Chaos groaned inwardly. That wasn't what she had meant. Could Fallingstar understand nothing? The she-cat glared after Rootclaw. What a stupid, pathetic excuse for a cat. She curled her lip. If she were as outgoing as her brother, or cared anything for this pathetic Clan, she'd kill that runt and take the position of Deputy for herself. But she liked it when no one knew anything about her. Secrecy was all she had left, and she prefered not to have to worry about devising plots and plans all day. She liked doing it for enjoyment, not obligation.
"Are you thinking up another one of your schemes, Chaos? Are we going to kill the little weakling Deputy?" Renegade asked quietly, though his voice was filled with excitement. Chaos smirked.
"Really, Renegade, you are too hasty. We must be paitent." She meowed soflty.
"We didn't have to wait to mangle mother's neck." Renegade grumbled.
"But that was because the timing worked so well with our dear brother's dissapearance." Chaos shook her head. "You must be quiet now, Renegade. We will not act until we are sure of the situation." She meowed.

Chasinglight nodded. "Nice." She muttered. "Okay.. so.. let's 'play fight!'" she made it sound like a game. Screeching, she made sure to add, 'no, Rootclaw, don't kill me!' in between her meowls of pretend cries. She then charged through the nursery, out of the camp. She looked behind to see if Rootclaw had followed.
-------------
Sweepingwind stood up. "I'll kill him." He said to Fallingstar. "After he kills the female." He rolled his eyes. He knew what was up. He wouldn't tell. He would just kill the tom when he got back. Then he could take his rightful place as Deputy, and maybe even Fallingstar's mate.
((Can Sweepingwind kill Rootclaw?))

Chaos's eyes narrowed as she surveyed Sweepingwind. It couldn't be more obvios how desperate he was. She closed her eyes and clenched her jaw. This was all just too stupid. Everything was going horribly, and soon the she-cat would be sick of the air she breathed in this camp.
"They disgust me." Chaos growled.
"Hmph, as if it would be so hard to beat a pregnant she-cat. Sheesh. Rootclaw thinks he's so strong. I lay my bets on Sweepingwind." Renegade hissed.
"I agree. Sweepingwind certainly has a stronger allaby." Chaos said thoughtfully.

[[No killing Rootclaw! But don't worry, he won't be coming back. ; ) ]]
Fallingstar nodded at Sweepingwind's words. "Why don't you just go kill them both?" She meowed somewhat sarcastically. She wasn't sure if Sweepingwind could do it. Couldn't a better choice of Deputy come up? Maybe... Renegade? Chaos? Whisper? But she had been wrong about this cat who had promised blood and murder. Maybe his kind of revenge wasn't the kind they wanted. Maybe it was the kittypet kind.
-
Rootclaw bolted after Chasinglight, screeching and whooping and hollering as if he enjoyed it.
[[Move this to a private thread for Rootclaw and Chasinglight?]]

Whisper watched the happenings with cold, blank eyes. She flicked her ear and stared at Sweepingwind. Somehow she felt that he would be deprived of a proper fight. Perhaps not, though. She flexed her claws and flicked one of her ears. If Fallingstar asked her to she would fight for the position of Deputy. But unfortunately that was unlikely.

OOC: Unfortunately Whisper's frame of mind is that nothing it essential. She follows orders without thought, without question. I don't know what sort of a leader she'd make but she'd be one heck of a deputy. Chaos, on the other hand... XD

[[xD Well... Som walse ehow she'll have to find emotion, right, or die trying? xP Really, it's cool that she has no care. But Fallingstar isn't the leader to waltz right up and ask "Will you be Deputy?"]]

OOC: That's true. But she probably wouldn't need to. While Whisper doesn't feel she does think. All Fallingstar would need to do is make Whisper think she wants her to become Deputy. If she does then nothing'll stop her XD

Sweepingwind snorted. "If you wish, Fallingstar, I would kill a whole Clan." His eyes shone with appreciation for the female leader, after all, he did have some feelings for her, he couldn't help himself. Sitting down, he waited for Fallingstar's final verdict, and he's eyes flashed over to the female, Whisper. He wouldn't care if the silly she-cat became deputy, it actually be a fun experiment to watch. All he wanted was Fallingstar's eyes on him, for once.

Whisper's temper got the better of her. The open challenge in the tom's voice made her blood boil. The one emotion she could hide but never fully destroy. The she-cat leapt to her paws, padding forward with her hackles pricked and her lip curled slightly over her teeth.
"Do you think so, Sweepingwind? Then try your claws on me and see if you can best me! I am just one cat and more easily dealt with than a Clan, yes?" She challenged. She looked up at Fallingstar and nodded slightly. While her voice had been devoid of much feeling, her eyes blazed forth a challenge. Some of her Clanmates whispered around her. The quiet, silent one had spoken. She would now fulfill her challenge or die trying.
Chaos watched Whisper with keen eyes. So she does have a chink in that armour? Who would have thought that temper would be her weakness? The she-cat's lip curled and the whiskers above her eye arched as a cynical smile stretched across her face.
"I don't know about this one. I've never observed Whisper in a fight before. But for her she looks plum ticked off." Renegade meowed tensely, his tail twitching and his eyes shining. Chaos curled her lip.
"You are too interested in these things, Renegade." She scolded.

Fallingstar smiled. "A fight for the position, then? After all, whoever wins this one will beat Rootclaw for sure and take the position." She smiled, hoping Whisper would tear him to shreds. He seemed... too soft. So eager to prove himself, but what was he trying to prove? Shaking her head, she smiled. "Begin, already!"

Whisper felt her blood run cold. Instead of fury, she had to power her fight by cold-blooded precision. A little of her anger came through in speed, though. She darted around until she faced Sweepingwind's exposed flank. She lashed out as she passed, but slunk out of range too quickly to be caught. She narrowed her eyes and lowered her body to the ground, ready to dodge or attack. She was testing him at this point. Whisper knew she must find his weaknesses and strengths and expose them. Then she would slit his throat or drag him down, bitting and clawing until he screamed for mercy like a kit. And, if she got to that point, it would be up to Fallingstar if Sweepingwind lived or died.

Fallingstar smiled, vanishing. She was gone but a moment, and then returned almost as if she hadn't gone. By now, the battle was only beginning. She hoped it would be good. She cast another weary glance at the Nursery, but saw nothing, so she forgot about it and watched Whisper, hoping she'd kill him quick.

Sweepingwind sighed. Too easy. Sitting down, he stared coldly into Whispers eyes, and didn't flinch went he felt her claws down his flank, although it hurt badly and blood welled onto the ground. He stared into her eyes, channeling her anger. Then, without warning, he took chance of her laying down position, shot forward, and sunk his claws into her chest, very close to her throat, which required him to put his belly quick to the ground to reach her, which was an advantage cause she couldn't claw at the soft skin there. He held them there, hoping she would get scared and run away, like a coward. Honestly, he didn't care if she became deputy, it would be fine. He just wanted to rip her apart, so she'd have a little more sense then plunging into a battle she couldn't win.

His attack was much too predictable. It was exactly what Whisper had expected of him. She let him get close and angled her body so that he thought he had her in his clutches. But then, taking a big risk, Whisper ripped herself from his grasp and reared up, slashing furiously at his head before falling back onto her forepaws. She darted to the side, slashing at his flank before slinking out of range again. Before he could recover, the she-cat, ignoring her bleeding shoulders, darting forward to ram into the tom's side. The good thing about this manuver was that if he happened to block, she could twist around and bite into his throat quite easily. He had two choices: take the blow and risk getting thrown off balance, or defend himself and run the risk of getting his throat ripped out. Whisper would do it, too, quite easily. If he thought he could beat her, he was wrong.

If he spun one way, the quickest way, he would die. So, taking a clever chaance, he sopun completely the other way, so when Whipser saw him turning, she would get the arong side, sink her claws into the earth, and he would win. He hoped his plan worked, for he turned at the right moment and barreled into her side, attempting to knock her down and pin her.

Aha! Trying to turn my own move against me. Clever. Whisper thought, though without one touch of admiration or approval. She was against an opponent who could be potentially dangerous; it did not matter if he thought he was so great, or if she did, either. What mattered was defeating him. Whisper's whole purpose at that moment was defeating this tom. She saw his move quite easily, though time would not allow her to block effectively. The she-cat leaped into the air, using her momentum to propell her onto Sweepingwind's back. He had slipped right under her claws. However, this move was difficult for her. Her broad-shouldered, powerful build made her lethal and powerful, but it also made her balance more difficult to manage. She dug her claws into the tom's shoulders and flanks, bracing herself to cling on until she could find a place to sink her teeth.

Sweepingwind shook her off easily, and did another spin, which required him to roll on the ground, and leapt up, locking his claws into her shoulders again, more close to her neck than before. He got her down easily, and flattened his belly, half on the ground and half on her, so she couldn't claw him. He knew he'd win, it was a matter of wits, not build.

OOC: Hehe, unfortunately for him she has both XD
BIC: Whisper wasn't surprised that she lost her clawhold. She rolled over and felt his claws in her shoulders again. Instead of squirming and trying to get free, she remained perfectly still. Finally, when his grip had loosened only slightly, she tensed her lower abdomen and threw herself forward with more agility and power than a cat should have. She stretched her jaws open wide and struck at his face. If that move wouldn't get him off, she had plenty more. She hadn't even broken a sweat yet. Although Whisper had to admit she'd lost some blood. Even now, it trickled down her legs and matted into her fur. But that was Ok. She would get past that obstacle quite easily. Her Master had taught her to work under any circumtsance.
