Dovepaw padded into camp with a meduim sized fish hanging from her jaws. She tossed it into the fresh kile pile, then laid down in a sunny spot, waiting for orders from some warriors or the leader. This was one of her few relaxing times, because she always tried to work harder than any other cat to prove to her parents she wasn't all good looks. That was one of her "flaws", or so she thought. Ever science she was born her parents had been bragging over her looks to other cats, and she was tired of it.
The sun heated the side of her pelt faceing the sun, so the pretty she-cat got up and laid down on her other side. When she was able to relax, she was able to think about things. Things like her social life. The she-cat had zero friends because she wasn't open to anyone, and she never talks. Ever! But if she did talk, she would sound like a leader.

The daylight sun streaming like gold along the RiverClan camp, glittering in the river and turning the world to diamonds, made any cat grateful to live and breath the warm, crisp air. The clouds had momentarily cleared up, but more dark ones rolled in like shadows of the night. The day was still young, however, and it seemed every cat who was any cat was outside sunning themselves in the brilliant warmth of the afternoon. All except one, that is.
Because Ghostpaw was busy thinking. Thinking about anything she could. Anything to keep herself from the two thoughts that scared her most. She didn't want to let the emotion reach her heart, and every time she thought that she thought about how much she was like Rootclaw. At least the old Rootclaw. She was even worse than Lichenpaw now. But she didn't mind those thoughts. It was the thought of her mother and Shadowpaw that scared her most. Because she had feelings for them. And that made her feel weak. She scoffed as she set some fish on the freshkill pile, turning to pad out of the camp and go hunting again. I'm turning into Rootclaw.

Dovepaw noticed Ghostpaw pad out of camp. Out of bordem, the beautiful she-cat decided to pad after her. Dovepaw slowed her pace when she got next to the apperince and meowed, "Whatcha doing?" in her wonderful ringing voice.
Any cat in Riverclan would have been shocked to her her speak. The she-cat almost never did, just to hide her bueatiful voice. When ever she was asked to do something, she nodded, and when she was asked something that need more than a nod, she would meow hoarsly.

Ghostpaw's thoughts remained a murky haze until an unfamiliar voice cleared her mind. She turned to face Dovepaw, unsurprised as her focus had not helped to put together the thought of the silent apprentice and speech. But even if her mind was working along with other problems, she couldn't refuse being friendly. "Thinking." She replied simply, plainly, and with little feeling at all. It was strange for the old Ghostpaw, but almost easily expected of the new. Ever since her 'father' had run off and her 'mother' had met her, she found it hard to be anything close to cheerful.

"About what?" Dovepaw meowed. This apperntice seemed depressed. 'Do I really want to know?' she thought to herself. "What's wrong?" the she-cat meowed, but after what, her voice went hoarse. She sounded like a choaking frog. 'Have I really not been talking that long?' Dovepaw thought to herself.

"Life." Ghostpaw replied plainly, her voice thick wit distress. She wasn't about to talk to some silly apprentice about her problems, no. These were things she needed to work out herself.

"Why?" Dovepaw asked. But then she thought back to her own life. 'Maybe it's something like my past...'

"Because." Ghostpaw said simply, sitting down and licking a paw calmly. But inside her head still swirled as she thought about all that had recently happened.

"Because." Ghostpaw repeated simply, slightly annoyed that she was being copied by her fellow apprentice Dovepaw.

Dovepaw sat down, then stared off into the distance. "O.K. then." she meowed.

Ghostpaw shrugged and turned to look at Dovepaw. "Aren't you the quiet one?" She asked.

"Hmm. Guess we're all changing now." Ghostpaw said somewhat more alertly, and with a bit of hidden darkness in her voice. Her thoughts were ever-changing with the wind...

Dovepaw nodded. This cat was hard. Depressing almost, and the worst part was, was that she wouldn't let anyone in.
