Clan Meeting

Two bodies lay in the middle of camp, one Talonstars, the other Stormclouds.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!"

Exhausted as she was, Articstar still needed to tell her clan what happened.

"Two nights ago, I received a dream. Talonstar-as you all know died- came to me. He told me that I was to become leader and to mentor Dawnpaw. Last night, Bluepaw and I went to MoonStone, as some of you know. As much as it pians me to say, I am new leader of Shadowclan. We will sit vigil for Stormcloud and Talonstar tonight."

[Tigercloud]

Roaringwaters was laying down, tired. He was breathing a bit heavily, but he sat up in respect for Vigil. He winced a bit because he was sore. Yet, he said nothing, and for once staying in where the crowd would be. His amber eyes closed and he was silent. He bowed his head, tears filling his eyes. I'll get Brokentail. I swear on everything in my power and life to bring him before the leader and prove he's guilty. I swear it. If I can't do that... I'll kill him trying or get killed trying. He growled in his head. Slowly, he turned his head looking over at Talonstar's body and Stormcloud. "I swear Talonstar... I'll get him back for what he did... I swear it..." The tom promised in a whisper.

Midnightpaw stared forlournly down at the figures of the Leader and the Deputy. His grey-blue gaze lingered on the latter of the two, and a shiver convulsed up his spine as he recalled the sinister eye of Brokentail. Could he have had a paw in both of the deaths? Midnightpaw mused fearfully. He shook his head and stared down at his paws. Must StarClan punish us by this monstrosity? He wondered sadly, wishing with all his heart he could just will all of these things away. He wished he could return to the time when Stormcloud stood scolding him as he tried to wrestle with her young kits, or when Talonstar watched him with amusement as he dashed along, dripping Mousebile wherever he went then being forced to clean up after himself. Midnightpaw's eyes filled with tears and he turned slightly to look at Roaringwaters. No matter what, I'm going to protect my Clan from that traitor... Here his eyes wandered to Brokentail, who sat in the shadows with a hidden expression, though from Midnightpaw's angle he could tell the tom was smirking. Even if it means giving up my very life.

Roaringwaters didn't care who saw. He got up slowly moving over to the bodies. He could be yelled at or anything, but he didn't care. He dipped his head nuzzling Stormcloud's head softly and then looking at Talonstar. He lay down in front of him, just looking at him. He frowned deeply, just letting the tears wetten his muzzel and snout. I don't care who's watching me or what trouble I'll be in... He was like a brother to me... Or at least in my eyes... The tom thought, No one gets to see this cat go down without a fight... This is going to be the only time they see break down... Just for you brother... He pressed his head a bit against Talonstar's murmuring the he'd try his best to take care of everyone for him.

Almost glittering in the light of camp, Stardust silently made her way towards Roaringwaters to comfort him and grieve for her fallen clanmates. Deep in her heart, fear flourished for what dangerous ideas her mate may be thinking of. She pressed herself against his side and licked him comfortingly on the head.

Weary pale yellow eyes fixed on the cats in the clearing as Shadowmask stepped forward to grieve. It seemed that Talonstar hadn't even been Shadowclan's leader for very long. What was happening to Shadowclan? Was Starclan angry with them? It seemed like they had lost so much in such a little amount of time....the large muscular tom padded over to Articstar. "Is there anything I can do to help you, Articstar?" the tom asked in his deep voice.

[Tigercloud]

Roaringwaters nuzzled against Stardust. He didn't know what to do right now. He let himself break down still, not caring anymore. He lay his head on his paws, wondering why it had even happened. It felt so heavy... Like it was his fault for some reason. He knew it wasn't, but he felt he could've done something to protect the two better. He coughed hard for a moment, but it was fine after it.

Stardust sighed, knowing her mate well enough that he would just need her silent support. She delicately curled herself up next to him and rested her head upon his neck.

Articstar saw how shooken her clanmates were. She felt like a pretty loust leader at the moment. "No, No, Stardust." She stared up at the sky. "I must pick shadowclans deputy."
