Ripplekit rolled his eyes but silently agreed. Then the scent wrapped around him, and Minnowkit bounded over.
"Boo!" She cried as she jumped at her father.

Chasernight smiled a little at his kit, but crept over a little farther. Eventually, He decided it was only the wind blowing another Clan's territory scent over to TrueClan. "Nothing Bad. We should move on." He said, gazing at Otherstar.

Chasernoight just shook his head. "your brothers, Hundredpaw and Twopaw, are just a little upset right now. It is very hard to explain." He sighed and eyed Otherstar, wondering what she had to say.

"They just don't like me. That's all." Googolpaw does. A bit. She thought sadly. If he had come along, she might have been able to make things right. But a pack of kits, a Clan, and a life were hard to balance plus paying attention to two older litters. She hadn't even seen Devil's-tail since they had hunted a quarter-moon ago.

Chasernight flicked his tail over his mates flank. "They love you. Their young, they don't understand right now." He sighed an walked off, leading thr group to their new destination.
Meanwhile, Fawnkit glared out into the sea of golden fronds. "Somethings out there, Dad just doesn't want to admit it." she said, looking back at her disappearing family. They are just so busy...I'm sure they won't notice me...especially when I'm hidden by some fronds.

Ripplekit saw his sister had stopped and he walked back to her and sighed.
"What now?" He asked in a somewhat 'unhappy leader' tone, but mostly curious. If it meant an adventure he wouldn't mind breaking off from the group. After all, they were out here to have fun, right?

"Yeah, Fawnkit. Where are you going?" He leaped into the brush after his sister, tackling her fiercly.
"Get off!" Fawnkit shrieked, wiriggling out of her brother grasp. "I'm going to find out what is making that racket and what is providing that smell, okay? Are you with me?" She asked the both of them, eyes hopeful. Truth was, she was scared. What if the strange scent was a badge or fox? She needd back up, and if it was dangerous, she needed some more sturdy cats with her. Indigokit was strong and fierce, he'd make a great addition.
"Yeah, whatever." Her brother said, glaring out into the vast golden fields.

Indigokit was acting about as foolish as Fawnkit at that moment. But Ripplekit could scarcely refuse adventure. He nodded and smiled, leading the way even though he knew Indigokit might protest. He always wanted to be a leader. But Ripplekit was born for it.
"Stay close then, unless you want to be crowfood." He said with a sharp hiss, crawling as if he were in the army. Because who knew what was out there?

Fawnkit rolled her eyes. Indigokit opened his mouth to protest, but she quickly slapped her tail over it. Following Ripplekit with the same army crouch, she thought she saw a flash of a cats pelt. "Who was that?" She whispered sharply to Ripplekit.

Ripplekit signaled for silence, but it was too late. A surprised-looking silver she-cat suddenly revealed herself. She was no TrueClanner, for certain, but who she was remained a mystery. Suddenly, a sly smile spread across her lips.
"Hello, kits. Could you possibly help me?" She asked.

Fawnkit nodded, her inner helping spirit flashing out. "Sure! What's your name?" She waddled up to the cat, taking a big sniff. "You smell weird..." She said with huge, unblinking eyes.

"I'm Speckledtail." She said with a smile, casting an innocent glance at the not-so-fooled Ripplekit. "And I need something from you. You see, your mother will be killed very soon. But I know how you can help her." She said with a soft smile, eyes pleading Fawnkit. This kit was certainly helpful...

"Well, I need you to tell me everything you know about your Clan. Tell me all the new warriors, new decisions, everything you can." She said with a soft sigh. "But do not tell your mother. If I get the information then I can save her life. But if anyone other than we four know about it, then she will die faster than otherwise." Speckledtail spoke sadly. Ripplekit scoffed but knew he couldn't lose his mother. If his other siblings agreed then... Well, why not?

"Of course." Fawnkit said breathlessly. "Well, let;s begin! We have three new warriors, Foreverwings, Sunsight, and Moonsoft. Foreverwings is in love with Forgottensong. Anyway, the gathering made our mom angry cause everyone was talking about battling SilenceClan, but she said 'This is my battle-our battle', referring to TrueClan."

"That alone can help your mother greatly." She said with a smile. Ripplekit nodded.
"Well, we've also lost two warriors to ThunderClan. And it seems there's a bit of darkness brewing in the Clan, with not-so-happy cats. Including our older siblings from a different litter." He said with a grin and a nod. Telling the she-cat was easy and kind of fun, too.
