Otherstar was not in a mood. Her kits hated her. Devil's-tail seemed happy, though. But that was beyond the point. Her kits, the ones she had actually wanted, hated her guts. She was a failure to her Clan and to her own family. What did Chasernight think of her? Did he think she was a failure, too? Was he considering leaving her? Would he ever do that? Otherstar tried to use her technique of answering her own questions, but this time it was useless. She only wished she could answer her own questions. Then she might feel better.
Fallingfeather blinked sadly, thinking about all that had happened. Now she was going to have its with a tom who had a mate and a family of his own. She knew the affair had been entirely on accident. Accident, right? Well, now she had kits to deal with. She felt horrified to think what he might do if he found out. She had been starving herself in hopes of looking normal, and maybe having a miscarriage. That would be much better. Then she could entirely forget the whole ordeal and go back to living her normal, SilenceClan life.
Otherstar walked to the Stone of Amnesty, sitting upon its smooth face. She wondered if she could ever make things right again. With a sigh, she suddenly felt a painful spasm. She blinked in confusion. She had felt this before. Yes, it was a contraction. Kitting. Kitting! Now it all made sense. The painful hunger, the fact she was still the same size, all of it. She was starving with kittens! Would they be okay? Another contraction rippled through her, and she squeaked a little in pain. Of course, she knew what to do and would be okay.
Fallingfeather felt another painful contraction, and she wished that she had the help of the Medicine Cat. However, if she had told anyone they would have looked down on her. After all, she was a Deputy and had to be respected. She watched as the first, second and third kits were born. She smiled, stroking them gently. They were beautiful. But a shadow fell across her as she dreamed of names. Before she could do anything, the kits' father had taken up the firstborn, a tom Fallingfeather had named Shadowkit. "Wait!" She cried out, but it was too late. He snapped the young kit's neck, angered. Fallingfeather could scarcely believe it. She stood shakily, leaping at him. "How could you?" She shrieked, clawing at him. She watched as she took away each of his lives. "Shadowstar, how could you?"
Otherstar wailed as she felt another contraction. She shrieked again, trying not to be too loud and disturb the Clan. If only she didn't feel like such a failure. As she went through contractions, she vowed that she would be the best mother these kits could have. It was a vow she knew she could not break.

Chasernight had been walking around, very lonely. He felt very disconnected from his own mate! The one he loved. Chasernight's white-gray canvas glowed in the evening dim light, and his paws made soft prints in the muddy geography. He then remembered it was New-Leaf. The time for rebirth. Why do I fell so old?. He put his dial down, staring at the ground. Every once in a while he swore he could see another cats prints. He sniffed deeply, the the newleaf air always got him stuffy. He could barely smell at all. He suddenly felt lost. Tossing his visage up, he realized he was approaching the Stone of Amnesty. Was that a shriek he heard? Was their a bird worth hunting for around here? He picked up his pace, digging his claws in the geography. His white painting was blown in the sudden wind from his speedy travels. He suddenly recognized the spotty paw prints in the mud. Otherstar!!![/]i. He slid to a stop, mud spattering his bodice. He then picked up pace again, and soon found her on the Stone, and she was obviously having contractions. Kits! He thought. "Otherstar!" He cried, scrabbling up the stone. Not sure of what to do, He started sputtering out words. "I-I'll g-go get Ru-ubyshine!" He stammered, jumping off the stone.

"No, I'm okay." All she really wanted was for Chasernight to stay with her. She felt another contraction and she hissed painfully. "Maybe. Go get Rubyshine and Thyme. He should learn this stuff too." She said, thinking of her son. Why had he changed his name? Did he feel disconnected from his Clan? Was that her fault? She felt saddened at the thought. More contraction rippled through her, and the first kit was born. He was a soft, dark blue-silver kit with a darker ring along his back. Otherstar smiled happily, licking him as another contraction rippled through her.

Chasernight rushed into camp. "Runyshine! Thyme! Itherstar needs you!" The red-brown medicine cat rushed around her den for a minute, stopping suddenly. "What is happening to her!" She shrieked, worried. "She's having kits. Hurry!" He racd out of camp, the medicine cat following. They arrived at the Stone of Amnesty, and Rubyshine scrabbled up onto the Stone. "Don't worry, Otherstar, everything will be fine. Everything." She set down some coltsfoot. "Your breath will be coming out very short, and it will be hard to get some oxygen, after the kits are born. It these directly after you think you gave birth to the last one. Then, once they start nursing, eat these boarge leaves. They'll supply milk for them."

Thyme followed his mentor, not so much in a hurry as he was just running fast. As he got there, he saw his mother kitting. He felt somewhat sad that she would think of having more kits, and ignoring him.Otherstar whimpered as another kit was born. He was a blue, handsome and strong. She smiled, licking him. Soon another kit came, a she-cat that was a light brown with white spots. The fourth was a black male. It seemed a lot of males, just like the time before. The next kit was a light silver tom. The sixth was a faded dark brown she-kit. The seventh came, a silver she-kit with white paws. Eighth was a creamy red-brown she-kit, and the ninth was also a she-kit with a white pelt all but for one black ear. She was extremely small. Nine kits! It had to be a forest record! She smiled, looking happily up at Chasernight. "They're beautiful."

Chasernight nodded. "Yes. nine kits!!" He was very proud. Otherstar feel exhausted. He looked over at Rubyshine, his eyes worried. "Don't forget to eat your herbs," He reminded her gently.

"I've given birth twice without herbs." She said, but reconsidered. Nine kits. She took the Borage Leaves but left the other stuff, she didn't need it. Otherstar sighed, trying to think of names. She smiled, knowing the perfect names for each of them. "Ripplekit, the first, for the ripple circle on his back. Indigokit for his blueish fur. Fawnkit because she does look like a fawn, and Pantherkit, he looks like a black panther. Pebblekit, like a silver pebble. Stalkkit, the she-cat with faded brown fur. Minnowkit, her feet like little minnows. Applekit, the red-brown one, for her reddish fur. And finally, Littlekit because she is so small." Otherstar said with a sigh of relief. That certainly was a lot of kits to name. A strange motherly feeling overwhelmed her, and she felt an unknown love for these kits.

Chasernight nodded. "Beautiful names," He remarked proudly. Nine kits! He thought again. He truly was astonished at the number.

"This must be a new record in kitting history." Otherstar said, proud and happy and eager. "How are we going to get them all back to camp?" She asked, laughing at the thought. She purred happily, wondering if the kits might brign her family closer together.

Chasernight shrugged. "I'll go get Passion, Authentic, Shutterfly, Inksky and Twopaw to help.." He rushed away and returned momentarily with the four warriors and one apprentice.. Picking up Fawnkit, he nodded for the others. Authentic picked Applekit, Inksky picked Littlekit, Passion picked Indigokit Rubyshine picked Pebblekit, Shutterfly picked Minnowkit, Hundredpaw picked Pantherkit. The other two kits were left for Otherstra and Thyme.

Thyme picked up Stalkkit, and Otherstar struggled to stand up. Once she had gotten herself up, she took Ripplekit and nodded. "Back to the Nursery." She meowed with a grin, setting off somewhat weakly with her kit.

Chasernight nodded, suddenly worried. Would Otherstar forget about these kits, too?

-At The Nursery-
Otherstar set down her kits and gingerly guided them to her belly with a smile. She looked up at her mate and sighed. "This time I condemn myself to the Nursery. Seadog and Nightfall will run the Clan for now." She said with a smile and a laugh. It was for her kits' own good that she stay with them this time, instead of abandoning them like the past two litters.

Angel blinked open her eyes and looked at Otherstar. She was startled by the number of kits that she had. She sighed and curled her paws beneath her chest. Her own kits were mostly sleeping, and she smiled down at them. Memory and Bane were curled over each other, a mixture of black and white pelts. She licked Bane's head gently, and he let out a soft but throaty purr.

[[Is it about time for Angel's kits to open their ears/eyes? I think so..]]
Chasernight nodded. "Remember, don't forget to talk to our first litter...."

At first she thought about Devil's-tail, but she quickly realized that wasn't her first litter with Chasernight. Taht was definitely what he meant. "If they visit me, I'm stuck here with nine kits for a while." She couldn't pass off nine kits to a queen, as only nine kits could possibly suckle at a time. This time she really was stuck in the Nursery.

OOC: Yeah I guess...
BIC: Memory lay beneath her brother, feeling itchy and fidgety. She frowned, then slowly let her eyelids stretch. A flash of color lit her vision, and this was nothing like the dreams and memories she had experienced before. She opened her eyes fully and made a soft sound of surprise. This memory was empty of new feelings and thoughts, and the white paws before her were her own. Memory looked up at her mother, whose face was gentle and happy. She had seen it in her dream-wanderings, and it looked so much more vivid and real in her own thoughts. She blinked and turned to take everything in. She looked up and saw her brother's head just beside her own.
"Bane." She mewed softly, then she closed her eyes.

Road woke up, also. His eyes suddenly hurt, and he could actually here what was going on! He heard mewls of other kits. He got up quickly, looking around, amazed. His mother was a beautiful sh-cat, better in real life than in his thoughts. "Mom." He said simply, and then looked at the kits next to him. Their mother seemed to have an heir of leadership around her. "You. Leader? Name?"

Death continued to struggle and fidget, his eyes remaining closed. Moon also did not open his eyes for quite some time. Eventually, Death settled down and cracked open his own eyelids to a blindingly colorful world devoid of blood and pain. He looked around, and saw a small tom next to him. The kit wasn't as small as he was, but he was certainly a cat of interest. Death eyed him up and down, prodding him gently. The yellow tabby tom opened his eyes and cast his gaze up at Death. The kits eyes were all blue, and would remain that way for several more moons. Death's were a deep, oceanic blue. Moon's was one dark blue eye and a lighter blue eye. He cocked his head to one side, instantly knowing he was not Death's ruler. He was Death's follower.
