"Then we will be on our way." Hortense said, dipping her head. She turned to Smudge. "I am sorry. I suppose this is not who you meant. But you may be able to find some help in Millie..." Hortsense said quietly. Smudge blinked and nodded.

Almost right on cue came the bustling she-cat. Her silver tabby pelt was sleek and well-groomed, and her crystal blue eyes sparkled with determination. She hurried past the cats and nearly ran into Kyle, who dodged her just in time. She fell in her haste to avoid him and got up, shaking herself and turning to the group. "Hi, sorry, can't talk right now. Need to find Foalan for some loners." She said and panted, exhausted from her quick jog. Kyle rolled his eyes but said nothing.

Hortense stepped in front of Millie. Her misty form appeared even foggier right now, for some reason. Her orange eyes showed compassion. "Millie. We need your help. Have you seen a pretty she-cat, with kits? A Kitypet? My friend Smudge is her mate. And we need to find her." Hortense said. smudges gazed desperately at Millie.

Millie sighed and nodded. "Yeah, I have. I've been taking care of her. You must be Smudge, she's been asking about you for some time. Glad I know where you are. Follow me." She commanded and turned around, heading just as swiftly off. Kyle groaned and raced after her, his little legs making it extremely difficult to keep up. Actually, they made it near impossible. As he slowly began to lose the group he hissed at himself, frustrated for even coming.

Kyle was not alone. she was also lacking, paind darts shooting up her legs. She eventually fell into step with Kyle. "I won't leave you. We can follow the scent trail." She said, slowing the pace a little more for him. Smudge looked back and felt a little guilty, but he wanted to get to Hattie as quick as possible. He needed to see her, to drink in her scent....he pushed himself faster and harder, willing himself to finally be with her once more.

Kyle looked at Hortense and shook his head, forcing himself to propel faster than her. He didn't want anything to do with that freaky cat. He wasn't a freak like her, was he? He most certainly hoped not. And he knew that in Kayli's eyes he wasn't which amde him content. Because Kayli was all he had left now. Nobody else cared. He neared closer to Smudge and Millie, glad to leave Hortense behind him.
Hattie walked for several hours, eventually stopping by a twoleg garden and leaping into it. This was her own home, and she figured the cats could use a break. She sighed and walked through a thick, tangled garden that stretched back for a whole acre. Near the center a pond of Koi swam about and she took a few laps of the cooling water before relaxing on the stone edge of the pool to rest for a moment. They had a long walk ahead of them.
[[Her home is based off of my friend Randy's garden.]]

[[Nice xD] Hortense watched Kyle go, a little upset. She wondered why this cat would stereotype someone like him. It was a little rude. She rolled her eyes and pushed even farther ahead of him, lining in the Smudge. Mist, as some called her, was not usually a mean type, but if Kyle started lacking again she would not fall into step with him once more, if he was to be rude.
Smudge was soon getting tired from the run. He wondered where Millie was taking them. He hoped it was somewhere close: his kittypet body was slowing down gradually.

[[Well, technically he's my mom's friend and our gardener but still]]
Millie sighed and looked at the group of cats wandering with her. "Drink, relax, but don't touch the koi or my human will have a fit. We'll leave in an hour." She said as she sunbathed and napped, enjoying every moment of her sleep. She needed to refuel her tanks if she was to continue the journey which was roughly two more hours. She'd probably spend another night with Hattie, if she didn't arrive soon.

Smudge paced around the little pond, refusing to miss a moment. Mist sat a little ways away, examining the garden. Her orange eyes were curious, yet he could see a little hurt in them as she glanced quickly at Kyle. He decided to console her. "Mist....Kyle's just a little self-consious. I know he might of hurt you..." smudge was no good at this, but Hortense seemed to understand. "Affirmative." She said simply, walking away to view the garden some more.

Kyle bounded around like a kitten, having fun exploring every crack of the garden. At one end was a fence that beyond it revealed barren, desert land. The garden was so green he could hardly believe the rest of the land wasn't. There was a small twoleg building missing a roof and walls, where several plants hung. And then he discovered beneath the house was a room filled with rabbits of all shapes, sizes, colors and ages. He pawed at them but couldn't reach them through the strange rock spiderwebs that contained them.

Mist tended to stay away from Kyle, but did some discovering of her own. There was a bush with pretty roses on it, but she dared not pick one, for they were covered in gruesome looking thorns. There was another bush with odd tasting leaves, but ones they gave her a bit of an energy boost. She called smudge over to eat some so he'd be able to make the journey to Hattie.

Kyle bounded around the garden eagerly and passed Millie, who was getting up and heading over to Hortense and Smudge. "Don't eat that plant, guys. It strengthens you now but gives you diarrhea later. Believe me, I've tried." Millie said unhappily, walking over to them and shaking her head disapprovingly.

Smudge spat out the leaves and Mist just sighed. She went over by the pond to rest for a minute, and then lifted her head up and looked at Millie. "When will we be going?" She asked softly.

"Relax. We just got here. We'll leave in 45 minutes or so." Millie said in amusement, purring and shaking her head. These cats were too eager to start this tiresome journey, and she knew they needed energy to continue it. But if they were just going to sit and twitch their tails impatiently they could fail the journey without her.

Mist nodded to Millie and stared at the Garden some ore. It was so exquisite, but she knew now not to touch. Hopefully she could get through the trip without getting the sickness. Luckily for Smudge, he did not swallow the leaves as she did. But Oh well. That's what she got for being over curious. What seemed like a day later, Hortense padded up to Millie. "The Sun is at the highest point in the sky now. I believe we should be leaving."

"Relax. The journey doesn't take us that long, just a couple hours more. But fine, we'll be off if you must." Millie said with a sigh. "Go round up the others for me." She said with a shake of her head as she padded off to find her man and et him know she was alright.

Mist nodded and flicked her tail for Smudge to follow. It was obvious she wasn't going to bother with Kyle, and Smudge sighed. "Come one, Kyle." He called to the small cat. Mist's smoky body in front of him was hard to follow. It was like he could see Millie right through her. Wait...he could! He looked harder, and it was true. He gasped a little, and Hortense turned around, giving him a questioning stare. He looked away quickly.

Kyle walked past Hortense rather coldly, and hurried after Millie. The two walked together in silence for a while, before Millie suddenly stopped. "We're about halfway now. Five minutes and we'll get going again, okay? Eat and rest." She said with a smile. Then she turned to look at Kyle and Hortense. "Mother-son?"

Mist shook her head, disgusted, and rolled her eyes. A few minutes passed in silence. "I believe we should be heading now." She sad coldly.

Millie shook her head and smiled. "So what happened? Father left, family argument? Why do you hate each other?" She asked with a soft smile. Kyle looked away and remained silent.
