Taintedkit and his large size, large especially for his age, much the size of a normal apprentice by now, grabbed the rabbit. He tugged and dragged it into a corner, smiling at his mother.
"Come and get it, but you'll have to fight me first!" He came down into a playful position, tail waggling excitedly.

"Taintedkit!? What about the kits still nursing. I need to keep my strength for them so I can't play with you, so can I have my rabbit back?" Hollyleaf meowed flicking her tail in annoyance with her older son.
Featherkit ran up to Taintedkit. "What are you doing? Why did you take mom's rabbit?"

Taintedkit suddenly remembered the other kits. His mother didn't have time for him any more. His gaze flickered to his sister, and it suddenly filled with an intense hatred.
"I wish you were never born." He said to her darkly. He stormed away from the rabbit, leaving it where it lay. As he passed the other kits, Badgerkit looked sadly up at him. "I hate you too." He muttered to the black and white kit, who looked very hurt. "I'm going to tell Boulderclaw to make me an apprentice." He spoke under his breath, quickly and angrily leaving the den.

Featherkit flatted her ears at Taintedkit, he could hate her all he wanted but he wasn't going to be mean to the others. She grabbed the rabbit and took it to her mother, she looked at Badgerkit. "Just ignore him, He doesn't hate you. He hates me...He just may not like you for being my friend." Featherkit meowed padding out of the nursery and ran up to her brother, knocking him over. "Who in StarClan do you think you are, Taintedkit? huh...Your no leader or deputy to tell me or Bagderkit, you wish us dead, I don't care what you think about me but I will not let you treat him that way. Your just angry that I'm wanting to become Medicine Cat Apprentice isn't that right...Well if you feel that way then want me dead then so be it. I'm no longer calling you my brother."

"Good!" Taintedkit threw his sister off of him easily. "Because you're no sister of mine!" He cried, hissing and spitting at her. Then he padded over to a corner and sulked, unhappy. Why was this happening to him?

"Good!" Featherkit hissed back at him, walking away fast. She knew she wasn't supposed to leave camp but she did anyways. She looked back at Taintedkit once then ran out into the shadows.

Taintedkit kept his eyes open, eagerly watching to see if he could spot his leader or deputy. Either would be good, but he needed a Ceremony and fast!

Taintedkit, giving up, went back inside the Nursery. He half expected to see his sister, but she wasn't around. He sighed, meeting Boulderkit's gaze.
"What did I do wrong?"
"You yelled. You should respect her wishes."
"But..." Taintedkit couldn't argue with the wise tom.

Boulderclaw sat on a smooth, flat stone overlooking the camp. He watched two kits arguing and then saw one dissapear. With a sigh, the deputy stood and made his way into camp. He felt it was his duty to make sure the kits were Ok. He could see Taintedkit, one of Hollyleaf's kits he thought. The kit went back into the nursery, though.
"Now where oh where did the other one go?" Boulderclaw muttered to himself. He began to sniff the ground, making sure he was following the right trail. He'd find her eventually; her scent stuck out among the seasoned plants and other scents of the moors.

Boulderkit bounced around happily, Taintedkit leaping after them as they continued their game of tag. The brothers did not know they were related, but were friends anyway.

Sycamoretail slid in front of the she-cat, blocking her path.
"I'm sorry, but... You know what? Go tell... I can't stop you anyway." Sycamoretail would miss being a father. Boulderkit was such a great tom.

Taintedkit wondered where his sister was. He peered out of the camp entrance, and caught her scent on the wind. He bolted out to make sure she was okay - after all, she was his sister. When he saw she was okay though, he forgot about being nice.
"Still think being a Medicine Cat is fun? I could do it with my eyes closed!" He pretended to stupidly place a piece of grass on an imaginary patient.
"Seriously."

"I-I..." Featherkit blinked her eyes at Sycamoretail, then saw Taintedkit pad up to her, She narrowed her eyes at him, then glanced back at Sycamoretail, padding back to the nursery. She walked in to see Boulderkit happy as a clam, she smiled hiding the fact that he was her brother. "Hey Boulderkit...w-what are you doing?"

Sycamoretail followed, Taintedkit as his heels. The kit coughed and went over to the corner of the Nursery den, curling up and falling fast asleep.
"I was playing tag, but it seems that Taintedkit doesn't want to anymore." Sycamoretail sighed, watching his - no, Hollyleaf's - kit speak.

"Oh, yeah. That sound like fun. He must be tired, Boulderkit because he just went to sleep." Featherkit meowed to Taintedkit in the corner.
Hollyleaf woke up. "Oh my...I must have been tired." She smiled stretching. "Oh hello, Sycamoretail. How are you? Boulderkit, has been a darling. A well brought up tom."
