Stripekit smiled, purring. Shadowkit hissed darkly, walking up to his brother Badgerkit and batting him on the head.
"Badgerkit is wimp." Badgerkit hissed, leaping atop his brother and wrestling him to the ground with ease.

Shadowkit rolled his eyes.
"Go suck on a lemon, you ain't my ma and you ain't the boss of me!" He sneered rudely, squirming out from under his brother and sitting snobbishly down well away from Hollyleaf.

Hollyleaf ears flattened down in sadness at what Shadowkit had said. "I'm sorry you feel that way about me, Shadowkit..." Hollyleaf meowed sadly.

Stonekit watched his brother angrily. He couldn't believe how rude he was! "Shadowkit, your just being stupid. Hollyleaf won't feed you if you don't give two pellets about her. Personally, Hollyleaf, I think it is very kind of you to take us in." Stonekit was inquisitive, and didn't see why his brother had to be so rude!

Stonekit nodded, glaring at his brother. All the while, Waterkit watched quietly, taking Stonekit's cue. "Yeah, Hollyleaf. You've raised us well, even if you aren't our mother." Shadowkit would be wrong to pick a fight with the bigger, more bolder Stonekit. Waterkit didn't fight, but she could be vicious.

Shadowkit hissed at Stonekit.
"Try me." He threatened with a smile. Silverkit stood up and stood between Shadowkit and Stonekit.
"No trying anyone now, hmmm? We don't need to bally fight every time we disagree, wot? Right, Hollyleaf?" She said, Shadowkit glaring at her but looking away quickly as she caught his gaze fiercely. Even thought Stripekit was youngest, Shadowkit was the smallest and he didn't like it one bit.

Stonekit smiled, pushing his siter away. He leaped, aiming to collapse on Shadowkits back and pin him there. It would be an easy move.

Shadowkit used his small size to slip easily away from Stonekit. Badgerkit suddenly leaped between the two.
"That's enough!" He yelled, Shadowkit stopping dead. Badgerkit was easily three times the black kit's size, and at least a whole Shadowkit bigger than Stonekit. No smart cat would fight him.

Stonekit nodded, wondering where this sudden authority Badgerkit surpressed came from. When they were born, Stonekit had simply been looked up to as leader from the group.

Silverkit shook her head, concentrating on helping her younger sister. Shadowkit growled unhappily. Badgerkit shook his head.
"No, ma'am." He said, sitting down and licking a paw. Even though Badgerkit could be big and intimidating, he was in nature like a big teddy bear. Rolling onto his back, he batted at the air playfully. Stripekit frowned as her sister spoke again.
"Hollyleaf."
"Howwyweaf."
"Ho-lllllll-y-llllll-eaf."
"Ho-www-y-www-eaf."
"Llllll."
"Wwwww." Shadowkit sneered, but was silenced by a dirty look from Silverkit. At least Stripekit was trying!

Hollyleaf shrugged then laid down.
Featherpaw padded in the nursery with some honey. "Hey, look what I brought you guys." She smiled brightly to the kits.

Waterkit watched Featherpaw pad in, smelling delicious honey. "My favorite!" She meowed, running up to the medicine cat apprentice. Stonekit followed, eyes gleaming. "Me first! Oh, Featherpaw pwease??? I love honey!"

"Of course, Stonekit." Featherpaw meowed giving him honey first, then Waterkit. She turned to Silverkit and Stripekit. "Here, girls. You get some too." She added happily handing them some honey. Then she padded over to Shadowkit and Badgerkit. "Here...", she placed honey in front of them both and smile. "I hope you like it." She padded over to her mother. "I brought you some honey too..." She smiled. Hollyleaf smiled greatly eating the honey. Featherpaw sat down by her mom for a short rest.

Badgerkit quickly and greedily licked up his honey. Silverkit ate at a slower pace, lapping it up like milk from a dish to savor the flavor. Shadowkit picked a big glob up in his hand, hopping over to Stripekit and smiling slyly. Stripekit was bending over to lap up the first mouthful of honey when he spoke. She stopped to listen.
"Want my honey?" He asked, and Stripekit nodded happily. He smeared it all over her face and began to laugh. "Enjoy!" He sneered, turning and padding over to Stripekit's honey and eating it quickly. He then turned a few quick circles and fell fast asleep.

Stonekit really hated his brother. He walked up to his little sister and began to lick the honey of her face. "He's just a mousebrained jerk. Ignore him, he'll mature up. Someday." Stonekit really hoped that, but it seemed unlikely.

Stripekit sighed, realizing that she wouldn't get any honey. Hers had been eaten by Shadowkit, who had smeared his all over her face. And now Stonekit was greedily eating what she had on her face. She shook her fur after her brother had finished cleaning her face off and sighed again. How she wanted to claw Shadowkit's nose off for that act, but she just couldn't. She wasn;t that mean.
"Shadowkit wiw pay soemday, I swear!" She said unhappily.
