The day was ending. The moon was rising and the sun was resting. SilenceClan camp was still noisy with the meows of cats and the yowls of kits playing.
Shadowstar padded out of his den and leaped on top of the Black Rock.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Black Rock for a clan meeting," he yowled out the traditional calling. Ever since cats from all clans moved into SilenceClan, a lot of their customs came too.
"What is the forest coming to? he asked himself.

The three dark shapes slowly made their way into the clearing. The first was a tall, thick-set dark grey tom with peircing blue eyes, one frozen in a glaring position by a long scar that ran through his very eye. The second was a black tom, lean but compact, with emotionless autumn amber eyes, and the fourth was a black tom with a white chest and paws, as well as a snip on his nose and a patch of white streaking down his throat. His eyes were like the tom's beside him, amber, but they held a spark of interest in them, making them come alive. Together the toms took their places for the meeting, watching their leader with their own seperate thoughts. Crescentscar had been cross ever since Mistpaw had dissapeared, and Fade had become much more comfortable to be around since Raven had showed up. The black and white tom was fitting in pretty well. He felt he knew the ways of the Clan somehow, but he wasn't sure just how. He looked up at the Black Rock and smiled slightly, eager to hear the news.

Fallingfeather glanced nervously at Raven, before placing herself next to the two black toms. He was familiar, too familiar. He reminded Fallingfeather of a kit she had known before she had left. It made her suspicious. She glanced up at her leader, curious. One day that will be me making decisions. So for now, I just watch and listen. Curiosity killed the cat, you know. Instantly her features became like stone, no emotion or feeling. She would wait, and watch. And listen, learning the ways of the Clan. And when Shadowstar died, she would be ready...

Shadowstar watched as the cats assembled below him. Meows of curiosity rang out until Shadowstar demanded silence with a flick of his tail.
"It is not unknown that our clan is in need of a Medicine Cat. If we plan to take over the forest blood will be spilled, hopefully from the other clans, and now we will have a Medicine Cat to help us. Snakepelt will be the new Medicine Cat of SilenceClan," he yowled. "Snakepelt you may move into your new den as soon as you wish. Also we have a new cat joining our clan. Raven is an ex-loner and he is to be welcomed by all of you."
"That is all," he meowed. Swiftly leaping of the rock and then he padded over to the fresh-kill pile. Hunger gnawed at his stomach.

Fallingfeather frowned as she glanced quietly around. Not a sign of the fiery tomcat who seemed lately to be so inspiring. Canyonpaw was strong, leaving his family and attempting murder of them because he wanted strength. But the vicious muted brute was nowhere to be seen. "Shadow," Fallingfeather waltzed cooly over to the strong tomcat she called her superior. But to her, he was only going to live longer. Only she could rule herself, it was another part of herself that had become when her sister had died. Shadow was the nickname that Fallingfeather had given him, she would never call him by a long title that she did not believe in. She was fierce and spunky, that was true enough. And plain to see, too. "Have you seen that fiery tom and his little girlfriend?" Fallingfeather glanced around again, but did not see Canyonpaw or Mistpaw. "And I have a question regarding trainees."

Shadowstar rose from his vole and waited a moment while he thought. Now that the deputy mentioned it he had not seen Canyonpaw or Mistpaw in awhile. For some reason this worried him. Cats left the camp all the time but this felt different to him.
"I have not. I want you to lead a patrol and see if you can find them. When you do, give them a firm talking to and then bring them to me. They will go punished for being gone this long. I remember them leaving this morning," he meowed.

"I shall immediately. But in the - other Clans - they have Mentor and Apprentice training. So I think that maybe, we should do the same? It would help strengthen the apprentices. Just a thought." She replied, nodding. She walked to the clearing's center, calling out. "Any for a patrol?"

"I will think about it," Shadowstar called out to her as she gathered the patrol.
The dark tom continued eating his vole as the patrol left the camp and the cats soon dispersed into their own crowds. I am so proud of this clan, he thought to himself.

Raven looked up at Shadowstar and felt his pelt tingle. He watched as Crescentscar got to his paws and shook himself a little, turning to face his brother. He flicked his ear and nodded slightly, and Fade blinked. When Fallingfeather came and asked if anyone was up for a patrol, Raven was instantly on his paws.
"I'll go!" He exclaimed excitedly, eager to do something for his new Clan.

"Good." Fallingfeather purred, nodding. She waited for more cats.

Snakepelt nodded his head, overdue for the gatheirng of cats. He had recently departed to gather herbs for a new store, and had only then arrived. When he found many looking towards him he blushed and said predictedly " This is my place to serve my clan" His abrupt answer was not very full, and he didn't want it to quite be that way. Instead, he carried on the the entrance of his new den. And then her wrenched his head back to the others to give them a sly blink.[/sub]
