[Tigercloud]

Roaringwaters padded to the tree, looking up it. He frowned and sighed. "This is where Stormcloud was lay to rest... Dragged to the Thunderpath, where she was then ran over... Then dragged all the way back to camp." His eyes scanned around, frowning. "Mutilated and Humiliated." He sighed, looking up at the dark starry sky. "I'm sorry, Talonstar, Stormcloud." He looked at the tree's trunk, padding over to it. He pressed his head against it, ears laying back. "I'm so sorry..." The large tom mumbled. I couldn't help either of them... I'm a wreck right now, and I know it... I'll fix it though... I'll fix it all... Shadowclan will have the best leader and deputy it can have... Brokentail will brought to justice... and... I'll be loyal for the rest of the moons I have... He thought. "Brokentail and Silenceclan are the first things..." He murmured to himself. He frowned, bringing his head back and looking up through the canopy again. His eyes fell away and looked around him. Sudden rage ran through him, bringing him up on his hind legs. "Both of the evils that haunts these forests dies before I do! I'm not leaving this earth until its done!" He snarled, slashing out at the tree, just grazing it with his claws. Roaringwaters fell back onto his back. He lay there, not moving. He closed his eyes, letting the blackness close him. His ears were more alert with his sight gone. He rolled onto his side, just laying there breathing slowly.

A pair of pale yellow eyes illuminated the darkness. Shadowmask strode forward proudly, not making a sound. He glanced down at Roaringwaters, and then to the tree in which he had lashed out at violently only moments before. He waited for the tom to notice him before he said anything. Maybe, Roaringwaters didn't want to notice him. If that were the case, he would just be on his way in a moment...

[Tigercloud]

"Shadowmask? Or another fellow?" Roaringwaters mrowed, scenting the fellow shadowclanner's scent.

[Magicheart]

The large muscular tom paused and then stepped closer so that Roaringwaters could see him clearly. "It is I." he said calmly. His eyes scanned the tree and the cuts into the bark that Roaringwaters had just left. "Vengence is a dangerous thing." he said sadly.

[Tigercloud]

Roaringwaters sighed, standing slowly. He looked at Shadowmask. "Then again, rouge or not, this just isn't vengence in a sense... It's also to rid evil from the forest and land..." He answered, meow quiet. His amber eyes scanned his clawings on the tree and shook his head. "There's not going to be enough of us left if we don't do something sometime soon. Clans or not, there won't be because it will break and drive some to insanity..." He finished, quieting again. He knew from experience what this could do. Him almost being drove into insanity himself.

Shadowmask lowered his head. "I have lost those closest to me. For once in my life, I feel lost. I don't even feel like I belong in my own clan. I am running out of cats to protect. My mate was taken from me by Silenceclan." he said softly.

[Tigercloud]

Roaringwaters looked at Shadowmask. He dipped his head to him. He stepped closer slowly towards the other tom. (If I may) Roaringwaters brushed his nose across Shadowmask's cheek. "Your still like a brother to me, Shadowmask. I, being raised as a rouge, of course, never trusted many. I think it's safe to say, I would rather claim you as blood rather than my brother and father." He turned his head away, knowing he probably shouldn't have brought up his father and brother. "I am sorry for your loss, Shadowmask." He added in, looking back at the tom.

Shadowmask welcomed the closeness of the other cat. He hadn't spoken of his loss of Shadowflight, the clan's old deputy, to anyone. Nor had he spoke of the young she-cat, Leopardpaw, whom he had begun to love and also lost. He bowed his head, honored by the tom's complements. "I have kept a close eye on Stardust ever since she was a kit. She was always different from the others. She can see things that no one else sees. She was like a daughter to Shadowflight and I. Keep her close to you, Roaringwaters. Of all the cats in camp, I know she is safest in your paws. Stardust looks up to you above all others, Roaringwaters." he said calmly.

[Tigercloud]

Roaringwaters looked at Shadowmask. "I don't see why... I'm still rouge blood, I've killed since I've been in the clan remember? I killed the intuding Silenceclanner a while back." He meowed, looking down. "I know I didn't mean to, but it wasn't Clan-like at all. Plus... I'm probably just talk now." He shook his head, knowing he shouldn't be thinking like that, but was anyways.

"Our blood doesn't designate who we are, nor does it control our actions. You lost control of your actions once. This does not mean you are incapable of managing your own strength. It is a lesson to learn. Of course you may do things that aren't clan-like. You haven't been in a clan for too long, Roaringwaters. You still have much to learn. I have spent my entire life in Shadowclan, and I still have yet much to learn." he consoled, padding a step closer to the warrior. "When Starpaw first showed interest in you, I questioned her choice. I soon realized that I was a fool to have such little faith in her. Like I said, Stardust sees brightness where other cats see only the night sky. She must see a great brightness in you, Roaringwaters. One, perhaps, that you do not yet even see yourself. But I have faith, that it is there."

Roaringwaters looked at Shadowmask. His amber eyes clouded with mixed emotions. He tilted his head to one side, letting his ears lay back a bit with the move. He wasn't sure what could be in him, let alone anything bright. "So... Your saying she took intrest in me because she thinks there is more to me than... What everyone else thinks, or my abilities?" He wasn't quite sure he knew what Shadowmask had ment when he said his words.

Shadowmask lowered his gaze and his voice. "What I mean is, I was unsure that you would be a reliable mate for her. I saw a young tom full of restless anger with a disturbing past. I wasn't sure that you would stay in Shadowclan for long. You have proven your loyalty and worth many times over, but I still see a storm raging within you. Stardust can see past that. She sees the calm and the sunshine after the storm is over, and all that is cleansed from the rain." he meowed more clearly.

[Tigercloud]

Roaringwaters stared at the tom. He started to say something, but stopped letting the thoughts roll through his mind. He didn't know how it worked, but he just closed his eyes and lowered his head. The thoughts swarmed his mind, mixing up, but that was normal- At least, to him.

[Magicheart]

Shadowmask stared at the tom. "I am never ashamed of any part of my past, Roaringwaters. Even though some things I have done seemed wrong, or they hurt me, they made me who I am today, and I can use those experiences to help others that are suffering what I have suffered." he stated.

[Tigercloud]

Roaringwaters nodded. "I understand, sir." He meowed, dipping his head. His eyes looked back up at Shadowmask, more determined than before, but not the same reason. "I can only say, I'll try my best." He watched Shadowmask, waiting. He didn't think the tom would say much more. Respect is given harder than it is rescieved... Or at least... That's what I was told. He thought, keeping his mouth shut.

Shadowmask blinked his pale yellow eyes, making his face seemingly disappear into the dark night for a moment. He twitched his ears as he heard a sound not too far off behind him, and nodding his head in farewell, padded past his clanmate and disappeared.

A few moments later, a silvery pelt broke from the dark foliage. "There you are!" mewed Stardust with a smile.

Roaringwaters dipped his head in return for good-bye. He was on his feet when he saw Stardust coming out of the foliage. He padded closer to her, a soft rumble dappearing in his throat, "Here I am." He smiled at her, glad to see her, like always.

Stardust laughed, her voice gracing the air like a shooting star. "I kept waiting for you to come back to camp, but I could only wait so long!" she said with a stubborn smile. "Are you ok?" she asked.

Roaringwaters laughed quietly, smiling. "Just had to get out awhile. To much steam." He answered simply.

Stardust twitched her nose, suddenly noticing another scent on the air. "Shadowmask was here?" she half asked half stated. "He's been so distant lately....ever since his mate died...I worry about him." she confessed.
