OOC: This gathering is started in a few days advance. I'm not expected Magic to show up with her WindClan leader, so we'll have to start without her if it comes to that.
BIC:
Arcticstar led her Clan to the sacred meeting place. High in the sky was the full moon, providing a spotlight on her ShadowClan warriors. She sniffed in deeply, smelling scents of WindClan, ThunderClan, and RiverClan, and her own Clan. She smiled brightly, she had always loved gatherings, ever since she had gone her first time as Arcticpaw. How long ago that seemed.. a little odd.
Coming to the clearing, she turned around to the cats she had picked to go with her. "We are the first ones here," She meowed, her pelt prickling with a cold wind. Could Leaf-Fall and Leaf-Bare be approaching so soon? She shivered at the thought, although her thick white pelt kept her warm. Looking around, she waited for the other Clans to arrive.

Stormstar padded into the clearing, leading RiverClan after her. Her grey fur was almost white in the moonlight, and her keen blue eyes with their green tints seemed to shine brighter than the stars. She padded forward and nodded her head slighlty.

Firestar was getting nervous - after all, this was his first Gathering. And the last Gathering, he had been there, had been awkward. The fact that Bluestar had waited an entire Moon to call a Deputy had meant that there had not been a cat as Deputy at that Gathering, and the surprised murmurs still echoed in the new leader's head. He had spent one day as Deputy, and then he had traveled to the Moonstone and received his nine lives. As Firestar, not Fireheart, he led his Clan into the Fourtrees clearing. Using the momentum from the run, he propelled himself onto the rock. A few scrapes up and he was perched, panting, upon the large boulder. "Hi." He meowed uneasily.

Arcticstar blinked. "Fireheart? Young Fireheart? Where's Bluestar, or Tigerclaw?" Her questions were relentless. Surely he had not become leader at such a young age.. She wondered if he'd make a good leader. She glanced up at the moon. Where was WindClan? She turned to Stormstar. "I guess we'll have to start without WindClan," she said gravely, wondering where the fast warriors could be. She wondered if Cedarstar or Magicheart was okay... could he be that Cedarstar had deceased, too? That would make two leaders in one moon, three in 3 moons if you counted Talonstar. She shivered. What was happening to the forest? She glanced sideways at Stormstar, wondering if the eldest leader now that Bluestar was gone would die next. She really hoped not, that would be horrible news.

[[Lets give the other members a chance to post... Maybe they could have a casual chat while we wait?]]
"Firestar now. Bluestar's body washed up on our shore of the river. Her belly was sliced open and...." Once again the bile rose up in his mouth as he remembered her body - just the fur, the innards all washed away. Something, or someone, had torn her open. The river had washed away everything in her, so that only her fur and skin had washed up on shore, not even her bones could be found. A horrifying sight, Firestar nearly tipped off the rock. He felt sick at the image placed into his head, that carcass so lifeless and hollow. He gulped. "Maybe.... Wait a little longer? They must be coming!" He sighed, plopping down on the smooth, grey boulder so as to not fall off.

Arcticstar flicked her ears. He must be feeling what I felt, when Talonstar was found hit by a monster.. She shivered as Talonstar's words echoed in her mind, right after he died in a dream. Arcticwind, you are to be leader. It is our destiny. You will travel with Bluepaw to recieve your nine lives.. She twitched. How long ago! Bluepaw had become Bluefeather, and she had become Arcticstar. It was so overwhelming it nearly knocked her off her feet. She glanced sideways at Firestar. "That's awful,m Fire...star." she hesitiated. "I was horrified when Talonstar died, too." She wanted to comfort him, but was too shy to walk close to him. Sighing, she looked into the forest. "WindClan is taking forever."

"Tigerclaw vanished that day. And a section of forest was bloody and stank. We think he might have... done something..." Firestar began to choke again. The image was so foul, imprinted firmly into his memory. How could he forget? Not after all this. Well, he had nine lives, he was leader, and it was over. Somehow, though, he had a sudden urge to visit twolegplace. Nt return, just visit...

Arcticstar blinked. "Vicious," she murmured, wondering what had happened to the tabby warrior. She had never trusted him; he had looked too ambitious at gatherings, too strong during battles, and too.. crazed. He was crazed to be leader. Perhaps he had killed Bluestar for the position? That would be so malicious... she shook to image out of her head, an image of Tigerclaw slicing Bluestars belly open and throwing her into the gorge to drown. How could any cat do that to their respected leader? Suddenly, she felt a chill. Had Brokentail been planning to kill Stormcloud to get the deputy position? Had he thrown Talonstar in front of the monster?

Firestar listened to Arcticstar. He remembered the part that seemed strangest to him. Bluestar had waited an entire moon, before electing him Deputy the day she was found dead. Absolutely horrible. And he had let Tigerclaw get away with it. How could he have done that? He should have turned the position down, but it had not felt right. Tigerclaw as Leader? That would've been too much. Maybe something else got Bluestar. He hated the thought that she was dead, and that a Clan cat had killed her. He decided to take a walk after this Gathering, and a long one at that.

Stormstar sat listening to the other leaders, her eyes bleary and unfocused. Bluestar had been such a good friend and a magnificent leader. She feared for all of their lives, no matter how many they each had. The forest was being consumed by shadow - soon, nothing would be left beneath the stars of Silverpelt.
"WindClan have been too flimsy lately." She meowed dissaprovingly, flicking her thick grey tail. She was not in the mood to sit about and wait for a bunch of cats that might not show.
OOC: Should we have WC's Deputy come instead of Magic<star>?

((WC doesn't have a deputy...))
Arcticstar nodded. "Yes, lately it seems they arrive later and later each time. This time, they don't show up at all." She wondered if some sort of epidemic was running through there Clan, or if they were driven out or something. "If they come, they better have a good excuse!"

OOC: Well it should! Who's available for the position? *I'd want Boulderclaw to be 'cause that's his like dream 'n' stuff but alas, prob'ly won't happen*
BIC: Stormstar nodded absentmindedly. She stared off into the forest and sighed softly.
"Do you think... this TrueClan will come here?" She asked, turning to the other leaders.

[[Boulderclaw would be a fine choice, Aikoa. Let's put him up! xD]]
Arcticstar blinkd. Talonsatr's words returned, yet again. We must unite with TrueClan to defeat SilenceClan. His voice rang in her ears; she almost forgot to answer Stormstar's question. "Er... I don't think so." A pretty lame answer, but it'd be strange for said TrueClan to come at a Clan gather. Just unnatural, what would they say?

OOC: You think so? BIC: Stormstar shook her head. "I am unsure. There's something stirring in the air... and I believe TrueClan is right in the middle of it. I cannot say RiverClan will join them, but I also cannot say we have much alternitave." She meowed gravely. SilenceClan outmatched them, and only united would they stand any chance.

Firestar did not like this talk of TrueClan and SilenceClan - would he join them? Were they a major threat? He didn't know what to say, so he tried to change the subject. "We should probably start now?"
-
Canyonpaw looked out excitedly, his first Gathering at home! He felt overjoyed - new name, new apprentice, new life. But same old, beautiful love... Mistrose was so perfect for him, and he remembered that every waking day in ShadowClan. He sat silently, expectantly, waiting for the Gathering to start.

Mistrose had never attended a Gathering before. Her eyes roved over the scene with intense interest. She paused as she noticed a grey form sprinting towards Fourtrees. The WindClanners had arrived? She froze. Something about seeing her old Clan made a shiver run down her spine. Would her mother...?
Boulderclaw led the WindClanners over the rise. He turned and glared at them.
"Don't say anything about Magicstar." He growled. Their leader had sprained one of his legs pretty badly, and had asked Boulderclaw to stand in for him. It had been a surprise, for sure, but Boulderclaw couldn't help but feel gratified. Maybe his dream of becoming Deputy was going to be a realization, after all. He paused at the foot of the Great Rock and warily leaped onto it. The other leaders seemed shocked, to say the least.
"Magicstar cannot come and so I took his place." Boulderclaw meowed. Stormstar, RiverClan's leader, narrowed her eyes.
"You were an apprentice the last time I saw you." She said doubtfully.
"I'm Boulderclaw now." He meowed curtly. He was well aware he was extremely young, but he was not much younger than Fireheart. He nodded to the ThunderClanner, wondering if Bluestar was Ok.

"Well, we hope Magicstar will be well." Firestar meowed kindly, not at all curious. After all, Boulderclaw seemed just as new as he was at this, and so why be alarmed? "So now, we can start?"

"Yes," Arcticstar said, eyeing Boulderclaw carefully. she had seen him before, and he seemed proud and noble. He would make a good leader, if he had the chance. Yowling for silence, she nodded to the other leaders for her to go first. Stepping forward, her gaze proudly swept the four Clans below her. "ShadowClan has very good news to share," She meowed, her lovely, lilting voice ringing out through the clearing. "We have five new warriors and one new apprentice. Talonstar's three children have become warriors. All of them together are Mistrose, Canyonfur, Acaciaskies, Skyjay, Cloudwalker, and Darkpaw." Her happiness entered her voice as she called all of their names. She looked down at the five warriors- Darkpaw hadn't come- proudly. "Other than that, ShadowClan has been doing fine." she stepped back and nodded for another leader-warrior, too- to go.
Cloudwalker brushed his sisters pelt excitedly. "I'm glad to be announced," He meowed in his deep, smooth tone. His white pelt was fluffed out with enthusiasm. Acaciaskies sighed. "Talonstar and Stormcloud would be proud to see us. I like Arcticstar, but I wish Talonstar had called our names." Her voice lit into a deep sadness, despite her always high tone. He nudged her softly. "Don't worry," he meowed, looking up to Silverpelt to acknowledge their parents. "They are watching us right now, from StarClan." he turned to Skyjay, his brother. "Are you okay?" He meowed, brushing up against his pelt, too.

Skyjay did feel a little pride, and sadness, at this moment. He looked up at his leader and then closed his eyes, breathing a soft sigh. He listened to his sister and brother absentmindedly. He knew it would be best to comfort her, as well, but with such depressed feelings deep down, he wasn't sure he could do it. At Cloudwalker's inquiry, he started and raised his eyes.
"Oh, yes..." He meowed hesitantly, "It's just all so... so bittersweet, you know?" He sighed.
Stormstar stood up and nodded to Articstar. She looked down at the Clans and waited for the cheerings to quiet down.
"RiverClan has had both a troubling and rewarding moon," she meowed slowly, "Foxtail has dissapeared, but her apprentice Flameheart has taken her place, and has an apprentice... Runningpaw. We were attacked by SilenceClan," her eyes hardened and her lip curled, "But we beat them and they retreated. That is all." She meowed, nodding sharply.
OOC: If I forgot to put anything in just... add it or forget... I dunno. I'm not sure of much right now. *sighs*

Firestar gulped. He would go next. He stepped forward, feeling nervousness engulf him. Swallowing hard, he began. "Bluestar's body has washed up on our shore of RiverClan. We suspect foul play from one of our own cats." He did not feel the need to mention Tigerclaw's name. "I have been made Leader in her place. Prey has run well in this heat wave." Since animals liked shade, and the trees provided good shade, prey had been plentiful in the forest.
-
Runningpaw sighed, how he had so much to ask Foxtail. But she had left to TrueClan, and it had seemed neither he nor his mentor had told anyone. Shaking his head, he smiled proudly as his name was called.
-
Canyonfur smiled as his and his love's names were called, and he was just as happy to hear Darkpaw's.
