Ottertail nodded.
"Precisely! Now, watch this trick that my aunt taught me..." He winked mischeviously and then darted across to the nearest tree. He climbed easily up the bark and crept towards the end of one of the branches. He turned and judged the distance to the next tree. It was somewhat far. He crouched sideways on the branch and then dropped from it, clining with his forepaws and swinging himself so that his hindlegs dangled in midair. He then released the branch and his body swung over the next tree's lower bough. He swung around and caught the branch with his foreclaws, flipping over it and landing neatly on the other tree. He smiled down at Flameheart.
"Neat trick, huh?" He asked.

Ottertail smirked down at her.
"Hey, I'm a tom! Don't I get a little bit of bragging rights just for being a guy?" He asked teasingly, swinging down gracefully and landing near her.

Flameheart scoffed. She cuffed his ear playfully. "Girls are sooo much better" she said, a giant grin on her maw.

Ottertail gave an outraged expression and flicked his tail.
"I beg your pardon, miss? I do believe you just insulted me!" He exclaimed, crouching and smiling.
"Wanna take me on? I bet ya can't beat me in a little fun duel, head-to-head, hhhmmm?" He purred, his eyes twinkilng mischeviously.

She bunched her hind legs and lept, paws extended. She was on a direct course towards Ottertail's back.

OOC: Urrgghh... <- only protest to lack of knowing what to reply to that... one sentence...
BIC: Ottertail swerved out of the way - quickly for a cat of his size. Although he had a somewhat RiverClan build, the sleek ShadowClanner came out in his long, strong legs and narrow hips. They made him, if anything, faster than most RiverClanners. He crouched and pounced at Flameheart's side, a wide grin spread across his face.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Ottertail was so stunned he tripped over Flameheart's back and was sent tumbling into a nearby bush. He poked his head out and saw his father staring at him, fury burning in his amber eyes. Ottertail shrank back, not used to seeing Liontail so angry.
"I was, er, we were..."
"May I remind you that she's a Medicine cat! I want no more funny business from you, do you understand?" Liontail snarled, turning to Flameheart.
"I'm sorry. He's such a beetle-brain sometimes." The tom sighed.

Flameheart looked up at Lionail. "It was my idea" she mewed "I can take care fo myself." She smiled sweetly, blinking her bright blue eyes/

Liontail grunted and narrowed his eyes at his son.
"I'm sure I know who put you up to it, Flameheart. Don't try to cover for him. He's be restless ever since he lost the whole 'apprentice' excuse." Liontail mewed, shaking his head in frustration. Ottertail bristled.
"Hey, I've been doing just fine!" He snapped.
"Mhm." Liontail muttered absentmindedly. He raised his tail in farewell, looking something thoughtful, and padded off. Ottertail shook his head. Usually his father wasn't so cross. Had something happened, he wondered.

Ottertail heaved a sigh. He wasn't used to the coldness his father had held towards him. Perhaps he was displeased because he knew that Ottertail liked Flameheart...? Ottertail shook his head. He'd had a crush on her for a while, but it was nothing big... Or was it? He found himself feeling more stupid than usual whenever she was nearby, but was that really a sign of love? He highly doubted it. Probably just infatuation. Yeah... that was probably it.
"I couldn't even begin to guess." He mumbled, his thoughts scattered all about the place like fresh-kill torn up by a dog.
