," she sighed, voice light as air. Closing her eyes, she realized she had everything she ever wanted. Why did she feel so...bad?

Trust me, Fox and Other are about as easy on love as ever. StarClan is the only one you have to fear in a relationship like this. And are you talking kits soon? xD ]]

"Well I don't think that'd happen, but we might be in big trouble." He sighed. Although Otherstar had had kits, despite the code that stated that female leaders could not have kits, and so maybe she'd understand? Maybe.

Speak of the devil was a saying Otherstar found most amusing, yet her oldest did not. But aside from name-calling, Otherstar had heard every word. But she did not care. Part of her debated not even showing herself, but they needed to know they had to be accepted.
"Littlecloud, Rubyshine, it's okay. I heard everything." She said, coming and sitting down next to Rubyshine, but not between the two.
"As you know, I loved Foxtail like a mother. She was my elder and my better in so many ways. She also taught me two important things you may want to know." She said, smiling. Foxtail had once been a Medicine Cat, for RiverClan, and now was dead and walking with starry warriors and a glittering pelt. It was nice to think she was watching.
"First, she told me TrueClan is not a Clan. We are, but then again we aren't. We have standards others don't, and they have standards we don't. One is love. The other thing is that love comes before anything. If StarClan expected Medicine Cats to obey the law of no love, they'd be in trouble. Because everyone, and I mean everyone, falls in love. It's what we do about it that makes all the difference. I think pretending is the worst thing you can do." Otherstar smiled, thinking of Foxtail. Such a valiant cat.
"You may show love for one another, and no cat in this Clan can be angered, because we are not in it for others. If we don't live the way we want, we aren't living."

"You should get back to your kits, Otherstar. They need you." She purred, but she was shaking real bad.

"You need me too. Thyme said so, though I don't understand why or how..." Thyme was a strange son, and he seemed so disconnected. But of course, he was probably only getting used to be a Medicine Cat. Right?
