Smudge looked deeply into Livvi.
'I would do the same for you if you were in my situation. I'm sure Millie never wanted to hurt my friends-or me, for that matter-but she did, and now...i don't know if they've made it home, safe or not. I'd probably forgive Millie.... Please, Livvi. I'm begging you." Smudge said in a whisper.

"Begging doesn't get a tom anywhere." Livvi said with a sigh, rolling her eyes and leaping down to meet Smudge eye-to-eye. Surprisingly enough, she was a lot smaller than first appeared and seemed somewhat more intimidating as she grew closer.
"Lemme tell you something." She said as she drew in close to his face. "If you really love Hattie you'll go find Millie, apologize, and get her to take you back. Then you really are worth the trouble." Livvi spat to one side of Smudge before turning and vanishing into the trash behind her that was her home.

Smudhes eyes burned as he watched Livvi go. No wonder Millie chose her as a friend. Shaking his head, he turned to Jua.
"It's no use." He said simply, sadly. Millie wouldn't accept his apology-the she-cats around here were so difficult.

Jua backed off a few paces and sighed, shaking his head.
"I don't meddle in their issues, and you shouldn't either. Maybe you can find somebody else who knows where Hattie is..." Jua said, frowning and biting his lower lip. He knew of one cat who'd been around the alley enough to know where anyone was. But would he be of assistance now, or was he off with his mate?
