Whisper crouched on the Black Rock, her tail curled around her forepaws and her muzzle resting against its tip. Her emotionless blue eyes stared out at the camp. It was a warm day, and for that she was somewhat glad. It was better than foggy or rainy or wet or humid or cold. Whisper always felt better when it was warm. It reminded her of... She shook her head and remembered what she had come here to do. It was strange, being the leader. She was no longer taking orders, but giving them. She'd need to take extra precautions and make sure all cats knew her methods well. Otherwise they'd all fail as bad as they had with the previous leaders. Unless it can be proven that the leaders themselves were the failures. Whisper thought.
"Let all the cats of SilenceClan gather in the clearing for a meeting!" Whisper called out. Her yowl was strangely monotonous, but high-pitched and silvery. It held a trace of the true voice of Whisper.

[[What if Whisper was her mentor? She'd probably die of excitement... >.< ]]
Speckledkit bounded happily out of the Nursery, eager to be rid of that horrible place. Mother gone, father... She did not know. Now was a time for change. She could become a new figure, one with more power and respect. Maybe even come closer to being like her idle, Whisper. She had even started to think of her parents and family as never existent. Because to her, they weren't. She smiled, proud for blocking some emotion. And I'll go back to that pool when I become an apprentice. She thought happily.

Crowmurder slinked silkily out of the medicine den, listening to her faithful leaders words. Could this be the final attack? Everyone knew SilenceClan would win. A modern fact. Boy, has SilenceClan gone through a lot. Disloyal leaders, warrior loss, stupid arguments and battles, although Whisper did supreme in her own battle against Sweepingwind. Where was he now? He had probably changed his name and joined some whimsy Clan to redeem his name. Pitiful. The Medicine Cat of SilenceClan knew she'd have to collect herbs for the final battle if her Clanmates would survived. She had learned well even after she had no mentor to teach her. She didn't know much as any stable Clan medicine cat, but she sure knew a lot, enough to help her Clanmates. She might even know a few more herbs normal med. cats didn't know about, because even though SilenceClan's territory was unforgiving, useful herbs could be found like Adders bark and Canncins leaf. Well, anyway, she sat down patiently and waited for her leaders words.

Speckledkit looked at Crowmurder, practicing being emotionless. "Hello." She meowed in an as-much-of-a-monotone-voice as she could bare through her excitement.

Whisper, sitting atop her perch, was watching Speckledkit closely. She'd observed the cat's distinct behaviors, the way she strived to act just like the leader of her Clan. This thought pleased Whisper in some small, dark corner of her being. She felt a small inkling of warmth towards the kit, but it faded quickly. No emotions ever stayed with Whisper long when they managed to slip through. She closed her eyes and stood, letting the action reek a cold silence through the camp. They were all waiting. Waiting to see what would happen.
"There are several business matters that must be tended to this day." Whisper meowed emotionlessly, her eyes surveying the faces of her Clan - her Clan. It was so odd. Whisper had been trained to obey orders, and now she was the one giving them. What a switch.
"First off I would like to begin a new training program. We shall begin teaching each student in the ways of killing, but I believe that to capture the essence of SilenceClan we must change the futile tradition of naming apprentices 'paw'. Our mighty Clan's first student shall be named today and given an instructor. Speckledkit, come forward." She meowed, her eyes averting to look down coldly at the young kit.

Speckledkit suddenly froze. Her paws would not work, not move forward. Something about the icy feeling, or lack of, in Whisper's voice terrified the young kit. Swallowing the last of her bravery in one large gulp, she padded forward in silence. She met Whisper's eyes with all she could, trying hard to to turn and flee. Such terror... Such emptiness... Such... nothing...

OOC: To differentiate I'm changing 'paw' to 'fang'. I know, it's wierd, but it's just... different. SilenceClan can't follow ALL Clan rules.
To not feel was definately a horrifying thing. But oh if they knew the turmoil that Whisper's inner heart truly was. She didn't believe in a way to truly kill all emotions. Where happiness and love are empty there was anger and hurt. Where there was no pride and life there was regret and pain. Whisper was cold as ice on the outside - but it was a harder thing to be unfeeling within her mind. But now all she felt was a tinge of anticipation - a weak little tugging at the corners of her chest.
"From this day forward, you will be known as Speckledfang. When you have proven your worth you shall recieve your true name. Until that day, I will be your instructor." Whisper meowed, her expression serene.

[[Speckledfang!?! Ummm... Mind if I... err... budge in??? xD Speckledfang isn't gonna be happy...]]
Speckledfang frowned, disapproving at the name. Whisper wasn't about to adopt Clan traditions, and that was fine, but paw had always been an apprentice, no, trainee, name. Speckledfang shook her head and sighed. Whisper would be her mentor, that was a highlight. But 'fang' was not... She really didn't like how that sounded. "Err, Whisper... I know it's Clan tradition for a name to end in 'paw' but, well... 'fang'? Wouldn't it sound, be, nicer if my... ummm... name was... err... Speckled... 'paw'? Or even... 'tail'? Or... what about... 'fur'?" She gulped nervously, ready to face any wrath or anger her leader and new mentor might feel as to her speaking out. I'm not very bright... she realized silently.

OOC: Well considering Whisper had to give up her identity when she began her training I don't see what the big deal is. In my opinion SilenceClan apprentices are lucky they aren't being name something completely different. I'm sure Speckled"fang" would rather be called that then just "fang" since that wouldn't fit her very well.
Whisper stared down coldly at Speckled"fang". She was beginning to rethink training this apprentice. If such a thing as a name could be so important, then perhaps this kit wasn't proper material at all.
"Your name now does not matter as it will be changed later. Besides..." Whisper curled her lip slightly, "Some cats didn't have the privilege of keeping their first name at all. I would advise you not to complain. The path to true power is through killing off weakness, and holding on to a petty thing like a name is a true weakness." She meowed, a hint of her ever-fiery temper showing through. Her cold eyes flashed for a moment, but then her face relaxed and she was emotionless again.
"Have a seat with the other apprentices now." She meowed calmly.

[[No, I think the name is awesome. I just need Speckledfang to set hersel as more of a good cat than bad. That and she's such a girly girl...]]
Speckledfang nodded, taking her seat humbly. Head bowed in shame, she vowed not to do something stupid like that again. As a matter of fact, nothing would matter to her anymore. Being Whisper wouldn't matter. Being Speckledfang wouldn't matter. The only thing that might matter was her breath, and even that was no longer important. She felt everything she knew flush away quietly. She breathed in, nothing more of importance. Now she could be like Whisper. Not like that mattered.

Whisper watched her apprentice closely. Any cat would think she had been born with the name Whisperkit, but that wasn't true. It was "obvious", but sometimes obvious things are not as obvious as one might think. Whisper stared down at her paws for a moment, allowing herself to remember faintly the cat she had been. Her rich eyes and shining smile, her eager paws and willing spirit... Whisper snorted. The cat who had been a ThunderClan apprentice was no longer there. Replacing that shining beacon was a dark and bottomless abyss. Whisper was not who she used to be and never would be again.
"Now on to the next topic," she began, turning to her Clan, "Although we don't really need firm patrols, I wish to set up three fighting squads. These squads will be assigned a captain, and that captain will make sure all their missions are fulfilled. We have not the numbers or strength for full-on battle, so we shall begin striking when and where the enemy is weak. We can no longer risk open war; we need to think more before we act." This speech may have been more insperational if the voice speaking it had displayed interest. But Whisper's monotone voice made her words sound matter-of-fact. Even if the effect wasn't heart-stirring and tail-twitching, it had a relitively good effect; it was believable. The way Whisper spoke it made it seem like it was an obvious thing. But then again, obvious was not really a word that described anything related to SilenceClan's new leader.

Speckledfang blinked. Patrols. Weak. Fighting Squads. If we fight. Speckledfang wondered if she would ever be able to fight. It seemed that their lack of numbers would keep them from fighting. She watched Whisper speak and had an idea. "Whisper, ThunderClan is weakest. Their loss of their leader has left them sad and confused. Their new leader is also confused." She spoke in monotone and very quiet.

Whisper's eyes flew instantly to her apprentice. She listened without much emotion, but then blinked and nodded.
"That is a very valid point. ThunderClan will definately have to be one of our main targets." Whisper said.

Speckledfang did not smile nor nothing at the idea receiving some form of praise. Glad she sees it my way. She thought without much more than that.

Renegade sat quietly beside his sister, Chaos. He wasn't sure what to think about all this. Maybe his sister would become a Captain? That wouldn't surprise him. She was smart and pretty strong and well adapted to the murderer's life. He, on the other paw, was only muscle. He wasn't clever or very good at anything really. Anything but fighting. He was stupid, slow, not very quick to speak his mind. At least that's what Chaos always told him. He could see by the flicker in his sister's eyes that she was formulating a plan.
"And what of TrueClan, leader?" She asked in a slightly uninterested voice, "They are the only Clan that look for something beyond their own benefit. I would think they would be an important factor." She meowed.
"Yes," Whisper meowed monotonously, "TrueClan is first on the list. The best of our fighters and stratagists will focus their power on them. The second best will focus on ThunderClan. The third will be sort of a rag tag group of cats that strike the remainder of the Clans. Any questions?" She cocked her eyebrow slightly.

[[Speckledfang would make a good Deputy... She's young, but she's still pretty smart. If you want, she could be. Your call.]]
"Yes." Speckledfang meowed, rising. "We do hold TrueClan as our most hated. But I must ask you one question. Do we know of their strengths or weaknesses? We need to send several to spy. We must find their weakest points and strike there. If they are strong in the day, we strike at night. If they are best at fighting in the open, we pin them into a corner and then finish them." Speckledfang meowed, looking out among her fellow Clan members. "I suggest we wait to attack them until we know their weaknesses. They are our biggest enemy as they were formed to stop us. We take them down, we take down the strongest and most loyal cats of this forest. Then the others are quickly swept away. Easy. We can kill them faster than they can blink." She sat back down, licking a forepaw. The only signs of emotional life were when she spoke those last few words. The thought of destroying their enemies was as exciting as anything to her. However, she quickly blinked emotionless again.
"It is you!" She realized happily. "It's you that completes me."

OOC: I think there will be more than one deputy. The position of "Captain" is equivilant to that.
Whisper nodded. Speckledfang had proved intelligent, after all. The emotionless tortoiseshell she-cat who had somehow become the leader of SilenceClan was very pleased by this - though in a way only Whisper could be. She decided that she would keep a very close eye on Speckledfang. Perhaps one day she would be Whisper's sucsessor. That was a very big possibility, from what Whisper had seen so far.
"Hmm... that seems very rational..." Whisper meowed, biting her tongue as she thought. Pain always seemed to sharpen her instincts. How could they efficently get information on TrueClan? It seemed illogical that they would find anyone that could -
"I think I could help you there." Whisper's eyes averted to Chaos. The cold-eyed she-cat was smirking, and the tom beside her looked nervous. Whatever the she-cat knew, it wasn't good, that Whisper knew. She flicked her ear and narrowed her eyes.
"What do you mean?"
"Begging your pardon, leader, but I believe it would be best to discuss that privately." Chaos's lips curled back and she smiled a taunting sort of smile. Whisper felt a bit of fury chipping at the edges of her heart, but she ignored the emotion.
"Very well. That topic will be discussed later on." She meowed, hoping no one else wanted to contradict her. She was getting tired of all these complaints. If they were all so petty maybe she wasn't the right leader. She sighed. He would have done so much better with them. He did well enough with me. She thought ruefully.

Speckledfang did not blink at the form of what could be thought of as praise or a compliment. Nothing. She could scarcely think emotionless. But think she did, and she began to concoct a plan. Maybe she would tell Whisper. Maybe not. But by sending in the best cat at acting, the most reserved and removed cat, and the cat most likely to stand-up for it's self, they could create a suspicious yet entirely suspicion-free environment. Their leader would not stand a chance. At least not in Speckledfang's mind.

Shaking her head, Whisper twitched her whiskers.
"I have a few cats in mind to become Captains and for this... spying sort of thing. But I will reserve my opinions for now. Do any cats have anything to add?" She asked, curling her lip though there was no emotion in her eyes or voice. She didn't much care to be bombarded with cats that couldn't see reason. But then again, she was surrounded by many clever cats. Chaos and Speckledfang both seemed wise, even though her student was rather young. She will be a mighty cat one day. That I can see. Whisper thought with a little bit of smug pleasure.
