Hortense glared at the stupid kittypet. The light from the sky was dimming, they really should be heading off. "We're not related at all, miss, and I believe you should not ask anymore questions, dear." Mist said in a tight voice. Long shadows were forming off from surrounding trees. Smudge sat a few yards away, watching the sky. He was really anxious. Would they find Hattie? He shook his head nervously and padded up to Millie. "Hortense is right, Millie. We should be heading. I cannot live without my Hattie." He knew he sounded like a sap, but it was true. A breeze rolled in, making him shiver miserably. He hoped Hattie was okay....

Millie nodded and turned to look at Hortense, her cold stare boring into the she-cat. "Why are you even here? Both of you, go home. Only Smudge needs to keep going. You two are slowing us down a lot, and we'd make double time if you both left." She said darkly, shaking her head. Kyle sighed and nodded. "She's right." He said softly, turning and beginning to pad away. "Hortense, I'm sorry. Lets go."

Mist glared at Millie. The kittypet knew absolutely nothing. "Your the one who keeps making us stop." She snapped, smoky body almost bristling. Smudge didn't say a word. In truth, he liked having Mist and Kyle along for the ride. And he didn't really want to be alone with Millie. But he was so shy he didn't say a thing.

"Only for your own good." Millie said unhappily, trying not to get mad at the young kitten or her baby friend. She didn't understand why such small cats would come? "I figured being so young made travel hard." She said softly, not wanting to look at Hortense or Kyle. Kyle just continued to walk away, his every inch of heart and courage gone, and his entire self sad and broken.

Rage took hold of Hortense's' eyes. "Young? Young? Me and Kyle are not young. in fact, I'm probably older than you, and Kyle may be small, but at least he has more common sense and dignity than you." Mist hissed, digging her sharp, black claws into the ground. Her usually soft, italic voice was now more boldfaced and angry. She could feel power swelling in her legs, and was prepared to spring....

"Well so-rry miss." Millie said crudely, still trying not to be too angry. After all, she didn't want anyone to get hurt. "But until you get your sad, unhappy self out of my face I'll not likely be taking you anywh-" She stopped and turned to look around. Kyle was gone. And Millie knew for a fact that he'd get himself hurt or killed out there with all the Thunderpaths and dogs and rogue cats. "Where's Kyle?"

Mist spun around and didn't see him. She got even more angrier. "Now look what you've done! Your so useless." She hissed leaping into nearby woods and trying to scent him out. The pale twilight lighting made it harder and harder to see, byt luckily, she had good smelling senses. "Kyle?" She called in her normally small voice. "Don't listen to Millie. She is mousebrained. I can't believe her!" She said, subsequently getting louder.

But Kyle was too far away to hear Mist. That and he had gone toward the twoleg homes, not away from them. He was heading away from the woods and away from the world. He walked on slowly, not at all worried about death. The only person who cared a hair about him had been Kayli, and he had left her too. He was a useless kit and he knew it. So he walked on, oblivious to the searches. Eventually after what had been several hours, Kyle found an old cardboard box where he could spend the night.
-
"Kyle's gone home. Now what? Hattie or Kyle?" Millie turned to Smudge, as this seemed to be his ultimate decision. Or, they could always split up. But that seemed out of the question since Millie figured poor Mist couldn't look for Kyle alone.

Mist dashed out of the woods and glared at Millie, knowing what she was thinking. Smudge blinked. "Hattie." He said. It might of been a callus decision, but he could not live without Hattie. "Let's just go." He said, turning away from the two dramatic females. Hortense caught up quickly and padded silently next to Smudge, though it was an angry silence. She kept shooting Millie deadly glares.

As time went on the silence in the group hung low and deathly. Millie stopped suddenly and shook her head. "Look here, Hortense. We're getting close and poor Hattie will just die if you come in all dark and evil. I say you'd either put on a smile or not come in at all, hmmm?" Millie said softly, sadly. Poor Hattie had been through too much now to now be faced with dark and unhappy felines. Especially if her sister was involved. Hattie could hardly keep her strength up for the kits, but anything unhappy might just kill her.

Hortense glared at her. "I can't be happy when your around. But I'll try, for Smudges sake." A look of relief crossed the black and white cats face. She tossed one more evil glare at Millie and put on a look of fake happiness.

[[Can't you tell I want to ditch her? -.- I hate RPing a sad or unhappy Millie since she usually never is.]]
Millie sighed and nodded, still gloomy and knowing that Hattie would sense the unhappiness around her. But making Hortense any madder wouldn't be good at all. She sighed and began to wonder if not forcing Hortense to leave was a good idea. But if she tried the two would probably fight and Millie would just end up hurting the frail she-cat. She realized that the only way to not hurt Hortense would be to grudgingly let her stay.

Mist could sense Millie's feelings, and it hurt. She wasn't that frail, was she? Stopping short, she turned to Millie. "Look, we have our differences, but we both share one thing: we want to help Smudge. I say...truce? Can we be friends?" Hortense smiled gently, hoping the kittypet would accept.Smudge looked at Millie expectantly, fiddling his white paws they were exceedingly getting darker cause of the dust.

"Why are you here?" Millie suddenly asked, surprisingly harsh for her usually good-natured voice. Her eyes glimmered with pain and read the want to forgive, but her father's ruthless nature took hold and she had to question the silly she-cat. After all, why was Hortense there? What good was she doing? And now Kyle was gone, and nobody but Millie seemed to care. And Millie only cared because it was her fault.

Hortense blinked, shocked, and turned away. "I guess not." She murmured, not bothering to answer Millie's harsh question. She walked slowly in the opposite direction of the two. "Where are you going?" Smudges' worried voice called out. Hortense sighed and kept walking, though at a faster pace. "Home." She said in her quiet voice. Luckily, Smudge heard. He whipped around at Millie once Hortense's figure had receded into the forest. "You ruin everything! Why don't you just give me directions so I can find Hattie myself. Your horrible!" He shrieked. He was never stern, with anybody, but Millie really got on his nerves. Why couldn't she just accept Mist? Especially after she apoligized and wanted to be friends! "Your no better than a rotten rouge." Smudge murmured.

"Fine then, if you don't want my help then I'll go." Millie said, turning and stalking away as fast as she could. She hated stupid toms and she-cats, and felt very bad that poor Kyle had been forced to travel with them. It had been a simple question and now poor Smudge had only one other cat who could find Hattie - and that cat was Livvi. She was a sweet and smooth thing, and she was mostly just a happy-go-lucky darling. Mostly. But Millie had yet to see her have a breakdown. She only wished that Smudge hadn't left that option open, because if Livvi knew that he had yelled at Millie... Oh, there'd be thunder then.

[Since they are close to Hattie, I think He can find her own his own. By accident or something.]
Smudge shivered in the cold dusk air. He walked along the wood lined path nervously, jumping at the slightest noise. an owl in the trees. A snap on a branch. He stopped short.More Branch snappings. Whipping around, his large eyes shone with fear. "W-Who's there?" He called out.

[[An hour away... xD Not that close, and unfortunately Hattie is in a very hidden area as it is]]
"Nobody who you shouldn't fear. Who are you?" A voice rang out, deep and masculine. It was obviously a very large tomcat, and very strong most likely. The voice also sounded like it would only mean harm if Smudge did. Because it wasn't a voice to mess around. And in the shadows a golden tomcat with gold eyes watched Smudge darkly, muscles bunched and ready to spring if need be.

"Uh. Smudge." He blinked a few times, trying to see the cat in the darkness. He felt fear swelling in his muscles, and shrank down vulnerably. His eyes widened and widened, bugging out of his head in a pretty unattractive manner.

The unblinking, cold eyes vanished as the cat blinked, pondering. Suddenly, the tom revealed himself to the obvious kittypet. "Name's Jua, friend. See you aren't much of a fighter, eh?" A deep, throaty and very intimidating laugh erupted from the powerful tom, but it was cut short rather quickly. "No, you aren't from around here. What brings you to this humble place of no return?" He said in a mysterious voice that could give any cat shivers.
