"I feel uncertain here because everyone treats me like crowfood...they look at me like I'm a bug that must be killed. I have no real friends and I'm sure I never will." Featherrain looked away. "I fear I'm not the right choice as Medicine Cat."

Mountainfur purred in amusement and smiled. "Is that all? How do you think I felt, a strange tom whose parents had broken the warrior code? They gave me such cruel stares I thought I was melting. No cat is mad at you, I think you're just scared." Mountainfur said, nuzzling his daughter gently. It must be hard for her, but he knew what it was like. She'd make it through.

Featherrain nuzzled her father back. "I think Taintedpaw and Boulderpaw has something to do with it...Hollyleaf is going to give birth soon, you must be proud."

"Don't change the subject on me. Taintedpaw'll get over it, and do you see how Boulderpaw is trying to get along? He smiles at you when you aren't looking, and then takes a scolding from his brother. I think he still wants to be friends." Mountainfur offered with a purr. "But yes, I am excited and proud." He purred, thinking of how great it would be to have another litter to bring the family closer.
[[How ironic that both of Hollyleaf's litters are growing up in this thread! xD]]

(They probably will be. lol)
Featherrain pulled away from him. "I-I need to go check on mom..." She meowed. "You may come if you want..." She grabbed some Borage Leaves walking to the nursery again.

Mountainfur nodded but decided to go Hunting instead. He nodded to his two sons as he passed, but said nothing. As he vanished from the camp, all fell quiet.

Featherrain padded into the nursery again. "Here, I though you might need some more Borage Leaves." Hollyleaf nodded eating the herbs. "Thank you, my dear. They sure are getting big...so are they going to be born soon." Featherrain nodded. "Yeah, any day now."

Silverkit swished her silver tail through the air and sighed, wondering what would happen next. The day seemed to have hit an all-time dull, and she was bored off her rocker. She looked a her striped sister, Stripekit, but said nothing as she realized Stripekit was just as bored as she was.

Hollyleaf knew she was due any day now. She was seeing all the signs as before and it was making her scared. She laid down in her nest to rest, then felt a sharp pain. "The Kits were coming!" She meowed making her first very hard push and a small white she-cat was born. She sighed taking a small break. "A she-cat." Featherrain meowed. Hollyleaf felt more pain come and she pushed again. A dark ginger tom. "A tom..." Feratherrain added looking down at her two new siblings. Hollyleaf made weak smile. She had more two beautiful kits to make her family bigger. She took some herbs that Featherrain gave her. She was beginning to feel better. "Were is Mountainfur?" Hollyleaf asked her daughter. "He's hunting, but don't worry I'm sure he'll come back soon."

Badgerkit shook his head and coughed in disgust. Kitting. He was glad not to have to be a she-cat. Silverkit rolled her eyes but padded over to the newborn kits anyway. "Names?" She asked with a smile.

"I-I was thinking of Whitekit and Flamekit...but We'll have to wait until Mountainfur gets here to confirm it." Hollyleaf smiled at Silverkit.
"You did wonderful mom. Just call me if you need me..." Featherrain meowed quietly padding out of the nursery without another word to anyone. Not even to Badgerpaw. She got to her nest and laid down, she was so tired. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.

[[Stripekit and Flamekit, mayhaps?]]
Badgerpaw didn't give another glance at Featherrain. He walked over to Hollyleaf and smiled, letting his love-struck self slide away forever. "They're beautiful, you know." He said with a smile as Stripekit sniffed Flamekit tentatively.

"Thank you, Bagderkit." Hollyleaf purred, then glanced at Stripekit. "Please, honey, not so close to them..."
Flamekit wiggled closer to his mother's belly, unaware of Stripekit.

"I won't hurt him, just curious." Stripekit meowed in embarrassment, slipping away to a dark corner of the Nursery to back into Shadowkit. Neither said anything but both were upset.

Hollyleaf sighed. She laid her head down closing her eyes. Mountainfur, Taintedpaw, or Boulderpaw should have came to her and the kits by now.

Boulderpaw turned to glance behind one final time. Taintedpaw was still out hunting. Good. With a sigh, he quickly slipped into the den. "Taintedpaw was giving me grief... Again..." He said, smiling at the kits.

Hollyleaf opened her eyes to look at him. "Grief about who, Sweetie?"

"About caring about you and Featherrain. You're all family, but he hates you for some reason. And now he's convinced I have to, too." Boulderpaw said with frustration as he plopped down by the kits. "Names?" He asked with a sigh.

"What your saying is he hates me too because I love Featherrain..." Hollyleaf sighed. "The she-cat is Whitekit and the tom is Flamekit.."

"I like those names." Boulderpaw said with a smile and a brief nod. He was glad that his mother might be somewhat happy with these kits, but he could never be so certain.
